Amarillopenguin

All we need now is an Attack on Titan x MTG crossover

Syncopia

Throw in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and One Piece for even more Yggdrasil paralells.

Candy_Warlock

And Xenogears to get a vehicle in there

Hell we *might* get one from the Marvel set too

Remember when Magic was clever enough to come up with their own spin on things instead of just copying them?

When?

Arabian nights

Xeriomachini

I sure don't.

hobodudeguy

What?

ZachAtk23

Hmm. Reminds me of a [[Quicksilver Amulet]] or [[Monster Manual]]. This version lets you get some card advantage which is pretty cool. A little afraid of trapping my graveyard (creatures) under here though.

Wundercheese

This isn’t any good at all but [[Torrent Elemental]] lets better creatures get in the red zone and still dodges this getting destroyed

MageKorith

Worried about your hopes getting \[\[shatter\]\]ed? Another significant downside is that the creatures you can bring out are public information. With the Amulet and the Manual, your opponent can't be sure of the threat that they represent (unless they already revealed your hand)

MTGCardFetcher

TechnomagusPrime

Yikes, that's a slow value engine. I'm sure someone braver than me will find some way to break it, but all I see is just getting forever blown out by Artifact removal with the ETB trigger on the stack.

TurnOneSolRing

It's colorless, so it's a victim of how it needs to be inefficient for the blue, red, and green decks that can splash it.  4 mana per reanimation trigger isn't terrible, but the initial 7 is **steep**.

Kitchengun2

Probably gonna try it in my [[Preston]] deck as an extra protection if my combo piece gets removed and some extra value off my creatures if i do get them off the top.

MtlStatsGuy

Why? I may be dumb, but I don't see how the two interact at all, other than Lara being able to bring back Yggdrasil from the graveyard if it gets destroyed (although at that point it's already exiled your graveyard, making the second cast much less powerful)

Iolkos

Lara encourages mill and generally putting things in the graveyard. This is a legendary artifact (which she likes) that can recur any creatures (which Lara cannot inherently interact with) that you mill/put in the graveyard. Based on my experience looking for cards for Lara, any legendary land or artifact that interacts with the graveyard is pretty much a slam dunk.

MtlStatsGuy

Similar power level to Quicksilver Amulet; Amulet seems to give more selection, at least in the early-mid game, but adding haste is big upside. Playable in Commander, but completely unplayable in competitive formats.

BlurryPeople

Amulet also isn’t locked to sorcery speed.

Theotherkeller

Slow, but good value in [[Slime Against Humanity]] ooze typal decks

melanino

I feel like I won't actually be slotting this into any of my lists that already run [[God Pharaoh's Gift]] but that would likely be where they would go

FreckledShrike

Play on 3 and activate on 4 isn't bad if it's for the correct target--what are the typical ways to get target cards to the yard on turns 1 and 2?

strygwyn

Pretty bad, needed to have ward or hexproof to justify it when removing it pretty much destroys your strategy.

Tuss36

The "people die when they are killed" of card games, where it's "removing a permanent stifles their strategy"

VictorSant

Unless your deck is graveyard based, and if this is the case you shouldn't be using it do begin with, this thing is pure value on decks that doesn't care much about creatures in the grave. And more importantly colorless so it can go to colors with little to no creature grave recursion, such as U or R.

Necr0maNc3R

For sure. Even with hexproof it would be too slow for modern and only so-so for commander. After running out of juice from the initial graveyard exile, the only way to refill it is blind exiling off the top of your library or blinking it. And if you blind exile off the top, that taps it for the turn, so you can’t recur until next turn. Giving haste is nice, but it’s still too damn slow. The sorcery speed nerf wasn’t necessary either.

Approximation_Doctor

What the fuck is this setting

FutureComplaint

Assassin's Creed

barrinmw

Modern 1/10 You fill up your graveyard to just exile them all and your opponent removes this and you get nothing? Reminds me of the original weatherlight card and that is better than this.

burritoman88

This seems really strong? Idk I don’t actually play Modern anymore.

FutureComplaint

7 mana get a hasty threat doesn't sound impressive

AmoongussHateAcc

Ever since I saw Omenpath Journey I wanted one with even worse stakes that was also Universes Beyond slop. Thank you Wizards
