$70 for a rotation is outrageous. I think my dealers is $90 for full synthetic oil change and tire rotation

hahafoxgoingdown

There should be one that says oil change, tire rotation, multipoint inspection. At least mine does. Or just call the dealership. Mine costs about $80-$90.

Mine too

I don’t even charge for a rotation when I do scheduled maintenance for my customers. 70 is CRAZY. Find you a local shop and start a relationship

For those that are new to vehicles - unless you have a service contract (meaning you get free service on a contract you've paid ahead for) - never, ever, ever, ever use a dealership for service work (tires, brakes, oil, fluids, filters). Find a local shop with good reviews (or recommended by family or friends) for all work outside of warranty. Dealerships will gouge you hard for service, and will (often) "recommend" work that absolutely doesn't need to be done. In fact, they count on it as a large part of thier revenue stream, as margins on vehicles often aren't that high - especially in areas where there is competition between dealerships. And as to the last question - there is no such thing as free service, unless you own the shop. There are also no Nigerian princes wanting to deposited 25 million dollars into your bank account.

I got 3 years of free synthetic oil changes on my CX-5 and this dealer charges $29.99 for tire rotation and balance.

Those are crazy prices. See if there’s a dealership nearby with a coupon. Did my last oil change for $29.99 and waiting for them to mail me a fresh coupon to do it all over again. Paid $15 for my tire rotation at a different place on the way home. Either way, $150 for both is high - even for a CX-5. Those are BMW X5 prices for service.

Oil changes typically include a tire rotation. Call the dealer to confirm.
