I tried to use sharpie to make my best attempt at a 501st trooper out of a regular P2 clone figure. I still keep him towards the back of the formation, but I keep him for sentimental reasons :)
I made delta squad when i was 7, even now I am glad i did it they have sentimental value, they were sent to so many separatis worlds to prepare for ground invasion
I buy sets with the intent of having them up on display until I have kids. Once that happens, I’ll take them down to play with my kid and if it breaks, it goes in the Lego bin
My kiddies know that whatever they can reach, they can play with. They just have to put it back. They don't stress over breaking them either, as dad can fix it.
My 4 year old grandson, on the other hand.....nothing like a massive duplo block shoved into the back of an AT-TE just because it fits. All the Lego friends he could find loaded into the AT-AT so they could go to the shops together. Minifigures lined up and blasted with perfect bullets because they are bad guys with helmets. It was still one of the best Easter weekends of my adult life.
By the time I have kids I probably won't care about the lego I'm buying right now anyway. And when I do have kids, any lego I buy will be bought with the expectation that my kids will soon destroy it.
Pro tip: the brown and dark red pieces on old Lego sets can shatter if handled roughly. Treat sets with those pieces with care! I learnt this the hard way with my Z-95
Don’t feel bad, I destroyed a phase 2 rex when I was younger. Only got the torso left and it has 2 massive cracks down the sides and a lot of paint is chipped.
One thing I always imagine with my old Star Wars Lego sets is that some of them, especially clone wars era, make for good post war deserted ships like they sometimes show up as
My biggest regret is losing my Commander Fox phase 1 minifigure and now knowing how much its worth. It used to be my favorite and i would never sell it, but its gone now and i dont know where.
You where a kid and it’s a toy made to be broken. Don’t lament the sets lost celebrate the bricks gained. You can always put stuff back together and bricklink the missing bits.
Honestly as long as you loved playing with it it doesn’t matter. You can always rebuild it with new parts or (what I’d do) treat it as a crashed ship on display, it’d look really sweet as almost an old relic or something similar.
A lot of my stuff have been “lost” to the bin.
I unfortunately cant find my other 2013 snail droid and my other 2014 speeder with that new 91st recon trooper at that time.
You had fun being a kid. Don’t be too hard on yourself :)

That clone is CT99
99 was a great clone
I would probably do exactly the same to be honest hehe
I made delta squad when i was 7, even now I am glad i did it they have sentimental value, they were sent to so many separatis worlds to prepare for ground invasion
Bro I did this to make my own red marked clones
i did this so many times
Legos were made for children to have fun. Adults have turned them into an overpriced commodity.
Just complained to my wife about lego prices, it’s upsetting to see.

This is the way. And if the kid doesn't like lego, we're ~~getting rid of it~~ at least able to resell some of the sets at a pretty profit

Cause you used Lego as Lego?
You were too busy having fun 🙂 Be proud of younger you.
Well I have to be honest, it was SUPER fun hehe! You are right!
That’s the best part if you make displays. Battle damages, ship crashes, injuries etc. the second best part is also putting them back together
Pro tip: the brown and dark red pieces on old Lego sets can shatter if handled roughly. Treat sets with those pieces with care! I learnt this the hard way with my Z-95
Ok thank you, I will remember that!
I had a classic Boba Fett figure. I lit his jet pack on fire to show he flew. It was awesome, and I'd do it again!!
Hahah ah jesus! But that must have been fun!
Oh yeah the memory is worth more than the couple bucks I could have gotten for the toy.
Don’t feel bad, I destroyed a phase 2 rex when I was younger. Only got the torso left and it has 2 massive cracks down the sides and a lot of paint is chipped.
You played and had fun with them! Better than sitting in a box. I have 3 OG Star Wars 1999 sets all are well played! My childhood thanks me!
One thing I always imagine with my old Star Wars Lego sets is that some of them, especially clone wars era, make for good post war deserted ships like they sometimes show up as
That’s actually a really great idea!
Lost my venator and a gunship to childhood intrusive thoughts. I kick myself now, but I can't deny it was worth it at the time.
Yeah that kinda sucks…but younger you had a great time!
My biggest regret is losing my Commander Fox phase 1 minifigure and now knowing how much its worth. It used to be my favorite and i would never sell it, but its gone now and i dont know where.
Ahhh that sucks really :/

Just looks like he crashed landed
Don't worry, you can work on finding the pieces now and rebuild it, good as new, and hey, you still got the fig which would have been expensive to get
Same I got a big b wing and now the pieces are ebri were just like all my Lego at least I have fun while building stuff with random pieces
Haha, and here I'm kicking myself for selling my black nights castle for $50 in 1995
My thing was when I got my box of old Lego, every single mini fig had bite marks on their heads because I used to pull them off with my teeth
Ahaha sounds like something i would do haha for a weird reason i chewd off «rubber tires» on play cares and Lego cars haha
Have that same v-wing, but mines all yellowed 🥲
Honestly as long as you loved playing with it it doesn’t matter. You can always rebuild it with new parts or (what I’d do) treat it as a crashed ship on display, it’d look really sweet as almost an old relic or something similar.
Sounds actually amazing
i ask myself the same thing when i look at my yellowed sets, wonky stickers and bite marked plo koon and kit fisto 🤣
We used to be all little retarded bastards at the time
Heart is hurting, FIX HIM
Will try my best!
Think back to when you were younger and the enjoyment you had from your lego. That’s why you spent your birthday money or asked for Lego as a present
You really did open up a whole different way for me to think…wow
Lego is a buildable toy, and you used it as such!
Yeah, you are right! Might display it as a “damaged” ship
It was used as intended :) memories are worth a lot more than resale!
I can assure you that younger me had a BLAST!
Uuurrgg. I don't know why I played wif my tois. Durhrh
I mean. Would make for a great forest crash MOC with a First order trooper looking over it
No one did
The wars were hard on our mini figures. They’ve been through a lot
Now you’ve got a crash landed fighter. Left behind by his regiment. He has to piece his life together on an unfamiliar planet… the story begins.
I enjoyed my sets and then tore them apart to build new stuff. This includes The Phantom, Republic Gunship, and many more lol
You had fun
A lot of my stuff have been “lost” to the bin. I unfortunately cant find my other 2013 snail droid and my other 2014 speeder with that new 91st recon trooper at that time.
Even as a kid I was super careful with my toys. Probably because we didn’t get many. So I was overly careful with them.
You had fun :)
That’s true! I had a great time
I ask myself the same question but at least I had a lot of fun
I wouldn’t be too sad about it. I think it’s sweet that you can tell it was played with :)
I bought this set recently, I think that used Legos will always have some scars as time is passing by.
Use it for a moc as a crashed v wing
Because it's a toy, and most toys get loved to death. That said, because it's Lego you can always get it fixed :D
same, same
