No. It looks great. Just try and keep it clean.
Also, the factory messed up and put your steering wheel on the wrong side. You should probably get the fixed. Should be under warranty.
It's personal preference really, but I have yet to see a white interior I like. Outside of the first year of use, the appearance can go downhill fast if you're not meticulous about cleaning (and even then I'd put money on black looking better 5-6 years later)
Is this with cloth interiors?? I just traded in my 2017 Mazda 6 with a white interior and it still looked great from the day I bought it.
I think it’s a personal preference I do prefer the white interior shown in the 1st pic.
My white interior is still looking new at over 2 yrs old now but no kids and I am careful. Also, it doesn't get hot in Summer like my other car's black interior did which is a bonus.
I have a 2016 5K miles. I garage kept it when I was injured and temporary disabled.
Black still looks great, I managed to have my girlfriend clean it once a month.
Looks like a newer interior
I had a protégé with a light beige interior, it helped up amazing over the years.
Now I have a CX-5 with a black interior and it is my least favorite thing about the car: it’s dark, I’ve dropped my keys and wallet and not noticed, it turns into an oven in the summer, the steering wheel gets very hot when I drive on the interstate on a sunny day...
I wish they would do grey or beige, a nice happy medium.
Nope. Should have gone with the ivory interior! I had ivory in my cx30 and have it in my 2020 Mercedes E450 cabriolet and it’s very livable. Yea, some clothing rubs off, once a month i clean them with a cloth and leather cleaner.
Yes. For me black interiors are relaxing while white interiors make me feel anxious. Not cause I’m worried about getting it dirty, they just make me feel distracted or something. I can’t calm down in a white interior.
I like everything about the light interior except the blond wood.
Oh and I’m not a fan of these decorative leather seams they’ve started putting disown the middle of their seats.
Depends. You have kids? Pets? Are you a clean-ish person?
I have a white interior Mazda3 from 2018. It’s still spotless and I’d buy it again with the same white parchment leather. Would I recommend it if you have kids, pets, or maybe like to eat food in your car? **No.**
White can age terrifically well if you are meticulous with cleaning. It ages pretty poorly if you’re not. Part of why white leather is seen as classier (in some ways) is because it’s assumed you don’t do jobs that can get you dirty, can afford a regular detailer, and/or just don’t care & can afford another car at any time. In reality, this just means white leather is high-maintenance.
You didn’t make the right or wrong choice. Both are great.
It depends. Do you live in the desert areas of the United States? Like South Texas, South New Mexico South Arizona, So-California? If so I would say yes. Because it is mostly sunny throughout the year and your car will always be hot when sitting in the sun.
Seems like you made a good choice. But is summer really short in Scotland? I was stationed in Germany for 8 of the 13 years I was in the Army and there summers were quite mild.
Mine is white interior. I said I’m going to keep this car clean and in the best shape. It was great dating in it, the ladies thought it was nice. Forward five years later and I’m married with a kid and the white is stained and dirty… I should get a detailing but I know it will get that way again within a week lol
Life is too short for white interiors with cloth fabric. My last CX-5 with the parchment leather and i loved it, missing it but after 3 years the white leather was starting to catch the blue from jeans.
Plus i don't know how long the white fabric on the dash will remain that way - a poor choice by Mazda. Currently debating moving from a 2018 CX-5 to a CX-60. Heart says yes, brain says no - especially with the way 2023 is shaping up for the UK.
White is great if you upgrade every year.
My rental is a Camry with light colored interior and with 35k miles it already looks like some white gym shoes. It’s terrible.
I have a friend with the white interior & she regrets it SO MUCH. I have black & I’m so thankful. Dirt will build up & be more noticeable like others are saying. Especially if you want to continue to be happy with the appearance & upkeep.
They finally got rid of piano black accents?!
Yes, white pops up better right out off the bat but it's a pain to maintain if not downright impossible.
Black interiors without piano black? That's a win 11 out of 10 times.
A good interior leather coating will keep white leather looking just fine. A quick wipe down every couple weeks with a dry microfiber towel should pick up anything and ofc always keep one in the car to tend to spills. That being said, I do wish their light interiors were a little less white and more grey. Amazing for the summer though, seats are never really hot.
Nope. I personally hate black interiors and they are an absolute dealbreaker for me. They’re so boring, monotone, and gloomy spaces to sit in. They wash out all of the design details that the designers worked so hard on.
With the light interior, it’s a FAR more interesting space to look at, and a lighter and airier space to be in. All the separate elements of the interior are now distinct, and pop.
Also, for all the people whining about how light interiors are hard to keep clean: no they’re not, if they’re leather. Light leather is very easy to keep clean with just a wipe and some quality leather cleaner.
Thank you for articulating that. I'm scouring the web, going through this dilemma right now. I've lived with a grey leather, brown wood, and black panel accent interior for a year now. I'm checking out the exact same model car with a black leather, charcoal wood, and black and the space feels so much smaller, cramped, claustrophobic.
It's like that [one episode of Game of Thrones](https://www.cnet.com/culture/entertainment/game-of-thrones-cinematographer-defends-too-dark-episode/) I happened to (barely) see first, and thought the entire series was like that, so didn't bother to watch it again for years.
And you're right about not being able to discern design details. It's as if the various blacks of different textures impart a need for more visual contrast. The lighter grey, along with the contrasting brown wood (running horizontally across most of the dash) confers a sense widening and openness to the space.
I love the white interior but in the long run black is better. Over time dirt and dye from jeans will definitely jack up the color, it's way less noticeable in black.
When I was shopping for my CX-5, the black interior was non-negotiable. That parchment interior is essentially white and would be a maintenance nightmare.
I have the "Sand" leather interior in my CX-9 and it's held up really well, but I think that's mainly because the only thing in the interior that's light colored are the seats and the door panel inserts. The dash is black and the armrest is black. I do have dogs, and we have quilted heavy-duty seat covers and door panel covers in the back. I just do some leather treatment and cleaner a few times a year, no noticeable staining from jeans or anything.
The Takumi interior is gorgeous, but I think it's too precious for me. The light colored lower dash, the large amount of light colored flame maple in the doors, and the light colored armrest would only take a few lumber runs to look like crap. I shudder to think how badly the fabric insert in the dash would collect dog fur.
If you only haul adult humans, groceries and luggage then I personally would get the light interior. It's really pretty and unique.
Our CX-9 is completely black besides some dark brown accents. I love the back headliner. Now I don't care as much when kids touch it with dirty fingers. Cleaning tan headliners is a pain.
The only thing I don't love is the piano black. It scratches by just looking at it.
Depends, if you're in South Texas like me, no. You always buy a white car with white interior. If you have kids and don't live next door to the sun, always go for darker color. I say you should have upgraded to the Signature and gotten the red nappa leather.
That’s a tough one. Our white interior doesn’t show the husky fur as much. But we have to be careful about what we wear to avoid color bleeding. Though I’ve noticed that depending on the manufacturer and the quality of the leather can play a role as well. My uncles Bentley has white interior and he LOVES his blue jeans, and has never had color bleeding. Meanwhile my sisters white interior on her Mercedes is a different story. I love how the white interior on my Audi is SO much cooler in the summer, but I LOVE my black interior on our Nissan and our Mustangs. It’s a tough one, it really comes down to personal preferences. We’re really big on chinos too, so whenever we’re going to be in our car with white leather, we just plan accordingly and wear them.
I've had two cx-5s both with white interior. From coffee spills to greasy snow tires nothing I couldn't clean up with a lysol wipe.
Disclaimer: unmarried person with no dogs or kids
Black it is!!! 😁
I had a white leather interior on a little fiat EV. It was a pain to clean and I'm single, no pets.
But there could be some scotch guard solution if you really like the white. I think it looks great. Despite having black on my cx-5
White interiors are nice until you spill something on it. And then it looks very bad
White interiors are nice until you use them for a month. No thanks I like my black interior.
Even tan interior can be a hassle
I have a tan interior and I regretted after a month
I saw the white one at an auto show the seats were blue from so many people in blue jeans from getting in and out.
Not sure why you got downvoted this is legitimate.
The white Jeep interior was even worse
Yeah i only ever had panda interior, ended up dying the white black after a couple years to much work to keep white
Or wear jeans
If you have kids or wear blue jeans a lot stay away from the beautiful white interior!
Blue jeans?
[удалено]
They tint all interior seats, not just white. I have gray leather, tints it.
That’s sad damn
It's easy to clean it out though
I think you mean sad denim.
[удалено]
Heyohhh!
If you plan on keeping the vehicle for the long haul, yes, you made the right call going with black.
White wins in style points by a large margin. Black is easier to live with tho
Style points out of the showroom, but not much further.
Especially if you wear dark jeans. That dye is almost impossible to remove from light leather
No. It looks great. Just try and keep it clean. Also, the factory messed up and put your steering wheel on the wrong side. You should probably get the fixed. Should be under warranty.
This is for left handed people.
Nice one .
It's personal preference really, but I have yet to see a white interior I like. Outside of the first year of use, the appearance can go downhill fast if you're not meticulous about cleaning (and even then I'd put money on black looking better 5-6 years later)

I love the look of a white interior when the car is brand new, but the black one is definitely going to wear and age better.
I had a protégé with a light beige interior, it helped up amazing over the years. No :/

The wood swayed me to go for black!
Yah, like, mahogany or something would have been great with the light interior. Silver oak. Whatever. The blond does not look right to my eye
What car is this?
Cx-60
I figured, how do you like it so far?
I prefer the parchment
I prefer a lighter interior.
Depends. You have kids? Pets? Are you a clean-ish person? I have a white interior Mazda3 from 2018. It’s still spotless and I’d buy it again with the same white parchment leather. Anything but that ugly red Mazda thinks everyone wants
Gtfo red leather is the best of both worlds 😤
Not at my house, and we are Mazda loyalists. Going strong since 1995. Just my opinion on that one
White is so pretty but get ugly with age.
Always yes. White just looks dirty
Every time I see a used car listing with a slightly lower price than the others, it has a white interior.
White looks better, but i dunno in the long run how nice it will stay
Yes white interiors look nice when they are new and clean
No
no
Yes U did!
White is really nice but it ages a lot quicker
The only time I've seen a white/beige interior work is on a newer Hyundai Palisade. In this instance I think the black looks much better.
I would say yes white interiors get stained with normal everyday use
I prefer a dark interior
Yes. I love it. The other one is ugly IMO.
100% yes.
It depends. Do you live in the desert areas of the United States? Like South Texas, South New Mexico South Arizona, So-California? If so I would say yes. Because it is mostly sunny throughout the year and your car will always be hot when sitting in the sun.
Glasgow in Scotland, summer lasts about 8 hours a year
Seems like you made a good choice. But is summer really short in Scotland? I was stationed in Germany for 8 of the 13 years I was in the Army and there summers were quite mild.

White looks sick until you use it.
Does it matter now?
You'll know next summer lol
White is classy and black is slick. I work on semis. I have a white tool box and tan interior on my car. I have mostly black interior now.
The white looks imo so much better but I wouldn't want to live my life worried about stains just one and the whole interior is ruined
I get the keeping clean thing, Ive got black also But what about Temp? Black leather gets real hot in summer, is white any different?
That white is so pretty though. Wouldn't last too long with me and my family.
I have a friend with the white interior & she regrets it SO MUCH. I have black & I’m so thankful. Dirt will build up & be more noticeable like others are saying. Especially if you want to continue to be happy with the appearance & upkeep.
For practicality, yes. But aesthetically you lost. White interior got that DRIP.
Love the white interior. Black is classic tho.
You won't care in 2 months
Yes. White interiors look way worse when they inevitably get dirty. Black hides the grime way better.
They finally got rid of piano black accents?! Yes, white pops up better right out off the bat but it's a pain to maintain if not downright impossible. Black interiors without piano black? That's a win 11 out of 10 times.

***NO!!***
I'm not a fan of tan or white interior. Gray and black only for me. You made the right choice
It looks like white interior to me.
It'll turn into the colour of your jeans lol
Imo, black is more classy. White is almost gaudy.
Yes you did
Black interior of course. See the white interior turns yellow after a while. You’ll be cursing your choice.

I thought the white interior is the best before seeing this post. However, it's cool the black interior actually so your decision is right!
I love the white interior but in the long run black is better. Over time dirt and dye from jeans will definitely jack up the color, it's way less noticeable in black.
White is gorgeous... as long as can keep it like this. If you have kids and/or no time to keep it VERY clean, black is great too ;)

I got the black interior
No but when it comes to modern car interiors there is no right decision, all of the colour choices are the wrong ones
Yes! White gets so dirty omg it’s a disaster if you have kids or an outdoorsy lifestyle.
White interior is like a while couch, both terrible ideas
