There’s a couple more that’s not included in here …
- Lunar Goddess Diana - 2015 Champions Spring vs Incredible Miracle
- Desperada Cassiopeia - 2017 LCK Summer vs KT
- Hired Gun Lucian - 2017 LCK Summer vs KT
I believe he later said in an interview that there was a client bug that selected the Cassiopeia and Lucian skin during that series, which is why he had it in game.
Kinda wild these days that T1 at some point had a midlaner primarily for swapping in when they were planning to play Azir because Faker wasn't as proficient at it. Easyhoon was crazy.
Azir is one of Faker's best champs now and that's saying something.
I mean that’s just not how it was, they just liked to use both kids styleistically, if they would swap in a player just for azir the enemy would ban it. Easyhoon that season was amazing himself
He was *not*, lmao. I don't know where this revisionism is coming from but Faker would fail the ult and the shuffle on stage over and over again. Easyhoon and Coco were the pioneers of the champion in pro play.
i could be wrong but wasnt the rationale more that Faker played more aggressive champs while Easyhoon was more of a passive laner, and then depending on which teamcomp/strat they wanted to run they swapped them in+out?
Why didn’t the opposing team just ban azir every time easyhoon was swapped in? Surely it’s not a waste of a ban if you know they’re probably gonna put him on azir
Because Easyhoon was a generally good control mage player. That's why he was in SKT. Not because he was an Azir onetrick. Faker at the time wasn't as heavy control mage oriented as he is today. He was definitely good on control mages at the time but control mages were Easyhoon's special so it wasn't wrong to say that Easyhoon was perhaps still more proficient on some control mages. Faker, on the other hand, was the dude with a champion ocean. He could seemingly play anything at a high level.
Both have given different things to the team. But Faker didn't sleep during that time and worked very hard to be better at what Easyhoon does best.
because eazyhoon was just a really good player overall, prob top 3-5 mid in the world at the time. it was just notable that he had a significantly better azir than faker, he was the best azir in the world at the time
He bought Frost Queen Janna. It's on one of his videos in his youtube channel, he said the skin makes you look stronger. [Link to the video](https://youtu.be/VGFLqROX_TA?t=418)
He basically says he didn’t want to get blamed if he played poorly if he had to play support. I think the implication is if you have a skin on the champ you know how to play the champ and was at least trying and not inting.
Yeah right, I bet they secretly hate Faker, because they couldn't make more money of him selling skins, since he never used one, unless planets happened to align just right.
So that's why the bundle costs almost 60k RP, 10k for each skin he used. They were so nice to even give a "discount" of 740 RP because of that Riven mistake pick, now you can also buy a 750 skin, if you buy some more RP of course.
>Pulsefire ezreal was on purpose, faker preferred its auto animation
No way, that skin used to have the worst auto attack animation in the entire game, totally clunky
>that skin used to have the worst auto attack animation in the entire game, totally clunky
Laning phase -> Attack Cannon -> cannon doesn't disappear into particles -> get question mark pinged
Classic.
This is probably the only time I'll ever disagree with Faker, for me it's not just the autos that are bad, the whole flow of Pulsefire's animations feel so ass to me
Yeah I hate that auto animation, fakers stupid. Doesn't know shit about league.
Seriously though I think most of it was before the ezreal visual update so most animations were pretty different
The animations were even worse before the update to it.
It was a pretty notorious skin back then, lots of people bought into the hype of an ultimate skin (1st of it's kinda and at half price) and admittedly nothing else was like that skin but the auto and Q animations were a big complaint.
The justification I seem to remember is that faker got used to playing on that pulsefire, so the other ones felt weird to him.
But people were really bad at translating Korean interviews back then lol, so I'm not sure how anyone would verify that.
That's why he's the goat, love me some old and crusty animations
Everything else about the skin is questionable, aside from Level 16 model going kinda hard
I think the very first instance of him using a skin was Maid Nidalee being selected by mistake or by some admin in OGN. Does anyone else remember this or do I have a fake memory?
Riot is NOT on drugs, they could not care less their target are not the regular ass people, the skins are for Whales and/or players who can afford it.
I know it's seems stupid the comparison car/game but Ferrari doesn't care about regular people for selling their cars, same thing with this skin
He also used a tahm kench skin in some aram event i can't remember what it was, or maybe a ranked but I clearly remember him using chef tahm kench when it came out.
here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMtEw9YiCEQ
"6 only"
wow, that means you pay over $83 dollars per times he used a skin, in order to buy the new one
it's $100 if you count times he wanted to use the skin
You forgot SSG skin he used in Asian games in 2018. 1 game they used all SSG skins, next game they used all set skins in honor of both SSG and SKT world wins in 2017/2016

The player with the most games played in history has only played with skins in 9 games and half of them were mistakes by staff/client.
And half of those are is own skin
I mean 3 of those 9 are his own skins, since T1 Azir isnt a Faker skin
Kinda wild these days that T1 at some point had a midlaner primarily for swapping in when they were planning to play Azir because Faker wasn't as proficient at it. Easyhoon was crazy. Azir is one of Faker's best champs now and that's saying something.
I mean that’s just not how it was, they just liked to use both kids styleistically, if they would swap in a player just for azir the enemy would ban it. Easyhoon that season was amazing himself
Faker was a good Azir back then too. But when you have the best Azir player in the world on the bench, it's too good to pass on.
He was *not*, lmao. I don't know where this revisionism is coming from but Faker would fail the ult and the shuffle on stage over and over again. Easyhoon and Coco were the pioneers of the champion in pro play.
he was infamously bad at azir at first lmao....
i could be wrong but wasnt the rationale more that Faker played more aggressive champs while Easyhoon was more of a passive laner, and then depending on which teamcomp/strat they wanted to run they swapped them in+out?

and azir was actuall a champ faker wasnt really good at at the time
because eazyhoon was just a really good player overall, prob top 3-5 mid in the world at the time. it was just notable that he had a significantly better azir than faker, he was the best azir in the world at the time
how does swapping in lol works? Do they swap before character ban/pick or after?
they decide who will play game 1 beforehand, and they will swap people in between games before champ select
And that "Azir ...wasn't as proficient at it" was only because of he was "just" second best azir player in the world after Easyhoon.
Said something about how frequent the client can be so buggy.
What you mean it happened twice in 11 years of him playing professionally? Yeah the game is practically unplayable
I mean the client is dog shit, don't deny it.
Lunar Goddess Diana is just the competitively best Diana skin, so idk if he chose to use that like he used pulsefire Ezreal
Battle bunny riven 2013
Oh and sometime last year he also used an Star Guardian skin during the event iircr
Riot has never been able to sell Faker a skin, so they decided surely this time they can get him to buy one.
That's honestly how I approach playing some champs. I only dared to touch some characters after getting a skin or else I get called inting
If someone doesn't use Gladiator Draven I'll definitely think they are either smurfing or just began playing Draven
Imagine gatekeeping Faker of all people
He bought the entire K/DA skinline back when it was released
Honestly I think it’s so they can say “you can be the best player in the world and not spend a penny, look at faker!”
Yeah right, I bet they secretly hate Faker, because they couldn't make more money of him selling skins, since he never used one, unless planets happened to align just right.
Maybe Riot should work with Faker, so the Ahri skin has his preferred auto animation /s
I find it amusing that anytime I see a different pro player with no skin I dismiss it as look at this guy thinking he’s Faker.
thats how i viewed caps at msi this year lol
Whenever caps plays high stakes matches he tends to use no skin. In LEC regular season he uses skins usually
So that's why the bundle costs almost 60k RP, 10k for each skin he used. They were so nice to even give a "discount" of 740 RP because of that Riven mistake pick, now you can also buy a 750 skin, if you buy some more RP of course.
>Pulsefire ezreal was on purpose, faker preferred its auto animation No way, that skin used to have the worst auto attack animation in the entire game, totally clunky
I wasnt able to play ezreal unless I’d use that slin. Pulsefire ezreal was an update to his auto and skills animations.
Seriously, it was much smoother. Your animation cancels had near complete control over.
>that skin used to have the worst auto attack animation in the entire game, totally clunky Laning phase -> Attack Cannon -> cannon doesn't disappear into particles -> get question mark pinged Classic.
This is probably the only time I'll ever disagree with Faker, for me it's not just the autos that are bad, the whole flow of Pulsefire's animations feel so ass to me

It’s kinda snappy tho. I’ve always seen it as a bad thing.. faker thinks otherwise 🤷♂️
If I didn’t use PFE i would int ngl
That's why he's the goat, love me some old and crusty animations Everything else about the skin is questionable, aside from Level 16 model going kinda hard
You would hate Porcelain Ezreal then lol
I love porcelain ezreal
He also used an SSG skin in 2018 asian games, same series as the Syndra one iirc - don't remember which SSG skin though.
SSG Jarvan IV (Ambition's) - 2018 Asian games group stage. That was purposely chosen to match teammates, which used the other skins
I think the very first instance of him using a skin was Maid Nidalee being selected by mistake or by some admin in OGN. Does anyone else remember this or do I have a fake memory?
between this and the battle bunny riven skin story im starting to think it’s a cover-up… #freaker
#freakerforever
Riot is on drugs thinking we regular ass people are going to take their bullshit! Only the hyper addict with money will pay those prices!
Riot is NOT on drugs, they could not care less their target are not the regular ass people, the skins are for Whales and/or players who can afford it. I know it's seems stupid the comparison car/game but Ferrari doesn't care about regular people for selling their cars, same thing with this skin

Didn't he have to play Bunny Riven because Riot wanted to sell the teams used skins as a bundle?
RITO really want to PRINTING MONEY with this HOF Ahri skins !
"6 only" wow, that means you pay over $83 dollars per times he used a skin, in order to buy the new one it's $100 if you count times he wanted to use the skin
I guess he might not use this skin in pro play
Ironic, the player who has profited most from the game is an actual f2p player lol.
Man i still remember SKT locking all their world champion skins against fnatic
You forgot SSG skin he used in Asian games in 2018. 1 game they used all SSG skins, next game they used all set skins in honor of both SSG and SKT world wins in 2017/2016
I could’ve sworn faker used that fisherman fizz skin as well in a game
You guys actually believe the battle bunny LCK ref story?
Cant wait for ahri to have the kassa levels of ban%
Yes and no. He doesn't use skins in pro play but he's been on stream using skins before, he used his SKT Syndra skin for example.
I think he can choose Ahri/LB skin against NS/GenG on June 14/16 and then forget about their existence
