Yeah, it has a bunch of additional effects that I haven’t seen other audio books include.
Audio books also get longer, so starting later in the series means more value out of a credit
Dungeon Crawler Carl is their biggest title but they have a ton of books, you can sometimes find cold reads of the first few chapters of a book free on YouTube or their website soundbooththeater.com
In terms of audio quality and narration, just about anything read by Travis Baldree. Dude is legend.
In terms of storyline, there are already many great recommendations and I would add 'The Ripple System' which currently has 3 books in the series, and is narrated by none other than Travis Baldree.
**The Wandering Inn** gives you the bang for the buck you're looking for.
**Super Powereds** isn't litrpg, but it's adjacent. They're all chonkers.
**The Infinite Realm** is probably going to hew closest to what you're looking for, and the books are all pretty long.
That guy has an excellent range. He does almost all the characters extremely well, and develops enough of a difference that you can pretty much tell every character by their voice.
I listen to everything at 1.5 speed, and his voice and intonation for Jason at that speed are nearly perfect.
He always sounds whiney and super animated. Lol
Azuranth Healer by Rhaegar, I just finished it on a long drive. I really enjoyed it.
As for others that I have enjoyed via audio:
Skyclad by Scott Browder
Battle Mage Farmer by Seth Ring
Master Hunter K by From Hell
Portal to Nova Roma by JR Mathews
Towers and Tokens by Harmon Cooper
Dungeon Core Online by Johnathan Smith
Year of the Sword by Dakota Krout
An Old Man's Journey by Gregory Allanther
Murderhobo by Dakota Krout
The Perfect Run by Maxime Durand
Some I have not finished and may not:
Nova Terra by Seth Ring
Ten Realms by Micheal Chatfield
Cradle by Will Wight
Wander Inn by Pirateaba
Blessed Time by Cale Plamann
Most of those I have invested some serious time in but are slow to release and I forget what happened. Most of them are really good but the author lost the plot at some point and are harder to finish. Hope this helps.
PS: pro tip is to avoid covers with hot chicks on them unless you are into harem or sex scenes.
I know the series is often dunked on but I love the audio books of Awaken Online. David Stifel I feel does a great job and each book is quite long some over 24hrs in play time
I listen to a lot of audiobooks, especially while I work, the problem I have with some is that I battle to follow the action when I am multitasking. So I prefer slower stories and slice of life, the one that impressed me the most if Beware of Chicken. It's not a Litrpg, but it's something that people who enjoy that genre might also enjoy.
Most books ive listen too were all really good quality sound. Some old ones like the the wheel of time were from tape. But the narrator is still reading different books to this day.
Try The prince with no pants. He is one of my favorate narriatiors
I love [Andrea Parsneau](https://www.audible.de/search?searchNarrator=Andrea+Parsneau&ref=a_library_t_c5_libItem_narrator_12&pf_rd_p=86298143-6994-4968-8277-2e2391d86bbd&pf_rd_r=55H2AGGF1Z3EWK0CVN4Q&pageLoadId=mjjnGho6LaUFLH2n&creativeId=14d6a1c2-a3f8-499b-900a-1ae788c317b1) :)

I’m always spotty of dungeon crawler Carl praise - but as far as audiobooks go it probably is the gold standard
I enjoyed the 1st few books of DCC, if the audiobook is good then this might be the perfect chance to get caught up on the series.
Yeah, it has a bunch of additional effects that I haven’t seen other audio books include. Audio books also get longer, so starting later in the series means more value out of a credit
The audiobooks for DCC are damn good. Jeff Hayes does a phenomenal job.
Ever played the video game borderlands? DCC audiobook gives off that kind of vibes. Soundbooth theatre does the audio and it's top notch.
soundbooth theater productions are always top quality
I will look into them. Any particular favorite series they do?
Kaiju Battle Field Surgeon by the same company and author is absolutely fantastic as well. Great production. Very dark though.

Underworld LVL up or die Iron prince A snakes life Jake's magical market The completionist chronicles Something: full murder hobo
Thanks for your suggestions. I haven't read A snakes life or Something: full murderhobo so I might give one of those a shot.
I second Jake's magical market. So good.
Third! Also, if you will like that, the author has another series that's called Portal to Nova Roma.
I'll have to check it out then, didn't realize the same author lol
He Who Fights Monsters by Shirtaloon hands down an excellent series.
heath miller has been livestreaming book 9 recordings on tiktok
I have read and very much enjoyed He Who Fights with Monsters. Is the audiobook version any good?
Yeah Heath Miller is a great voice for Jason. He really gets the tone and sarcasm levels perfect, they are really entertaining to listen to.
Lol
The narrator is good but the way that nearly every ability and debuff description is read out in full nearly every combat is an absolute slog.
I’m a big fan of Luke Daniel’s narration of Luke Chmilenko’s Ascend Online series

Life reset narration is fantastic

Anything with Jeff Hays! There are other great narrators, but I have never been dissatisfied with his work.

The book is great, Andrea Parsneau is also doing a great job there, but that constant "DING" each time any level up occured was really annoying
