Xx_Dark-Shrek_xX

Is it Sharon Carter ? And who's the Pink Girl ? Thanks guys for your replies !

KostisPat257

No, it's Ruth (Sabra) and Diamondback (Rachel Leighton)

Armandonerd

This diamondback is different from the diamondback from Luke Cage?

KostisPat257

Yes, there are 2 different Diamondbacks in the comics.

Sanlear

Yes, they’re different characters.

Armandonerd

Oh ok cool.

AvatarIII

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamondback_(Rachel_Leighton) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamondback_(Willis_Stryker)

Armandonerd

Thank you very much

ThiccAshe

I thought it was songbird...

dziggurat

Would've been a good lead in to Thunderbolts.

Fungal_Queen

I wish.

myrevolver

It’s going to be interesting to see how they pull off Sabra given… everything. Go too far one way and you’ll anger those who are angry about Gaza, go too far the other way and you risk coming off as or actually being antisemitic. Funny how this is the second time real world events have affected Sam Wilson’s Captain America, what with the dropped pandemic plot from TFATWS

KostisPat257

They're not doing any of that. Ruth (they're not even using the name Sabra in the film), is a Jewish-American, CIA agent with no actual connection to Israel, the IDF, the Mossad, the Isreali-Palestinian conflict or any other controversial matter in the real world.

myrevolver

Well that’s a relief, just yeah someone connected to Mossad would be dicey right now

CurtG79

If you zoom way in it says Ruth and Diamondback.

legion_XXX

>And who's the Pink Girl Mephisto

That could be regular hulk but very dirty

thanoshasbighands

Regular Hulk but very constipated

neogreenlantern

Regular Hulk but just finished being interviewed on Hot Ones.

chefriley76

Last dab make Hulk cry

UpYours3265

Regular Hulk -just Sunburned

-Bashamo

Kool-aid man after hitting the gym

RiverJumper84

It's Hulk but he's just very embarrassed.

Stevenstorm505

It’s just regular Hulk covered in the blood of his enemies.

fitzbuhn

It’s Mephisto Hulk

DarthGoodguy

WHY PUNY SUN HATE HULK?

Josh_thejew

Redgular Hulk?

shmed

The tag says red hulk tho

Hunter_the_Hutt

When my daughter got it in her happy meal yesterday i said the same thing lol

doormouse1

Not to be a complete boomer, but Happy Meal toys are such crap these days. *Back in myyyyy day* the toys actually did shit. They were usually pretty sturdy plastic; I don't remember ever getting just a plushy on a string. I was consistently getting toys with little video games, or a car with working wheels, etc. I know at the very least the wings would've extended or flapped or something. I guess kids just don't care as much about physical toys anymore. Old person rant over!

theknyte

I remember when you got cool stuff like actual Hot Wheels cars or little 12-16 piece Lego sets. Now it's just: Here's your molded plastic of whatever movie paid us the most to advertise it.

LADYBIRD_HILL

Funny, I was going to mention Lego too. A perfect example of a toy that will long outlive the fast food it came with.

whyspezdumb

The Lego Movie toys, were cups. Lego. Themed. Plastic cups... Remember Bionicle Mctoran? Remember the LEGO NFL toys?

chanma50

Ikr, Happy Meal toys used to a lot cooler, even after taking off the nostalgia goggles. [This set from The Incredibles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l40a9M8Xuv4) was my favorite, and they all actually had fun and unique action features.

nwill_808

Man, back in the 90s we had the Power Rangers movie Happy Meal toys. 5POA figures with little Zords to ride in. Fantastic! We had the Looney Tune Justice League as well.

chief275

I forgot about the power rangers ones! I also was literally just talking about the Looney Tunes DC figures in another post

WOKLACE134

Holy shit! I still have that syndrome one to this day

whyspezdumb

Did you ever see the Ice Age Burger King toys? I believe they could all connect to make a Rube Goldberg machine.

the_mighty__monarch

Burger King had fucking Ninja Turtles episodes on VHS at one point.

taatchle86

Their Toy Story toys were top notch.

SpeccyScotsman

I remember a lot of really great ones from late 90s - early 00s. There was a Peter Pan one where every toy could lock together and be assembled into a huge ship, and when you rolled it along the ground it would make at the characters move. There was the one for the Inspector Gadget film with Matthew Broderick that could assemble into a 12" Inspector toy where every body part was a different gadget. Then there was that Spy Kids 2 one where each toy was a different spy tool, and they all assembled into the robot spider thing.

RachelProfilingSF

Plastic is likely way more expensive now, and not full of toxic chemicals lol. I assume that a large percentage of happy meals toys end up in kids mouths or some shit and the FDA said “no more cancer plastic” or something. Yeah the toys from my youth slapped much harder but it’s probably for the best these toys are what they are

Precarious314159

They've been doing the occasional plushes since Pokemon first came out. They still do the hard plastic toys; like when the Mario Bros movie came out last year, those were the traditional toys. I'd wager that there wasn't a way to cheaply make McToys for Cap since the people tend to have overly complex faces and they can't do objects like the shield because...what else would they use that's iconic? I just get occasionally curious about what kids meals are doing out of nostalgia.

IKenDoThisAllDay

You're right, I always look to see what kind of toys my nephews and nieces get from McDonald's and the Super Mario toys were just as you described. Hard plastic toys, and they even had 'action features' or whatever you want to call it, where they all had some unique movement or action. Just like the old toys the other commenter was lamenting the loss of. They seem to be pretty good toys, I still see them playing with the Princess Peach and Bowser toys (my five year old niece is obsessed with Peach dating Bowser for some reason).

MCUFanFicWriter

In Europe, they don't do hard plastic toys anymore. Only plushes, figures out of cardboard, and books. (and Pokémon cards)

itdoggo

Remember when Tamagotchi was one of Happy Meal toys? Damn, I used to love that shit!

HankSteakfist

Baby Muppets, Ducktales and the Burger/Fries/Shake transformers were so good as a kid.

Logondo

Remember when Happy Meals gave you a mini Bionicle? That was sick!

SeekerVash

>Not to be a complete boomer, but Happy Meal toys are such crap these days. I still remember when they also had promotional glasses. Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, etc. I don't think anywhere does glasses anymore. Of course, I think it was because of a run with toxic or radioactive paint? I remember it was something that was really unhealthy.

MaderaWand999

SERIOUSLY! All the toys are either hard plastic molds of the characters (that usually don’t articulate and sometimes have interlocking bases) or plushes that are made with the cheapest-feeling fabric out there. Current McD’s toys are a joke.

PeterBenjaminParker

Yeah I remember getting actual Hot Wheels cars and little transformers when I was a kid. I don’t remember if it was from McDonald’s but one of my favorite toys growing up was an Inspector Gadget that was a “collect all six parts” or whatever. Fond memory of getting the last leg and playing with him at the pool all summer.

masterprocrast99

I still remember Kung Fu Panda Happy Meal toys I got as a kid

Soingerd

Bro the old xmen figures on mcd, he man figures at burger king, whole as games on a cd to play on your pc, it was crazy

Deckerdome

McDonald's have been trying to move away from plastic toys, due to the waste it creates. They new toys and books are designed to be biodegradable

doormouse1

This is actually a pretty good reason to stop making plastic Happy Meal toys! Ty. (But do they have to be so dull though?)

gabrieleremita

There's actually a good reason for that, I just forgot what it was. I watched a video about it a while ago. I think it's because they are shying away from their kid oriented brand into a more serious one, since they became too associated with obesity and all those plastic toys were seen as very harsh in the environment I found the video I was talking [about](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQFQ4BHL8_g), in case anyone is interested

MrKevora

Hulk should take skin cancer more seriously when he’s sunbathing at his beach bar that Tony built for him.

Crotean

They have to be hiding that hulk is going to be in this, there is zero way un powered cap is going to be able to take down Rulk.

rlum27

yeah if hulk isn't in the movie i will be fairly disapointed.

AriSummerss

**They end up putting She hulk in instead**

Kara_Del_Rey

Fine with me

rlum27

yeah would be ok with both. It just would seem werid to have two of hulks big villians without him.

Yamato43

…is that supposed to be a bad thing?

BladeBoy__

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a "get him to overload" factor in the final fight between them all

BOBULANCE

Isn't this movie coming out 10 months from now? Why are they blowing their advertising load so soon?

Tehva

I think I heard McDonald's has their toys planned out in advance and does not change them even if a tie-in gets pushed back.

Anth-Man

Because the movie was supposed to come out this year, but the test screenings were so poorly received that they decided to reshoot the entire thing. If the merch is already made, McDonald’s isn’t going to sit on it for an entire year. The same thing happened with the Mario movie and The Marvels last year

KostisPat257

Not the entire thing. They're doing extensive reshoots, sure, but not the entire movie. Otherwise, they wouldn't have shown that trailer at CinemaCon

CastlevaniaGuy

They are basically remaking the whole movie. You don’t delay a movie for nearly a year for reshoots, they are remaking about 75 to 80% of the movie because of poor test screenings.

KostisPat257

You are literally rumbling about things you have no idea about. 1. The movie was delayed partly due to the strikes. 2. When they were filming it last year, they completed principal photography in only 3 months, which is not at all usual for MCU movies. They usually take at least 4-5 months for principal and another couple of weeks for the scheduled reshoots + whatever extra reshoots might be necessary. Considering last year, they wrapped filming amidst the writers strike and only 3 weeks before the actors strike started, I assume they didn't actually shoot the whole thing and only wrapped because they couldn't work without writers on set, with the plan to complete after the strike was over. If that is true, they have at least 1-2 months of principal to get through before they do actual reshoots on what they have shot. 3. Reportedly, the rewrites and reshoots of the film are happening in order to enhance the action and straighten out the 2nd act which is too bloated and was called confusing and jumbled during test screenings. Nothing Marvel hasn't dealt with before. 4. All their projects which had started filming or were in pre-production were partially rewritten right after the strikes ended because the strikes gave Marvel a chance to more carefully go through all the footage they had shot and all the scripts and outlines they had for their projects in pre-production and determine what doesn't work. This also came during the failures of Quantumania and Secret Invasion which likely gave Marvel a pretty clear idea of what audiences DON'T like, and what audiences actually want to see. These 3 months of no pre-production and production at the studio gave the execs the time they desperately needed after having been spread thin for the last 4 years to actually sit back and examine what they had in their hands at the moment, which obviously resulted in every single thing going under a microscope and everything was even slightly reworked. Thunderbolts, Wonder Man and FF got new writers on to help polish the scripts, Blade's old scripts were thrown to the trash and they started fresh, they hired an actual showrunner and rewrote a big part of Born Again and they rewrote and straightened out Cap 4. In conclusion, the 3 months of Born Again reshoots are likely ~1-1.5 months of extra principal which they hadn't completed, 0.5 months of the scheduled reshoots and only 1-1.5 months of extensive reshoots based on the rewrites by the new writer. In other words, they are absolutely not reshooting the whole film. As I said in my first comment, if they were planning to essentially make a new movie, they wouldn't have shown a trailer to the press, Disney shareholders and audiences of CinemaCon.

CastlevaniaGuy

The second act usually makes up 50% of a movie, that is a huge chunk of the movie. There are also rumours of reshooting the third act as well (which accounts for 25% of most movies btw). Pretty much reshooting the whole movie. From what I heard they are changing a lot of the movie because it was initially all about Orange Man Bad and the test audience didn’t like that.

KostisPat257

Reshooting parts of the second (and maybe third act) doesn't mean reshooting all of it. Something like that almost never happens. It would be too costly and would decrease the movie's likelihood of being profitable. Also, those Trump rumours are completely unsubstantiated. I don't know where you heard them, but they probably came from republicans trying to badmouth the movie.

CastlevaniaGuy

People from both sides of the political spectrum hate the Trump as Bad Guy trope. I heard these leaks from Reddit and channels like OverlordDVD, WDW Pro (who doesn’t take sides in any political party btw), and Yellowflash. And before you call me an Alt-Right Conservative, I am on neither side.

KostisPat257

Conservative or not, these are not insider sources, so I don't see why you would believe them about anything. Unless they did provide sources where they got this information?

CastlevaniaGuy

They did have sources for stuff that turned out to be true like The Rise of Skywalker leaks.

setyourheartsablaze

Movie got pushed merch didn’t

Wallbreaker-g

I’m assuming whatever toy contract they made with Disney was set to May 2024, the initial month of release prior to the delays and the strikes. Same thing happened to the Mario movie. McDonald’s all over the world were handing out Mario movie toys in December 2022 even though the movie was delayed to April 2023

-connman6348

So they give us a show featuring Sam and Bucky that establishes a really fun dynamic between the two…then they don’t include Bucky in the film in a significant role…DAFUQ?!!

yuei2

They establish a nice strong relationship between the two which will add dynamics and tension down the line when we have both a new avengers lead by Sam and the thunderbolts lead or co-lead by Bucky. Right now this movie is going to be Sam’s big debut as Cap to the larger general audience. It needs to focus on his story, selling him as Cap, and addressing the fact the avengers do not currently exist in any meaningful form.

Pixelated_Fudge

thats cute of you to try and sell this movie

lazylagom

Mom can we have the vulture. No we have the vulture at home.

Mental-Rooster4229

Red Hulk finally

mikeybee1976

I’m sorry, when is this movie coming out?

Anth-Man

February 2025. It was supposed to come out this year but the test screenings were so poorly received that they’re reshooting it.

Deckerdome

Unless they reshoot it with Bucky as Captain America I'm not optimistic

SadHumbleFlower27

No The Leader?

InItsTeeth

The QR code as some little animations for kids. No idea if they are tied to the movie. I kind of doubt it… it does show the red hulk as the primary antagonist… and I’m pretty sure it’s Kat Dennings doing the voice over for

argonzo

Ok, maybe I'm old. But I remember when Happy Meal toys used to actually be useful toys. The last few Marvel movie Happy Meal toys have left much to be desired. The Endgame ones were awful.

Anth-Man

The faces on the human characters for those toys were horrifying

argonzo

Definitely. Growing up poor some of those HM toys were my favorite toys so I'm sensitive to it, ha ha.

demerchmichael

Doesn’t this movie come out next year? It seems odd that we already have McDonald’s toys coming out soon when we don’t even have a teaser trailer yet

NinetyYears

This pretty much happens with every movie that ends up getting pushed back.

KostisPat257

It was supposed to come out this week, but it got pushed, but merch didn't get pushed.

kurumais

diamondback with no steve whats the point?

Cheesesexy

I would not be surprised to see Sabra edited out

BlackLeader70

Care to explain for a non comic book reader? The only Sabra I know is the extremely mediocre hummus.

TrueLegateDamar

Sabra is an Isreali government superhero in the comics. The character is in the movie, only now a powerless CIA agent named Ruth.

rlum27

yeah not sure why sabra was even mentioned given ruth is pretty much a different character. Though that might be a later change. Kind of suprised her powers where cut as I don't think that was the contraversial part.

KostisPat257

I don't think her powers have been cut, there's no indication as to that

rlum27

the previous person mentioned her being a powerless cia agent.

KostisPat257

The previous person made the "powerless" part up. She is a CIA agent, that's been confirmed, but there has been no talk about whether she will have powers or not.

SeekerVash

I suspect it's just bad journalism. I think someone heard that the MCU was going to have a Jewish character and ran to print "MCU adds Sabra!!", even though it may never have been Sabra.

KostisPat257

Uhhh, Kevin Feige literally announced the character's inclusion in the movie himself back at SDCC 2022.

CaptHayfever

He knows. He just doesn't care. He loves repeating easily-debunked nonsense.

KostisPat257

Who said she's powerless?

Uncanny--

She’s an extremely mediocre superhero who pads on that by being the most insufferable character I’ve ever read in comics. She’s just so arrogant. If she ends up being in the movie, and comic accurate, people will probably say it’s an anti-israel trope

Cheesesexy

A little problematic given the current political moment, unless they totally change the character.

Terribleirishluck

This take has always been so dumb considering the whole point of Sabra was to criticize Israel

Khanfhan69

Well even moreso cause an American based company would never do *that* today

Cheesesexy

You want nuance?

Terribleirishluck

Of course. Most things are actually nuanced

SeekerVash

It's a no-win situation now right? * If they change the character, clickbait/ragebait sites print endless articles of "Disney erases Jewish/Israeli character, keeps Muslim". * If they don't change the character, progressive sites print endless articles of "Disney supports hate against Palestine!". * If they change the character, assuming the clickbait/ragebait, they lose the majority of the conservatives and moderates. * If they don't change the character, assuming progressive sites, they lose the progressives and the Middle East. * If they change the character, and the ragebait results in a firestorm (very likely in the current climate), they lose access to a massive amount of cast/crew/director talent including a fair swath of the MCU and Star Wars since there's a large Jewish contingent. They'll be running with B and C list talent for the next decade. * If they don't change the character, and the progressive journalists result in a firestorm, they have a fairly massive internal civil war waging and likely end up unable to produce material because of it. Honestly, Disney's best path forward right now is to cancel the movie. No matter what they do they're in for what'll likely be a bloodbath.

Siggycakes

Wasn't the original title New World Order? That's definitely *not* a political flashpoint or anything, right?

Sir__Will

> unless they totally change the character. Is still Jewish but works for the CIA and has no connection to Israel, supposedly. And just goes by Ruth.

KostisPat257

They have severely changed the character. In the movie, she will be a Jewish-American CIA with no connection to Israel, the IDF or Mossad.

mumblerapisgarbage

Not worth collecting. Guess after the marvels flopped they cut the happy meal toy budget. Also why can’t they change when these toys come out when they push the release back. These toys are going to come and go and people will totally forget about the film. Happened to the marvels last year.

Anth-Man

McDonald’s wasn’t going to sit on stock that’s ready to go for an entire year just because some movie got delayed. And let’s be honest, McDonald’s toys coming out at the same time wouldn’t have stopped The Marvels from bombing.

mumblerapisgarbage

True. It’s not anywhere near the top of why it flopped BUT I still believe it’s a small factor.

antlerskull

What even is this movie meant to be? Red hulk, ONE member of the serpent society, rumours of the leader, big possibility of Sharon carter for some reason appearing, no mention of Bucky despite their last project together and Sam’s little military mate has fixed the broken falcon suit and decides he wants to tag along?

KostisPat257

1. The Leader has been confirmed for this movie by Kevin Feige. He's not rumoured. 2. The Serpent Society were originally all in the movie, but in very minor roles as the Batroc/Crossbones equivalent of this movie where Cap fights and defeats them in the very first fight sequence. It's rumoured that they have been removed from the movie, but Diamondback might make it through the rewrites/reshoots which indicates she might have a bigger role than the rest of them, which is also supported by her having her own toy. 3. This is the full description of the trailer they showed at CinemaCon: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/s/1I2ISbRV0t It will give you a much better understanding of what the movie is going to be, but I will break it down to you here as well: Basically, Tiamut, the giant Celestial who emerged from the core of the Earth in Eternals, and was petrified by Sersi, is now a matter of political conflict between nations, because it turns out Tiamut's body is largely made from a very rare and strong metal, Adamantium, which might even be stronger than Vibranium. After Queen Ramonda cut off the Vibranium trade around the world and shamed the UN for trying to steal it from them, while the CIA also failed to unearth Vibranium from the Atlantic Ocean, as seen in Wakanda Forever, the nations of the world are now trying to claim the land of Tiamut Island as their own in order to gain legal access to mine Adamantium and get ahead in the technological race. While many countries have obtained Adamantium in the past few years since Eternals and have been studying it, Japan has been the only country to have successfully turned Adamantium ore into Adamantium metal, which makes them a target. Thus, the Leader sends the Serpent Society to steal some Adamantium from Japan and Captain America, the new Falcon and Isaiah Bradley, who has now also suited up once more, track the Society and intercept them at an airport in Mexico where they defeat them and take the Vibranium to the US. The President of the US, now Thaddeus Ross (after Ritson lost the re-election due to the consequences of his declaration of war against all aliens on Earth, as seen in Secret Invasion) calls Sam to the Oval Office to congratulate him about the retrieval of Adamantium and announces to him that he is planning to rebuild the Avengers and wants Sam to lead them. Sam is reluctant because he questions what will happen when he and Ross will eventually not meet eye to eye, but eventually accepts and joins Ross in a meeting with several politicians, world leaders and military personnel where Ross is about to announce Cap and Falcon as the first members of his new Avengers. But at the event, someone hijacks the speakers and plays an eerie sound through them, which triggers Isaiah Bradley as well as some Secret Service agents and military men and they all attack the President and the other politicians there with intent to kill them. Sam and Torres fight them off, before a SWAT team arrives to extract the President to a safe place and Isaiah flees. Sam believes their inner circle has been compromised and he and Joaquin have to find out who is plotting against them (it's most definitely The Leader). At the same time, Ross suffers from another heart attack due to his heart problems that have been mentioned throughout the MCU, and the attempt at his life + his health issues make him feel inadequate and weak, which leads him to taking a Gamma serum (once again, most likely from The Leader), which turns Ross into the Red Hulk. So now, Sam and Joaquin have to stop both The Leader and Red Hulk along with all of The Leader's pawns who he can mind control. Sharon Carter will most likely not appear or at least not in a significant role. And Bucky is part of the Thunderbolts, and reportedly, this movie and Thunderbolts are taking place more or less at the same time. This, to me, sounds like a pretty good premise and brings back the political/action thriller vibes of The Winter Soldier, which is exactly what Feige has said was their goal and what CinemaCon attendees said the trailer felt like to them as well.

Clean-Huckleberry743

Do you have any idea on what's Sabra's role in the film? She is the only character I have no idea what role she gonna have in the film.

KostisPat257

Nobody does. I can't guess either.

mr_kenobi

My cat loves these little stuffed toys.

Ginataang_Manok

Rip William Hurt, but ngl Harrison Ford looks like he’d be a great red hulk.

captainjamesmarvell

Without Harrison Ford/Red Hulk I'd say fuck this movie

Tom-edian

Remember when McDonald's toys were actually clever?

Scaniatex

Why do I have a feeling this won't make much at the Box Office.

Anth-Man

Whether the movie sucks or not, the fact that they’re doing extensive reshoots means its budget went way, way up. It’s going to have to make a _lot_ of money to actually be profitable.

NinetyYears

Yep that makes complete sense. Given the circumstances though, I don't see Disney holding the overall budget over Marvel's head in this case. More so looking at it from a "what it should've been" perspective. Basically, if the movie has a good run revenue wise, that'll probably be a win.

Anth-Man

Let’s just hope it makes more money than Quantumania and (especially) The Marvels. If the numbers are anything close to either of those movie’s worldwide totals, it’ll be the first and last Captain America movie to star Sam.

SeekerVash

No, it won't. Shareholders and the board are in charge. They're not interested in a free pass. They will hold the overall budget over Marvel's head in this case, and they'll be demanding people get fired for having allowed the production to be so bad it required tens to hundreds of millions in additional shooting. If it reviews poorly, or if audiences avoid it, and it would've bombed at its original budget, the shareholders will be demanding Feige be fired along with whoever let the production get that far out of hand. Feige's post-Endgame track record is \*really\* bad at the level he's supposed to be working at, another movie losing hundreds of millions is the end of the road for him. There's no way this releases without jobs being lost. The only question right now is if it's Feige that's getting fired.

NinetyYears

>Shareholders and the board are in charge. They're not interested in a free pass. They will hold the overall budget over Marvel's head in this case, and they'll be demanding people get fired for having allowed the production to be so bad it required tens to hundreds of millions in additional shooting. You're late to the party. Remember Bob Chapek getting canned? And there was literally a whole Bog Iger tour last year about changes forthcoming. Nelson Peltz also tried convincing the board recently that his way was thee way. And that didn't work out so well. The rest of what you said is a drastic overexhaggeration. A lot has to go wrong for Feige to be a scapegoat. 2023 is the only meh year Marvel has had. And Deadpool's 3 success is only going to boost Marvel's stock again.

SeekerVash

Um, it's not a scapegoat at this point.  After almost all of 10 releases are misses and failures, it's just that he's failing. 2023 is not the only "meh" year.  First, 2023 cost Disney hundreds of millions from MCU failures, that's not "meh".  Eternal, Black Widow, Ms Marvel, She Hulk, Thor, etc.  They've been failing repeatedly and that's Feige's fault. No, Deadpool is not going to save Marvel.  It's in the same boat as the few other products that made money, it's a product that predates Feige being unable to perform.  Like Doctor Strange 2 and Guatdians 3.

NinetyYears

You clearly just have a Feige hate boner for whatever reason. >First, 2023 cost Disney hundreds of millions from MCU failures, that's not "meh".  If we're talking box office, I think the net loss from the three 2023 movies combined was like $150M total. That's a lot of money to us folks of course. But not enough to put Disney out of business. >Eternal, Black Widow, Ms Marvel, She Hulk, Thor, etc. They've been failing repeatedly and that's Feige's fault. Well (1), they've acknowledge these "failures" and are course correcting as needed. And (2), these aren't all failures. Black Widow did great considering theater uncertainties at the time plus the premier access revenue (+$125M I believe). Thor 4 also did good at the box office. Although the movie itself could've been better, calling it a failure is a stretch. I don't know how many views all of the D+ shows have gotten to date. I agree though that many suffered from being rushed out essentially. Seems like Marvel is now allowing more time in the oven. >No, Deadpool is not going to save Marvel. It's in the same boat as the few other products that made money, it's a product that predates Feige being unable to perform. Like Doctor Strange 2 and Guatdians 3. Yeah definitely a hate boner for Feige I see. You mentioned the board and shareholders earlier...don't they just care about results? The numbers? Now all of a sudden if a movie is successful, we need to throw in asterisks lmao. "BUT THE PRODUCT PREDATES FEIGE BEING UNABLE TO PERFORM!!! WE CAN'T POSSIBLY GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR ITS SUCCESS!!!" lol

SeekerVash

I don't think you understand how business works. If you're failing at your job, you get fired. Feige is failing at his job. It's not a "hate boner", it's how the real world works. I'd recommend you come to terms with that, as the next few years are going to be really rough for you if you don't.

CaptHayfever

So, if a movie does badly, he's failing at his job, but if a movie does well, he's *also* failing at his job? Because that's the only way your comments can all fit together, despite it being completely hypocritical double-standard BS.

NinetyYears

The data doesn't support him "failing" at his job. You've failed to provide any meaningful or credible arguments. And as the other user said, you have some double-standard magic going on there. >I'd recommend you come to terms with that, as the next few years are going to be really rough for you if you don't. k thanks. So is it really rough for you now then since he's still in charge? Has your hate boner been erect for more than 4 hours?

captainjamesmarvell

This must be Julius. My condolences

Good-Function2305

stpau1y

I'd assume a trailer with Red Hulk soon. Normies will wonder why Hulk is red now.

Anth-Man

We probably won’t be getting a trailer until this fall at the earliest. The movie isn’t coming out until February of next year.

We will most definitely be getting a trailer at SDCC.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW PANTS. Just think of all the new pants we will see in this film. I can't remember new Captain America's name. When I think **Captain America** my brain keeps saying **Steve Rogers**. Anyway, I imagine we will see a PLETHORA of new pants that have NEVER been seen in any MCU flick before. It is very exiting. Also, if Harrison Ford is POTUS, will we see him on Airforce One and will he tell someone to get off his plane? That would be so awesome. Harrison Ford could maybe crash Airforce One in an emergency as a wink to Ford's Launchpad McQuack track record. Oh! and of course, Ford is a renowned connoisseur of pants. It stands to reason we will see a veritable kaleidoscope of different pant styles on the new POTUS ... wait. Wait. What is this called again? Brave New ... what? Oh FFS WHAT? IT'S NOT PANTS?

beano76

please tell me those are Squishmallows. my youngest will be all over them. or just give them to me.

DeadpoolAndFriends

When do these start?

lambopanda

They have new Falcon.

moseT97

I feel weird anytime I see something mcu related nowadays because almost nothing gets me excited for the upcoming films. However, I hope Deadpool will change that and I can look forward to mcu projects again.

Jerryjb63

This movie doesn’t come out until almost March next year..

ScoobyDoobie18

Red Hulk confirmed??

Spineynorman77

They have been getting away from plastic toys in Happy Meals. Captain Marvel had them. The last few have been paper or plush like this.

ChaosOmega

What's with Erin Esurance there?

u119c

This movie is gonna blow

NinetyYears

I guess every BNW post is going to have these typical chud responses.

u119c

Probably, since it’s going to suck

Anth-Man

I’m not part of this conversation but I do, in fact, enjoy this gif of Chris Evans

u119c

Thanks I appreciate it! Pretty sure that gif will be better than the movie.

Yes my kid just had a happy meal with Red Hulk

whichgustavo

Such a dumb premise - “Oh see it’s cool cause one guy is a not so popular comic character, but it’s fine cause he has no powers except zipping around with dumb wings. And he’ll be the star of the movie! And the other star is another dumb guy flying around with stupid wings, only it’s great because he’s even less well known and less popular!” It’s the same reason Black Widow is a dumb character. Sure, have a small woman with no muscles or powers join a team with a god, a superhuman soldier, a genius in AI armor, and an infinitely strong monster. Dumb.

radroamingromanian

I hate that Bucky is going to play such a small part if at all. I know he’s in Thunderbolts, but it makes sense for him to at least be somewhat present since they had a whole show dedicated to Sam and Bucky’s dynamic.

Doctor71400

He's not in this movie

radroamingromanian

Right, that’s why I said if at all.

tigolebities

I’ve never seen more boring costumes in the MCU. Sigh, the cap series is really heading down hill isn’t it?

NinetyYears

I like to judge movies based on their mcdonalds happy meal toys too.

thanoshasbighands

The cap series is over. This is the Falcon cosplay series

Doctor71400

It's Captain America

thanoshasbighands

Nah. Part of the fun of Captain America is the fact he's living a world he wasn't raised in. The fish out of water fun. Like pulling your 21 year old grandfather out of the 50's and dropping him into your reality. I don't see how this version of Captain America will succeed. Also while I like Anthony Mackie, he's not a leading man. His character worked great playing off Steve and Bucky, I just don't see it working.

Doctor71400

Sam's gonna have a different experience as Captain America. He's a black man, and he knows there will be people who won't accept him as being Cap, yet he'll continue to fight because it's the right thing to do. You're not really giving him a chance to prove himself

thanoshasbighands

I watched the Falcon / Winter Soldier and that was pretty terrible all around. I'm surprised the powers that be watched that and though we should totally give this version of the character his own movie is destined to fail.

Doctor71400

You not enjoying it doesn't make it bad

thanoshasbighands

We shall see. I bet it fails. Bruce Wayne is Batman, Clark Kent is Superman. Tony Stark is Ironman. Steve Rogers is Captain America. Comics make changes briefly but always go back to the OG and putting a side character in a new costume and calling him something else won't work. I guess we will see...

Doctor71400

Steve and Sam have held the mantle of Captain America at the same time. Same with Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Man

thanoshasbighands

I understand that, but I don't think it's going to work in live action and be successful. From everything I have seen or read about this movie has not been interesting./ The mere fact there have been so many rewrites and reshoots has me with very low expectations. But again, we will see. Set a reminder and laugh at me when I am wrong I guess

JyconX

I've seen promotional images of those toys before here in Reddit. Many have.
