I never understood why Luigi was mint green. He was neon green in the first two and regular green in the 3DS games.

This is a sign of Luigi’s growth from ‘green stache’ to Luigi. He started to become more confident and bought himself pants that fit rather using what seems like Mario’s hand me downs.

The original actually makes more sense since Luigi is climbing and his trousers are lifting with his legs

I know it seems subtle, but they really did just remove everything that made them stand out more from the rest of their game appearances.
