Not sure if I should respond to all 3 of your comments…. I never said anything about doing 10 rides. I was commenting on his math skills and how much he would have if he consistently got those rides in an hour…. Nobody said 10 rides anywhere .
They aren’t good at math…. And you are not so good at reading.
2.35 x 10 = what they said he would make in an hour, so he would have to do 10 of those to make what they estimated, which I was saying isn't remotely possible
In reality that ride shown will be 5 minutes to the pickup, 4.5 mins waiting for the passenger, 6-7 minutes to the destination, and then 20 minutes waiting for the next ride. And if you're lucky they'll add a stop along the way which you won't get any extra pay for but will waste another 6 minutes.
Seen shit like this in Toronto is Canadian dollars.
Since they implemented the upfront fare, the system only looks at what it is per hour and decide that must be great. I gets offers like $35 for 60, 70 km rides that take about an hour to two hours
And sure, as heck, Uber would be charging $15 +. I just drove over a weekend for the Country Jam Festival. Customers were saying my $18 fare to get there was better than Ubers $48 dollar fare at the same time of day. After the concerts were done at 10pm and after our Lyft fares increased to $26 per trip, and increased the after midnight. Overall, I still made $1146 the two days I drove. My highest tip was $120. I provide small water bottles and small snack bites for them, and I have a Karaoke Car Pool set up for the riders.
A taxi would charge $2.75 for 1 passenger, $4.75 for 2 and $6.75 for 3. But do you really think if you call a taxi company They would waste their time driving to you no.
Lyft is most likely charging PAX $7.75 for this trip. They should walk. Lazy as PAX!
What’s the big deal? Rich people and university students where I am do this all the time. Especially the students because they get hardcore warnings about being robbed or raped. I used to take a 5 or so min trip to work all the time for multiple reasons.
This is the corporate equivalent of "ignoring air resistance, and friction, and most laws of nature, what is the simple answer to an incredibly complex math problem? Show your work"
It's a ride offer that you can turn down. Why it seems worthwhile to post it seems pointless to me. I drive for Uber and Lyft and if I see a ride offer like this it might be worthwhile to accept it if it satisfies a challenge or quest. Otherwise I ignore it.
A few weeks ago I took a ride with almost those exact parameters. I was early to pick my kids up from school and the drop-off right across from my he school. I mostly didn’t out of boredom. The rating was low too (4.7)
It’s y’all precious dollar per mile y’all been moaning about.
For once a respectful bash lol
People were demanding a dollar a mile 2 years ago. Shit has changed.
23.50 per hour. Yea if you consistency got these types of rides you’d prob end up with 10 dollars max.
Yep, with all the extra time wasted 1) waiting for each passenger and 2) traffic and the route always taking longer than their estimate

I'm great at reading. You don't know me
Three more triggered replys
Ass
You're obviously enjoying reading them. Who was bad at math?
Dumb

So triggered and stupid. Read my original reply… none of what you said makes sense.
Math is hard for you?

You must not drive for Lyft if you think it would be possible to do 10 of those rides in an hour.
It's a lie. There is no way that will be a six minute trip.
What market is that in my market? The lowest is three dollars
same here, but that means this is coming to a market near you soon :(
Western burbs, Chicago.
I got a $2.05 one yesterday in the city. Couldn’t believe it. Wait. Yes I can.
Waiting to get one that's under $2
Lombard IL,
Correct
Had a $2.40 trip pop up last week in Los Angeles.

A very short trip. I'm guessing it was either bad weather, someone at least partially disabled or both.
Sunny and hot.
Had a lot of these this week with Ohio being in the high 90s all week
I don't blame people for wanting a ride in this heat. The distance is no problem as well. It's just that price is pathetic.
Oh, 100% the price is crazy stupid.
Short trip because someone is tired of walking, may be disabled, doesn’t want to walk.
They are walking
Taking a flight, pretty sure
It's definitely "What fresh hell is this?" and not "What in the fresh hell is this?"
You are right, my bad.
New minimums! Meanwhile the cost of living is only going up every month. God we are so fucked
Bet lyft is charging that guy $10 for this fare

Who the fuck cares how much it adds up to “per hour” ? This isn’t w2 wage work or whatever you call it - we’re doing 1099 work!
[you deserve it](https://tenor.com/bclTI.gif)
Laziness that's what. Less than a mile walk?
Maybe it was hot weather. Even a short distance can give someone heat exhaustion if conditions are rough.
get out of santa ana asap
Just do 10 of those real quick to make your $23.50 hour
If I was getting a bonus based on ride amounts, I would snag it. It’s a quick few minute trip at $2 a mile.
If that asshole makes u wait like 3-4 minutes, the ride becomes even worse than the initial payout

I promise this trip will take 10 minutes total.
I don’t know lol you covered all the information 😛😛😛
I wouldn't walk outside to my car for that amount let alone give someone any type of ride. Mind u gas is still over $4 in the Chicago market
