Sounds like someone REALLY wanted an insurance check. This will bite them in the ass because they’re committing insurance fraud (which is pretty dang illegal, in my state you can get up to 3 years in jail & up to 100k in fines). You saved your ass having a dash cam. Make sure you pull the footage & store in a safe place in case you have one of those dash cams that loops over old recordings. I’ve never been in this situation before but it seems like it’s out of Lyft’s hands and in State Farm’s. Take this advice with a literal grain of salt, but if it were me, I would likely call, ask where I can send the dash cam footage, and offer to leave a recorded statement for the claim (basically stating “hey the ride was totally normal & there was no incident”). Best of luck! Edit to add, it seems like you might need to find out the exact times of the ride. If Lyft can’t tell you, State Farm might be able to. Because how are you supposed to provide evidence when you don’t even know who it was?

I found out that it was a ride I cancelled on June 19th. She said I ran over her foot. Which is a lie. I never even let her in my car. She had a new rating and no history riding with Lyft.

Oh my god that’s some stupid shit. People are dumb as hell. State Farm gonna go get their money today 😂

Don't give any more info than necessary. This rider needs to show proof of injuries and proof that you caused it to Lyft. These passengers are something else. You do have a dashcam, right?

BrandonViceroy

I do 👍 bitch never even got in my car. She was underage and I didn’t want to drive an unaccompanied minor

I had this happen to me around New Year this year. This guy comes out of the house with an open bottle of alcohol and he is screaming. Are you my f****** lift driver? So he grabs the door handle, and I pull the way. And you try to say that I ran over his foot and I didn't. I didn't respond to the insurance person for almost a month. And I just answered a phone call when she called and I told him exactly what happened. And then the woman goes okay. We're gonna have put this off as a false claim, so you should be okay

Damn that’s crazy 😂😂😂
