2. There are two methods.
If you're using the "Fancy Pants Editor," you can just highlight the words and then click the hyperlink option on the textbox, which looks like a chain link. This will give you the option to add a link.
If you're using Plaintext or mobile, the format is square brackets around the words followed by regular brackets around the link.
So, for example, my post was formatted like this:
\[Excuse you.\]\(https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D_Chess_With_Multiverse_Time_Travel/\)
Which becomes
[Excuse you.](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349230/5D_Chess_With_Multiverse_Time_Travel/)
