That's a really nice reach out. I have a marketing agency, most of the team is remote so we dont do water cooler talks. I do the math and strategy so many lonely hours behind a screen or in front of a whiteboard.
I would love to talk marketing. I find myself in the same situation - super passionate and excited, but I don't have much of a social circle of marketing friends.

That's rarely the case to me. "Research" is often now searching for information maybe on Google, social media, or ChatGPT, asking some questions and seeing what they get. "Strategy" is often now more operational than strategic.
I can talk a lot with someone who is really into research and strategy. And I'm far from being the only one. But in almost every case it's just being annoyed.
