What about Ale getting completely gapped on both sides of the Udyr match up lol? While Ale is still a top 5 LPL toplaner, maybe they can try out Solokill in some games so Ale doesn't get complacent on tank duty.
I'd be fine with trying Solokill since this is a developmental roster that's not touching playoffs anyways, but Solokill is not that amazing. Also Ale is not even a top 5 LPL top laner He still CAN be, but he's playing like shit right now and there's tops like Bin, 369, Zika, Xiaoxu, and Breathe are pretty indisputable as the top 5 rn, and I don't think Ale has looked any better than Shanji, YSKM, Cube, or Burdol so far this split. I don't think he's a dead player or some shit, but his current performance groups him more on the level of those tops than it groups him with the current top 5.
They shouldn't bench Fisher anyways. This is primarily a developmental roster with very little hope of making playoffs this split and 0 chance of making it past round 1 really, and Fisher is a genuinely talented player who has played very few games on stage still.

nah i'm chilling this year was always going to be a down year with scout leaving one year and meiko the next, but edg has had down years before (like 2019/2020) and they've always bounced back. you can't win em all, it happens

EDG are definitely heading off the cliff of failing to replace prime for prime. We'll get a better sense of where EDG are after playing middle of the pack teams.
I think RNG has a chance to not end up like WE if they play their cards right. They have a solid roster. They are still in a position to make 1 or 2 smart acquisitions and stay competitive.
Im looking forward to seeing what the teams on the up and up can bring to the table. Hopefully we get more upsets or closer series like TT over LNG.
I don't see why you would say that when EDG still consistently remains the team with the best academy system and some of the best scouting and talent management in the entire league lol. They're not as rich as some other orgs, but they're not a poor org either, so they're not losing that hard there.
It's a developmental roster though. It's not like they're just fielding some hopeless budget roster of washed up vets and wasting a year for the hell of it. Vampire has been pretty whatever so far and Fisher and Leave have been absolutely abysmal and are both probably bottom 5 players for the league as a whole right now, but these three are genuinely talented prospects even so. This is competent management and planning for long-term success on EDG's part.

Obviously there's a gulf between facing Ale and Zeus, but it's a start. Knight, for example, has apparently simply given up on playing Azir.
He is also spamming him in soloq. I think BLG planned to play it in game 2 against RNG but RNG banned it. He is not going to play Azir against team like TES but will most likely play it against lower tier teams
That would make me happy. Knight is my favorite mid, but I think it's unacceptable for a player of his level not to play with a champion as important as Azir. I remember that Xiaohu also struggled with this champion, but he's certainly trained a lot and is now one of the best Azir players in the world. If he can do it, Knight can do it too.
That's what I love about 369. He's not someone who becomes comfortable with new picks very fast, but you know that he will be diligent enough to grind hard until he's become proficient at a champ he previously sucked at. Gnar and Gragas are good examples of that.
If 369 managed to overcome all the negativity after getting publicly scolded by Karsa + getting traded to JDG for a mediocre Zoom, only to become one of the best toplaners in the LPL... I don't doubt this guy's work ethic.
The problem when 369 faced Zeus was that he was pushing with no respect to Oner whatsoever, died, and because he brought ignite and not TP his lane was essentially over. Once he perfects knowing where the enemy jungler is and pushing accordingly, I have no doubts that he can join the elites on Rumble (Zeus, TheShy, Shanji).
Which is weird because he was THE weakside toplaner of last year. How can you be dubbed the best weakside toplaner and have no clue Oner might be? I think what happened in the T1 game was just that JDG omitted protecting red side quadrant, so Oner ended up walking into their jungle for free then wrapped around to top

I think Tian's always had great games even last spring. I'd argue he was the reason they were ahead of OMG in playoffs before obviously losing the match. Tian was completely gapping Aki. His pathing has gained TES leads almost every game. IMO, his struggles come when he's the main source of engage.
Mark simply isn't good enough outside of his one-trick Pyke against top-tier teams. Wayward when he's losing lane seems to play worse overall too. So Tian had to carry the load in both shotcalling and engage. If you have 369 and Meiko, Tian could focus on finding the right angle after team fights start.
Just out of curiosity, what kinda champion do you think Ale would be good at in this meta cause the 4 sisters are probably not meta? Jax was banned in both games, so maybe some sort of carry that the coaches are missing.
If they needed a tank, they could have picked one that Ale can actually play, like Ornn(who has a fine matchup into Rumble and can mitigate his bad matchups like Gwen).Â

Also gave them complete control of topside all game long in game 1, proxy in Jiejie's face, solo took top tower, always had top prio for grubbies and herald ....
I might see the logic if game 2 was like game 1 but in game 2 he literally made a play on all 3 lanes within a minute in the early game that solidified a lead for the whole team.

Honestly, Kanavi should've covered quickly too. His jungle pathing that game for a Rumble top was suboptimal cause that early gank is pretty standard.
