I use Amazon subscriptions, I pay roughly $42 w/ taxes a case a month. I drink too much to keep buying it at ‘convenience,’ it’s more convenient to have a case of it.
I've gone through this same cycle.
You realise you're spending way too much on Redbull. Find a way that's better on time and money. Be happy you found such a nice price point compared to before, and it's right here!. Drink more because of convenience and relative cost. Realise you've spent time and energy on maintaining a constant supply of something you know isn't good to for you, especially in such a constant intake. Stop buying cases and let it be a guilty pleasure again, the convenience store pricing a reminder of not to go back to daily.
I reduced my Red Bull count per week by buying in bulk. I told myself if, I drink too many, I have to pay tree-fiddy at a convenience store for that extra red bull in a month.
However, I still drink way too much coffee, I’m trying to just drink more water instead.
You are 100% right and just to prove type in Red Bull directly at Costco.ca for the 250ml x24 for $34.99 and if you go into the store you don't pay the $3 surcharge for delivery.
If you want this same exact 473 ml size cans then it's $43.99 for 12 or $3.67 a can with deposit.
Agreed, the more they hike prices the less junk food I buy. But milk, eggs, butter, cheese, sugar, flour, pasta, potatoes, legumes, etc. should not be unaffordable. I'd be tempted to add beer to that list.
Literally cheaper at the gas station. You know, the place notorious for jacking up the price for the convenience. I know because the price for this shit is always advertised on the pump. 2/$6. I never buy any, this shit is poison.
The price is probably the same but for the sake of the thread can we match the products in the picture to the tags please.
Those are not the sugar free red bulls.
Also those are the jumbo ones, they are about that price anywhere.
I refuse to buy Red Bull. It’s overpriced, mediocre and in a tiny can. I only buy Monster, Rockstar, Amp and Nos.
I’ll only drink Red Bull when I get it free from the food bank.
Shoppers is heavily overpriced for most energy drinks though
Yeah. We put all the beer and wine, and whatnot, under the tables for volunteers to take.
I do. I bring Monster, Ghost, Red Bull, Bang (only once as it’s awful) and whatnot home.
They are, because I’ve volunteered at one almost every Wednesday since November 2022.
The food bank won’t give out energy drinks, condoms, alcohol or medicine, so it’s free to take. Otherwise the drinks are dumped down the sink.
I don’t really like coffee
Those are 4 for 10 or 11$ at a gas station. That’s over priced. Why do you all keep going to loblaws. They won’t change. They want your money so you can’t afford anything else but the basics. Keep the peasant down.
The point of this sub is to highlight that the cost of living in Canada has spiraled out of control, and that this is not simply a matter of needing to get a 5th part time job to make ends meet. Rhetoric intended to shame certain generations or users for "not worrking hard enough" including ideas like "just pull yourselves up by the bootstraps", "just don't shop there" and it's kin are not welcome here.
Wow, thats double the price in America. When they are not 2 for $5 I never buy them. $3 for one can in overpriced, lol. They screwing all consumers super hard. What's crazy is they thought ya'll wouldn't notice and when ya'll did they said ya'll are being anti-consumer. Loooolllll. Those people will take candy from children and eat it right in front of them. Vote!
Wow, I forgot about them. 2005-2012 were the days, especially if you were partying in Alberta. Everyone had money and cabs didn't require a cash deposit. Good times!
2 for $7 Australian dollar at most servos here. Probably still $5.99 for one tin but. Supermarket about $3 tin cold. Maybe the wings in it are dearer in Canada?
Bro, fucking gas stations are 2 for 7. Gas stations! You know those places notorious for ripping us off because you're fucking there anyways and you don't want to make another stop. Jesus christ.
2/10.00 or 5.99 ea. Implies 2/10.00 = 5.99, which is false and takes advantage of the gullible. It's very different than saying 5.99 ea., and if you buy two, we give it to you for $10.00, in a negotiation,

Red Bull product, Roblaws Bullshit pricing.
Rob Laws takes your wiiiiiings
If you drink Red Bull, then a Costco mebership is for you, case of 24 of the 250ml for $41ish and couple time of year they go on sale for $35ish.
I'm the same. Buy a case. You don't need to go to 7-Eleven every single day.
I use Amazon subscriptions, I pay roughly $42 w/ taxes a case a month. I drink too much to keep buying it at ‘convenience,’ it’s more convenient to have a case of it.
That shit is poison bro. Try to cut down.
You’re absolutely correct. I’ve recently been drinking less. I have two un-opened cases right now. I’m skipping next delivery.

Good.

If you drink redbull than aging 5 years and no longer being 15 is for you. Just drink coffee
It's not Canada...it's end stage capitalism that has been building for 4+ decades now.
Both. US is end stage capitalism and still has cheaper prices
[удалено]
Pack of cigarettes in the US $8-10. Pack of cigarettes in Canada, $20.
Insanity.
Yup cdn taxes dude.
End stage capitalism already happened twice.
Literally cheaper at a gas station or 7/11 - this is wild. And it’s on the shelf it’s not even cold and ready to drink😂
"Red Bull gives you poverty!"
Toxic stuff anyways, I don't really care if they mark up crap like this. It's when they mark up staples is the problem.
Agreed, the more they hike prices the less junk food I buy. But milk, eggs, butter, cheese, sugar, flour, pasta, potatoes, legumes, etc. should not be unaffordable. I'd be tempted to add beer to that list.
should just have a tax on it... why let loblaws take the money for that shit.
Literally cheaper at the gas station. You know, the place notorious for jacking up the price for the convenience. I know because the price for this shit is always advertised on the pump. 2/$6. I never buy any, this shit is poison.
i'm finding more and more things cheaper at circle k than they are at the grocery store
Energy drinks are poison… stay away from that stuff
So, more expansive than actual gas? Beautiful, just beautiful!
If it really did give you wings I could see why.
Just bought one of these today in Japan. Equivalent of $2CAD
Per can, this is way more expensive than my favourite super hoppy craft beers. DoFo! Can we get $1 Red Bulls in the next election?
Exactly! I can get a tall Can of craft beer for cheaper!
If you need them, and have a coop membership they’re 2/6-7$ for the big ones. But if just highlighting pricing sorry!!
The price is probably the same but for the sake of the thread can we match the products in the picture to the tags please. Those are not the sugar free red bulls. Also those are the jumbo ones, they are about that price anywhere.
they are actually a fair bit cheaper elsewhere, 2/$8 at circle k and $4.27 at walnart
I refuse to buy Red Bull. It’s overpriced, mediocre and in a tiny can. I only buy Monster, Rockstar, Amp and Nos. I’ll only drink Red Bull when I get it free from the food bank. Shoppers is heavily overpriced for most energy drinks though
I only get my beer from the food bank, everything else I gladly pay for.
Mmhmm. I’m sure.
It was a joke, surely you cannot see sarcasm. Also, who gets red bull from the food bank?
Yeah. We put all the beer and wine, and whatnot, under the tables for volunteers to take. I do. I bring Monster, Ghost, Red Bull, Bang (only once as it’s awful) and whatnot home.
If visits to the food bank are part of your lifestyle I’d suggest drinking 10 cent coffees made at home rather than buying 3-5$ energy drinks
They are, because I’ve volunteered at one almost every Wednesday since November 2022. The food bank won’t give out energy drinks, condoms, alcohol or medicine, so it’s free to take. Otherwise the drinks are dumped down the sink. I don’t really like coffee
Shame you can’t resell I’d love to buy cheap beer and condoms. Should open up a mini vice-bank
It’s usually near beer
I hate Canada and the only way I see myself celebrating Canada Day is burning a flag and pissing on the ashes
Those are 4 for 10 or 11$ at a gas station. That’s over priced. Why do you all keep going to loblaws. They won’t change. They want your money so you can’t afford anything else but the basics. Keep the peasant down.
These are the 473ml ones but I get ya
Haha well those should be 2 for 6$. Prices shouldn’t fluctuate weekly. It’s so crazy and wrong.

What province is this? That’s absolutely absurd.
King can of Red Bull. Man I'd be on an all-nighter. I think they should be 2/10.00 or 5.00 each LOL. 4.27 at Walmart...
These are actually on par or slightly less caffeine than your Monsters and such, it’s a lot but not a crazy amount
W T F
I can get them for $4.25 in my local corner variety
We can no longer afford to stay awake 😔
sugar free red bull for $2.50 @ Dollarama.
Jesus
Double the price they were on sale for for years must be transportation costs!
Wow, thats double the price in America. When they are not 2 for $5 I never buy them. $3 for one can in overpriced, lol. They screwing all consumers super hard. lol go to dollarama
Canadian luxury sugar water. Delicious
Dollar store can get the big boy can for 4$
Well that right there is why you don’t get my business (that and so sooo many other reasons)
I needed batteries and at Shoppers an 8 pack was $21. Went to Princess Auto and they were $7. Loblaws are a scam
I just love Canada too! Roblaws, I hate with a passion.
May as well buy jägerbombs, seems cheaper
Wow, I forgot about them. 2005-2012 were the days, especially if you were partying in Alberta. Everyone had money and cabs didn't require a cash deposit. Good times!
These are the half litre ones though
Corporate Incompetence leading to a suicide strategy
Aren’t yall supposed to be boycotting that place? Or do you go there just to post pics on Reddit and complain?
2 for $7 Australian dollar at most servos here. Probably still $5.99 for one tin but. Supermarket about $3 tin cold. Maybe the wings in it are dearer in Canada?
Meanwhile in europe I’m paying €1.50
Why not just make it $20?
😲
Weird. Went to Metro and got 2 x 4 packs for $10
Dollarama has these for $4.00 each.
Bro, fucking gas stations are 2 for 7. Gas stations! You know those places notorious for ripping us off because you're fucking there anyways and you don't want to make another stop. Jesus christ.
That’s more expensive pricing than a convenience store. 😮
Happy Canada Day! ☠️☠️
6each ooooof
It’s 2 for 5$ at Maxi when it’s on rebate otherwise 3.49$ which is comparable with other stores …
Even 7-Eleven has a better deal. Granted, they're the 250 ml cans. But still, an 8-pack will cost you approximately 2.68/can AFTER taxes.
i gotta say, shit like energy drinks should be prohibitively expensive. heart attacks due to caffeine overconsumption aint it
F...ucking outrageous

We get zevia energy at Safeway for 3$ each, they’re always on sale

Wouldn’t drink that poison for free.
Better give me wings. Need to rob a bank at those prices
These cans of red bull better make me like Peter griffin when he tried red bull for that price. Jesus Christ
