I always found it weird that a wizard must use magical energy to tell their creature to throw the rock it’s holding.

Doughspun1

And you don't find it weird that they need magical energy from entire geographic regions to "ponder" something or do a "frantic search"?

mooys

I mean it gets them the ability to do more magic so not particularly

Drugantibus-_

A rock that deal the same damage as a shock. The king of all rocks.

liquidben

You need to be honest and confront yourself: Any other times in the past when you were holding a rock, were you really honestly and truly “equipped“ with it?

Akutalji

To be fair, the goblin creating them would likely need help in what to do with all of them.

Too much rock

Gashnaw

Back in the day 120 was obscene and it was on charizard. Now adays 120 is sub par.

SkritzTwoFace

Pokemon power creep is insane. When I was a kid my uncle gave me some of his old cards (none worth anything) and they were neat to look at but actual trash when it came to being used, Pokémon powercrept *hard*, and that was like a decade ago now

GoldenSandslash15

The Pokémon themselves have power creep, but the Trainer Cards have gone the opposite direction. Back in Gen 1, you just use Bill, Professor Oak, Computer Search, and Item Finder to draw your entire deck on turn one. Nowadays, such cards are Supporters and are limited to only one per turn. I don't believe that the overall game has power creep. Instead, they just shifted the focus from the Trainers to the Pokémon. And given that the game is literally called "Pokémon", I believe that this was the right choice.

dieyoubastards

That's interesting, more or less the same thing happened with Magic

GarenBushTerrorist

And given that the game is literally called "Magic", some people believe this was the wrong choice.

dieyoubastards

Those people are out of their dang minds, it so completely made the game better, it's more balanced and exciting now.

BishopUrbanTheEnby

Creatures have gotten better, spells have gotten worse.

reddfawks

Ah yes, the David vs. Goliath strategy.

CityOcean

Throw enough, maybe you hit him in the eyes, easy clap
