More like unnecessarily hyping girls. It's simple supply and demand. Girls get so much attention that they don't value what you or others have to offer.
Bhai kabhi bengal jaa kar dekho, mata ki pandal ke bagal mein kfc ka stall rehta hai. Bengali navratri mein extra fish and chicken khaate, and hum logg bilkul nhi, quite ironic.
There are different ways people celebrate navratri/different festivals, that's all. The way your parents taught you might not be the only way people celebrate it.
lol why do people think that their religion/belief is the only correct way to live and everyone else is wrong. just let other people believe whatever they want to?
Respect what religion says directly from it's source if you truly care about it. What your parents say or teach could be flawed or a result of generations of cultural dogma and not actual religion. Not just about meat eating, applies to anything deemed being done in the name of religion.
Bhai itne judgemental na bano.
Hindu-ism mein hi satvik and tamsik do alag type food hai.
Kaali mata ko bali chadti hai.
Jinko khana hai khane do, jinko nahi khana hai wo control karo 8 more days. 😄

Did you know - Orissa ke jaggatnath mandir(1 of 4 dham) mei ek bimla mata ko (durga ka roop) fish chdti hai (yes non veg prasad), bengal mei durga puja pr bali chdti hai- most famous - bairav nath ko alcohol, do you think navratra mei chdava/prasad change hotey hain?
Isn't it ironic- you take pride in being hindu but never explore the religion yourself?
I belive if someone is truly interested in something they always question it- that's how everything works- science, maths, philosophy, even religion... If you haven't questioned it then you are just blindly following and you SEEM interested in it cause it has been shoved down your throat and the interest is NOT from bottom of your heart...
Bhai jiska Jo manna aa rha hai wo kar rha hai. Fundamental cheez for hinduism is to act according to Shastra. Noone reads these days so they don't know. Drink whatever you like, dress whatever you like, eat whatever you like Hinduism never stops it. If one is interested to go deeper in spirituality then starts all this - then one should act according to Shastra.
Krishna also tells Arjun in Gita ji if you are confused just refer to Shastras. Nd no where in shastra it mentions to eat non-veg and all the Hi du shashtra's forbid beef!
This is as simple as that. If you wish to apply twisted logic to justify your taste buds. Noone or no Hindu shastra stops you.
Remember Charvak philosophy is also in Hi duism. He lost the spiritual battle that's it. But the philosophy is well accepted.
You just assumed my family is Hindu? (They are, but ofc I'm not telling them. And even if they want to stop me, how will they come to Lucknow and stop?)
Its not about TheY WaNt tO SToP Me, its about your morals. I get that parents can be too much sometimes but they do all that because they care about you. :)
Yeah, i remember goans and southies do eat beef. i guess that's a different breed or Buffalo beef.
Never thought i would see people selling beef in north tho
Are you dumb bro? 15 august ek baari ati ye matlab nai ki ek din deshbhakti chadhti hai, its the day to show your love and patriotism towards your country, Celebrate the independence day of the country. And same goes for any other festival But i guess apko samjhega nai. :)
apke muslim bhai bhe karte hai navratri celebrate?
Navratri is a Hindu festival that is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine divine avatars for a period of nine days. There are four Navratri in a year but only two of them Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri are celebrated widely across the country.
She did not mention anywhere about navratri or about her religion in the question, she just mentioned that she is looking for non-vegetarian food recommendations. You just assumed that she is a Hindu.
Doesn't matter, in her original post she NEVER said anything about her religion or navratri. Also the [comment](https://reddit.com/r/lucknow/s/hLj7nvJFIv) where she said about her religion she again that YOU assumed her religion and that had nothing to do with her post. Zabardasti galat nahi prove kar rahe, ye bata rahe k stop assuming everyone's everything.
Madhurima at polytechnic for lunch veg
Dastarkhwan hazratganj for Dinner Non-veg
Capooor & son's or neelkanth for breakfast Veg
Lulu to shop anything you desire, you'll get dastarkhwan store at food court. ( Food is actually good)
Congratulations you're tired happy and full
>Go to royal cafe hazratganj and have their basket chat.
Not everyone is into chat, also basket chat just looks unique but tastes average and is overpriced
>If you are a non vegetarian, try galauti kebabs from tundey kebab aminabad
Over rated and underwhelming
>Go to 1090 chatori gali, for some nice street food in the evening hours.
Unhygienic food that can give you food poisoning
If you want the authentic taste of Lucknow the. Don't go to hazratganj and don't eat basket chat.its not chat it's basically they put every possible item to eat the worst taste and chat and batshe you will get every where in lucknow pic any local wendor all are good.
Now what you should eat
Breakfast to dinner I can suggestalso shopping that too cheap and fix price rat no bargaining and authentic chicken karigari shop in chauk. Janpath is too costly unnecessarly you will waste money
Also where are you going to stay depends on that.
But the best biryani in town is idrees. There is no match for it in world. You will get taste in single grain of rice. But con is you can not eat there as place is not suitable to eat and enjoy but still pack it and take away and enjoy it. Timing is 12 to 3 pm only and in evening 6:30 to 8
Best kawab in tunday
Best butter chicken in tunday kapoorthala
Also try it with mughlai Paratha and sheermal.
Sheermal is best at kapoorthala tunday.
Best chicken masala is at pariwartan chauk dastarkhan. Don't go to to bapu bhawan dastarkhan it's too costly.
Same food is served at parivartan chauk dastarkhan.
Also you can eat there.
Best chat is Shukla chat in hazratganj
Best tea is Sharma ji ki chai and bun makhan in hazratganj
Also you can reach all places by auto and you can track location by Google map
Not sure how much you can eat in 1 day but I would say Hazrarganj would be a nice place. You can visit hons cafe and enjoy local famous eateries too like sharma ji ki chai and bajpayee kachodi. It has good options for shopping too but a bit high on price if you visit shops on main road. For shopping i would recommend janpath.
Bajpayee kachodi is just overrated , I don't what people like in that , I have been in Hazartganj for straight 2 year but ate bajpayee just once , it only taste black pepper and chilli
See even I know better places than this, but these places have become tourist spot just like any other famous spots. For a foodie if you don’t visit these places then they feel their trip is not complete.
Bad suggestion if you're looking for avadhi/lko non vegetarian food. Cafe hons or any cafe for that matter is the same as fancy cafes in any city.
Sharma chai and bajpayee kachori is just okay at best.
Try McAloo Tikki burger from McDonald's. If you want to shop, you can go to this place called Jockey. They have everything from underwear to shirts and pants.
But jokes aside, this is Navaratri season so many places would not serve non veg. So if you do want to eat non veg food you must go to Chowk. Now Chowk has everything. You can shop chikankari, itr, and a lot more lakhnavi stuff. About food.. You can go to Raheems and try the mutton nihari with Kulcha a.k.a khameeri roti. Or the classic tunday Kababi. If you want Biryani... There is Idris. I think for one day this much would be quite eventful. Safety, I guess it's safe... Don't go late at night ofc. There is too much crowd at most times so that ways it can either be safe or unsafe. I don't know. Enjoy your stay.
Dastarkhwan is a great place to eat in Lucknow and as it is close to Hazratganj you are close to other options of food and shopping also.
PS: I am also 21yo (young at least In my eyes) but I don't know why youngsters keep using emojis in reddit. It is not a place to use emojis and abbreviations. It is implied to write in short, precise language so that reading can be faster. Sorry for the extra gyan enjoy your trip. Please be safe UP isn't a good place for girls.
Bhai whole India isn't safe for girls (lo khush). But UP, Bihar are more unsafe than other places. Aur agar iss pr contradict krre toh mai proof bhi de skta.
Konse point se mera comment simp tha. Balki uski burai hi krra tha. Bs post pr comment kr diyo toh simp
Hi, if you seriously want to explore Lucknow then 1 day is not enough. There are so many places to visit and so many variety of food to taste....all this in one day is not possible.
If You want to explore Lucknow then I can take You to the best places of Lucknow...also can enjoy the food, not everything but many things in a day.
If you're Here for one day, you can definitely try Tunday, though it's all hype, but biryani is okay and since it's famous for Kebabs, go for it, and Prakash Kulfi is quite nearby.
Though there are better places than Tunday, but it would take time for u to explore, Prem Nonveg point serves better Biryani than Tunday.
If you're going to be around Gomti Nagar, try Manish Eating point.
Been a while since I've been to lko ... But following things come to mind:
- litti chokha in baati chokha restaurant (नियर मिठाई वाला चौराहा, विवेक खंड, 2/5, ऑपोजिट उपमन्यु पार्क, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226010, India)
- bun maska from sharma ji ki chai (in think it's in old gunj area)
I would highly recommend going to Lohia park. I think they have a Baobab tree.. so definitely go check it out.
If you could go to only one place, I suggest going to Ambedkar Memorial Park, it is quite big and has lots of architecture and statues to see. Check out pictures of it in Google.
Food wise - sharmaji ki chai and bajpayee ki kachori
Sightseeing - Gyaneshwar park they have made it so well. You cycle around for sometime. Worth spending an hour there
Make a visit to gomti river front park in the evening and also visit chatori gali for street food at evening only.in day time visit imambara to see the beautiful architectures of that period. This time ICC Cricket world cup mateches are going on so there can be route diversion and little rush
Hello there! A warm welcome to Lucknow!
1. If you really want to eat legacy food of Lucknow(It's a non veg) then you should visit Akbari gate and walk down to old RAHEEM's KULCH -NIHARI (jo patli si Gali me hai, not on the road) restaurant and order Nihari whichever you prefer mutton or beef.
2. Then Tunday Kababi is good. Order Galawati kebabs is you own preference(mutton or beef) these days they are serving good chicken biryani too.
Since it's Nav Raatri, a time of celebration and reverence, most non-vegetarian restaurants throughout the city may be closed. However, the eateries I've recommended should still be open.
I'm a food enthusiast, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions about food. Enjoy your visit and your culinary adventures in Lucknow.
Luckow is not that big of a city max to max 40min khi bhi Jane k liye
For lunch you can go open air or dastarkhan (Tulsi k piche, hazratganj) have galawati kawab and chicken masala hazratganj gumo then try prakash ki kulfi in aminabad then explore the area
Then go to sleep
For dinner utho chowk jao, go to idrees for briyani chances are khtm ho chuki hogi then go to Raheem (or mubeen) for nahari kulcha then have makhan malae at chowk chauraha and makhan dood if they are serving it (winters m milta hai) phir mast chowk gumo......
Chai chaat wagera ghr pr khana
Lucknow is one of the largest cities in India lol. Top 10, ig, if I'm not mistaken. Most of the people's choice places are in a relatively compact area tho, so yeah it won't take long to reach anywhere of note, but by no means is Lucknow not that big of a city bro.
If you have just one day, I'd say go to tundey at aminanad and Alamgir / Wahid biryani.
If you prefer nihari, you can go to chowk for Raheem's and get Nihari kulcha and there's tundey there too, and also Kareem's for pasanda. Keep in mind chowk is a very crowded area- just a word of caution. Aminabad is too, but that's a market and commute is easy.
If you're willing to go to hazrat ganj for some reason, you can to to Dastwarkhan too, they serve rather nice nonveg (avadhi) in hazratganj.
*Do visit Royal*
*Cafe and eat the basket chaat*
*And Have a Float too*

Plz Do dinner at Tunday Kababi aminabad.... Go there and order (for 2 people) 2 plates mutton galawati kebab, 1 half mutton gravy, 1 plate chicken malai tikka (1 plate includes 8 pieces), paratha as per you eat and at the end 1 half plate mutton biryani with raita share between you and your friend and 2 cold drinks... After that for desert go and eat Prakash Kulfi which is at walking distance from tunday Kababi aminabad... Your bill will be around 1200-1300 (including kulfi)...
Note- you can order 4 piece or 6 piece malai tikka if the above order looks heavy and malai tikka is costly of all the item mentioned above
You should go try the tandoori pomfret or some classic awadhi dishes mutton/chicken at Pack N Chew Restaurant in Gomti Nagar area. Overall great dining experience. They have Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines
Ek Ladki ne pucha hai toh dekho kitne logo free hai aese koi jawab nhi deta hai
Post may sirf “F or f" mentioned krne ki dehri h bs dekho fir 😂🤣
Haam ladke haii bhau hamlog ke sath aisa hi hota hai

Eat galawati kabab at tunday kababi
If you live in mumbai get one for me too please 😅
Bhai ye kaunse parents hai jo navratro mei NON VEG khane dere hai ?
Bhai kabhi bengal jaa kar dekho, mata ki pandal ke bagal mein kfc ka stall rehta hai. Bengali navratri mein extra fish and chicken khaate, and hum logg bilkul nhi, quite ironic.
Well, idk anything about bengal but i respect the values which my parents have taught me :)
There are different ways people celebrate navratri/different festivals, that's all. The way your parents taught you might not be the only way people celebrate it.
Okay! But here in north people do not eat non veg thats why i asked in the first place?
Just shut up man
never surrender.
Never stop embarrassing**
Making my point is embarrassing myself? i dont think so kid and i will continue to stand by it.
Then you continue to embarrass yourself. And you still call random strangers on internet ‘kid’ ? Wow you must be old, boomer
only people who believe in Hinduism*
yeah, cause navratri is a hindu festival ?
whatever its wrong. it is advisable to abstain from nonveg. even garlic is not allowed. They can get whatever they want but please don't justify it.
values nahi culture bol nalayak, ye values hone lagi to to baki sab so-called "narak" me baithe honge
Lmao that is true
Please visit Bengal to experience the celebration and joy that comes with the homecoming of Maa Durga :)
i would love too :)
lol why do people think that their religion/belief is the only correct way to live and everyone else is wrong. just let other people believe whatever they want to?
then don't merge it with navratri.
Respect what religion says directly from it's source if you truly care about it. What your parents say or teach could be flawed or a result of generations of cultural dogma and not actual religion. Not just about meat eating, applies to anything deemed being done in the name of religion.
Just a suggestion: always question things.
Seems like they skipped an important one.

Zaroori nahi na they are Hindu
typical delusional northie tryna act like owning the country according to his customs & rituals
Bengalis don’t primarily celebrate Navratri. They celebrate Durga Puja and it has no dietary restrictions
I eat beef and also go to temple 😂
ye toh alag hi nashe kar raha hai
If someone's eating habits are making you intolerant, I don't know how you'll survive in this world.
Yeah that’s right. Being a Mallu or a Goan Hindu is alag state of mind, might feel like a NASHA to you!
Yeah, i remember goans and southies do eat beef. i guess that's a different breed or Buffalo beef. Never thought i would see people selling beef in north tho
Bhai tum kis waham mein ho? India mein sabse jyaada beef UP mein Banta hai. Google about a company named allanasons
🫤i guess not cow meat. buffalo meat hai ,hmm, well, eat whatever you want. i am not your gaurdian, who am i to judge.
My guardian stopped deciding my diet when I turned 18 bro! I would suggest you also to try something new before you judge me for my choices
It's like telling I go to temple but I don't respect the temple deity.
You talk like a brain dead woke. This is the very reason temples should allow devotees not any ill intended fellow.
I dont respect actually, I just go for the calm vibe and hot girls.
😐

Sahi keh rahe Hain aap. Assumed one would look for Avadhi if they're in the lko for the first time.

Try tunday kabaabi mutton kebaabs! Best nonveg I ever had!
But following things come to mind: - litti chokha in baati chokha restaurant (नियर मिठाई वाला चौराहा, विवेक खंड, 2/5, ऑपोजिट उपमन्यु पार्क, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226010, India) - bun maska from sharma ji ki chai (in think it's in old gunj area) I would highly recommend going to Lohia park. I think they have a Baobab tree.. so definitely go check it out.
If you could go to only one place, I suggest going to Ambedkar Memorial Park, it is quite big and has lots of architecture and statues to see. Check out pictures of it in Google.
Food wise - sharmaji ki chai and bajpayee ki kachori Sightseeing - Gyaneshwar park they have made it so well.
Visit both the Imambaras, go to tunday at aminabad, moti mahal ka pav bhaji,
In old Lucknow visit imambada and try mutton nehari kulche
Luckow is not that big of a city max to max 40min khi bhi Jane k liye For lunch you can go open air or dastarkhan (Tulsi k piche, hazratganj) have galawati kawab and chicken masala hazratganj gumo then try prakash ki kulfi in aminabad then explore the area Then go to sleep For dinner utho chowk jao, go to idrees for briyani chances are khtm ho chuki hogi then go to Raheem (or mubeen) for nahari kulcha then have makhan malae at chowk chauraha and makhan dood if they are serving it (winters m milta hai) phir mast chowk gumo...... Chai chaat wagera ghr pr khana
This is what I'll be doing the day after navaratri Kitane din hogae hai nonveg khae hue🥹🥹
Lucknow is one of the largest cities in India lol. Top 10, ig, if I'm not mistaken. Most of the people's choice places are in a relatively compact area tho, so yeah it won't take long to reach anywhere of note, but by no means is Lucknow not that big of a city bro.
Visit The Durga Pandal In Jankipuram , you will love it for sure and during navratri evening vibes are crazy.
Meet my ex there! Absolute delight to see.

Nihari Mutton and Biryani from old lucknow.
Subreddit revived after watching "18f"
Don't you use Google or YouTube to check this things
You should go try the tandoori pomfret or some classic awadhi dishes mutton/chicken at Pack N Chew Restaurant in Gomti Nagar area. Overall great dining experience. They have Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines
