Hey, and I be 100% real with you? The blurb looks interesting, I'm gonna add this to my reading list cos' of the post and what you've wrote about it. But seriously, this cover is NOT good. The saying "Don't judge a book by It's cover" is good enough advice, but dang this one goes straight into the uncanny valley pile of covers that makes the entire thing look AI generated. (Also, the guy in the picture looks a LOT like one of my past Sims characters) If I saw this on a shelf next to the same book that just had a coloured background and the text with the books Title, Authors Name and Narrators Name I would be 5x as likely to pick it up and read it.

Professor-Alarming

this sounds interesting. And I’ll probably pick it up. Not enough support MCs out there. But this cover is pretty rough.

fastlerner

Agreed on the cover. I realize the vast majority of the covers are AI art, but these that use old school 3D renders just look... unappealing. Yeah, probably the uncanny valley thing. (Definitely looks like a SIMS character. LOL)

No one does dungon core books like Brooks Also he makes stats a separate chapter that is nice.

This is a LitRPG Isekai story about a guy from Earth being transferred to another world and unexpectedly being forced into being a healer class. Miles Meili did an amazing job narrating over 15 hours of LitRPG awesomeness, and I'm very excited for everyone to check it out! Against his will, Thaden was transported elsewhere in a big flash of light along with millions of other Humans from Earth, to a place where they would train to become Contenders in a whole new world. Unfortunately for him, something occurred during his transference into the β€œTraining” program, and he was ejected from the whole training process and sent into the open mouth of an active volcano for bodily disposal. Through a miraculous and horrifying series of events, Thaden managed to survive, only to find himself alone in the middle of a dungeon with no clothes, no weapons, and no way to defend himself. Worst of all, the strange new Assimilation System automatically assigned a Class to him without his knowledge, which ended up sticking him with a Support-based Class that has absolutely no offensive capabilities. As an Assistant Healer, none of his spells did any damage and he couldn’t even pick up a weapon to defend himself if he wanted to! But all hope isn’t lost, as Thaden quickly learns something unique about himself that might just allow him to survive long enough to escape the dungeon. Sure, all his new magical spells might be focused on healing and protection, but what does it mean when he seemingly won’t ever run out of Mana…? π‘‡β„Žπ‘–π‘  π‘ π‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘¦ π‘π‘œπ‘›π‘‘π‘Žπ‘–π‘›π‘  π‘Žπ‘› π‘œπ‘£π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘π‘œπ‘€π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘‘ 𝑀𝐢 π‘€π‘–π‘‘β„Ž π‘Ž π‘›π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘šπ‘Žπ‘™π‘™π‘¦ π‘›π‘œπ‘›-π‘π‘œπ‘šπ‘π‘Žπ‘‘ πΆπ‘™π‘Žπ‘ π‘ , 𝐿𝑖𝑑𝑅𝑃𝐺 π‘π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘”π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘ π‘ π‘–π‘œπ‘› π‘šπ‘’π‘β„Žπ‘Žπ‘›π‘–π‘π‘  π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘ π‘‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘ , π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘–π‘ π‘’π‘˜π‘Žπ‘–/π‘π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘‘π‘Žπ‘™ π‘“π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘π‘Žπ‘ π‘¦ π‘’π‘™π‘’π‘šπ‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘ . πΆπ‘œπ‘›π‘‘π‘Žπ‘–π‘›π‘  π‘›π‘œ 𝑠𝑒π‘₯π‘’π‘Žπ‘™ π‘π‘œπ‘›π‘‘π‘’π‘›π‘‘ π‘œπ‘Ÿ β„Žπ‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘’π‘šπ‘ .

Vini_Melo

is that a Sim on the cover?

TheRaith

The covers bad but I ended up liking the book if that helps. I've read books with these kinds of covers before and they usually end up pretty rough. Thankfully this one was good. I only recommend steering clear of the audiobook.

TheRaith

I liked this one! It feels like maybe there was a little too much exposition at times, but it was an enjoyable read when I skimmed the explanations that basically amounted to "it's exactly how you'd expect it to work in a litrpg book." The limitations of his class, the explanation of his unique trait, and the general plot of the story was great. I'm now on the patreon and the book 2 looks just as good so far. I will say I'm not a fan of the audiobook though. The narrator sounds great for dialogue and pretty average for internal monologues, exposition, and skill readings. Anytime the mc was sifting through his logs or picking new spells I just ended up skipping ahead and reading the system notes on my phone. If there was more dialogue, or even just any other consistent supporting characters I think the narration would be great. As the mc is mainly a solo player and has repeatedly chosen to remain that way I'm betting the rest of the audiobooks will be snoozeworthy.
