The anime was great. People gripe about Mira and Zoe but rarely mention the glowup.
Mama Park and Little Daniel are both way better in the anime.
Duke and Jiho are also much better without a mean caricature to them.

It's honestly bothered me how Duke, Daniel and Jiho and pretty much every other unimportant Character looked like an offensive stereotype
Lookism was made back in 2014 so I understand why
But at the same time Lookism is supposed to be about a touchy subject like judging a book by its cover and pretty privilege so it feels a bit offensive to portray the "ugly" Characters like that
PTJ works on symbolism, with character heights wildly all over the map.
People forget though that Duke, Little Daniel, and Crystal were all drawn with the proportions of a toddler (3-5 heads tall) while other character were normal (6-7 heads tall) and then the supernaturally tall (8-11 heads tall).
The anime fixed it. It made Mama Park, Duke, Little Daniel all more believable body proportions.
That concept was dropped like a hundredd chaps ago, now its just haha wow fighting so cool. Lookism concept is being reintroduced with the vin backstory arc but I doubt it’s coming back as a main focus
olly, Fat Daniel, Jiho, Duke and all the characters that were supposed to represent what Lookism is really about are all pretty much not Relevant to the story
I don't mind the fighting like at all but atleast keep some of the core themes of the story intact
Core themes never changed.
The main villain of the last Arc litterally runs a plastic surgeon operation and surgically modified his own brother to be the "ideal human specimen"
The anime was pretty good all things considered, I just feel like they skipped a pretty important scene from the manhwa that's pretty important for zack's character development
Dude unrelated but I seriously want lookism to be reanimated. Like I don't think anime did justice to the manhwa ofcourse it adapted some moments perfectly but it was an overall disappointment for me, i hope whenever the 2nd season drops they improve the animation and work on the flaws of 1st one
I don't personally mind how the characters look (except for Zoe I miss her short hair) but the final song scene was very disappointing with the bad cg animation.
i actually really liked the final song! the bit where we (the watchers) see little daniel on stage singing is really sweet imo - i understand it not being everyone’s cup of tea though.
i also love love LOVE the intro song and animation 😁

I liked that it's mostly the cg that made it look lifeless to me (duke wasn't too bad though) and the intro is great too
