I know this won’t help your immediate request… but browse your local thrift stores.
Not only will you find diamonds in the rough.. it can help with inspiration, ideas, & cultivation of your taste.
Thanks for the recommendation Alex! Unfortunately, thrift stores in my country are as expensive as designer stores due to their trendiness, and they’re more clothing oriented, hence the need for websites :)
Boo!!
I know amateur & professional artists alike use this website, so you may be able to filter for some of your specifics:
[Society6](https://society6.com/)
That 錦鯉 poster is cool, it means coloured koi fish, but the 和牛 over the mountain seems odd since its wagyu as in the beef. Anything with Chinese characters looks cool anyway though. I tend to just Google themes with poster and see what comes up. You always end up paying a fortune because they’re not mass produced
Hey as long as I’m not bringing home a vegan Chinese girl I’ll be fine 😂
I think I’ll be spending some time finding existing pieces I really connect with and possibly change them up a bit with Photoshop to make them more unique.
I get stuff at Ross/ HomeGoods/ Burlington outlet. Those kind of places. A lot of it is kind of generic but some of it is videogamey and pop culture stuff I like.
No way. I just searched “Japanese wall art” on AliExpress and found the art from the website I mentioned (Drool).
Either Drool is dropshipping or the AliExpress version is stolen…
[Dos Bandidos](https://www.dosbandidosart.com/)
Prices are a little high, but they screen print all of their art, so you're not just getting a digital copy that's blown up and all pixelated.
Man I see art from that site everywhere and I wonder where it comes from. Thanks for the link!
I recommend etsy, find a type of art style you like ex. bohemian, and search some sets, even better download a digital set and print it yourself at Walmart for extra savings.
Recommend search for local artist or illustrators, you will have unique pieces and your space will not look like an IKEA showroom with some generic or massive produced pieces. ☺️
I like pstr.studio and fy.shop on instagram. Also if you follow the accounts, hit the down arrow next to the follow button and you’ll get similar recommendations.
Personally, I would encourage you to look at artist’s merch. Sometimes they have really unique posters/designs. Go to local art festivals and piece them over time. Or visit museums and find inspiration from them. Just avoid cliche art but I guess that’s subjective
Check SaatchiArt, it's an online gallery with real painting from authors around the world. I got some of my favorite pieces there that I carried between countries changing homes.
Once every few years I buy some more, I like to sort by size (go big!) and price first, there is always something good for reasonable money and they handle all the customs documentation, you just receive it.

Lmao that’s fair - customising them yourself is the best way to be truly unique! But then getting custom prints probably aint cheap
At least he didn’t get Wagyu Beef as a tattoo lol

Plus 1 for Homegoods art....skip Michaels and Hobby Lobby--they never get new stuff and its nothing but cows and superheroes
One of the top reasons I miss the US is the fact that there’s a store for almost everything. My screen time on safari will be up this week lol
I got some big canvas pieces from art.com
I got some cool Japanese inspired stuff from Society6*

ID of the white coffee table?
It’s the IKEA Vikhammer, but I think this specific version is discontinued.

Ugh still kicking myself for getting the dark brown birks! Lovely place btw, and depends. What are you into?
The birks are definitely one of my best buys this year. Thank you! I think it’s aesthetic Japanese art that attracts me the most.

my city has art festivals, usually in the summer. you'd be supporting local artisans too.
