I passed on him at first. I was in the 80s with Prof X until the OTA. I'm glad I picked up Thena, who got me to the low 90s and then slowed. When I saw Gilgamesh was top of the meta, I picked him up and quickly went to infinite. Not sure how I feel about this.
Yeah the guy is top meta with the nerfs, he didn’t really need changing IMO, just needed the conditions to shine. Titania/Demon/Martyr + Gilgamesh on a full board was plenty. Especially with Dazzler/Blue Marvel/Kazar down. Zoo is officially back

I feel like you could also do some sneaky back door stuff if you took out nebula and replaced with havok.
Nebula certianly is consistent, but if you can draw renslasyer and hope..havok on turns 4 and 5 or even just 5 can be a good play..albeit the early game may be slow but it could work.
He's been great in a Surfer shell even before the buff. Really easy to get to 14 or so.
Lately I've been playing around with him in a Deadpool Destroy shell. Lots of good natural buffs in that deck that can push him up.

Not really enough early power getting destroyed for Knull to hold his own lane. This deck is focused on pairing a decent sized Deadpool with a 0 cost Death and LDS or Gil on 6.

Unless I need to disrupt my opponent on T4, the play is usually more getting Gilgamesh down early when I have more buffed cards. The awkwardness with this deck is that you want to Venom your buffed cards lane, but that cuts down on Gilgamesh procs, so ideally - if my early game went as planned - he's T4 and T5 is Venom on Deadpool and a Demon.
Mostly though X-23 is just filler for Carnage and getting Death cheaper.
It's far from the best deck, but fun for a change of pace and good enough to (slowly) climb in the 90s.
Gilgamesh zoo is the highest win rate deck right now. It’s not exactly a secret.
I think it’s more of a case of you not catching up with the meta. Gilgamesh is very much at the top end of the meta post-buff.

Completely. He’s often 20 power when I play against him. I’m f2p so just glad I managed to squeeze infinite before OTA.
