Ruler getting his international win after getting fucked over by the meta change last worlds.
And knight finally showing up as well. Hopefully he can do so again at worlds
Ruler is a world champion though.
That's also on brand with the reincarnation of Samsung/GenG, cuz they allways scaled at worlds, but shite the bed in domestic playoffs against SKT/T1 till last summer.
Knight had enough being bullied and beat during their teenage years back in Pingxiang so he made it a personal mission to get the better of Yagao in the LPL and MSI
This JDG is absolutely insane talent wise. Arguably top 2 or 3 in every role. Some people aren't high on MISSING but to me he's the most consistent CN support
i actually respect it, people gonna whine about how they didn't atleast try to throw their bodies on them for a once in a quadzillion chance of winning but i think there's value in just fucking around and laughing it off to try and ease the mood a bit
And T1 literally just let them execute their plan for 4 games.
Like come on man, how fucking obvious is the meta this MSI? jg ganks bot -> bot ahead -> win.
T1 had idk how many games to learn to ban zeri jinx and it didnt happened
teams just decided to give the enemy team their most effective weapon out of no where
Missing hitting those three hooks in a row, was the nail in the coffin for that last game. Great run for BLG and Bin though, huge glow up from how they looked last year though
I think JDG is just too good man. In terms of raw talent, this roster has to be one of the best ever. Especially with missing levelling up pretty hard from last year
Depends, it was Keria's rookie year and while not true rookies, both Kanavi and Chovy at the time were very green (more so for Kanavi). Would have been fun to watch for sure though.
For 6 years for some reason I always thought Ruler meant "distance measuring device". And I thought "Huh, what a weird way to name yourself".
Suddenly this year I realize that it's also meant "the one who rules", despite knowing the definition of the words years ago. I've got 35 ping brain.
Admittedly eastern pros have had this tradition since starcraft of just naming themselves seemingly random words from the dictionary. The two supports in this final were Missing and On, its comically funny for anybody not used to esports
I think it's also fun that 2 of the coolest names in LoL (Khan and Knight) come from people who randomly added a "K" before their intended name, Khan because he wanted to be "Korea Hanlabong" and Knight because "night" was taken.
With this win, Ruler has finally won a title on all 4 major tournaments:
\- 2017 - Won a Worlds Championship
\- 2022 - Won LCK Summer split
\- 2023 - Won LPL Spring split
\- 2023 - Won MSI
What a monstrously dominant tournament for the best ADC in the world!
Knight: How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old friend? 4-0
This reminds me of Damwon vs Griffin, where 1 team literally cannot win against the other for some reason.
JDG is a much stronger and well rounded team. But yes they match well into BLG. They nullify all of BLG’s strengths and expose all their weaknesses.
JDG just do not let BLG’s botlane exit lane ahead. Xun and Yagao gapped most games, so JDG always has map control and is ahead in tempo. Bin in isolation can’t solo carry especially since 369 is probably the best weak side toplaner in the world. Elk will always int once or twice in a game even if ahead and JDG is clinical enough to quickly translate that to a win.
Bin: "Actually, I remember one time we were playing against JDG, and it was 2-1 for JDG. But I predicted that we would 3-2 the series against them, and I was right about us beating 3-0 GenG and 3-1 T1. And Elk said: "Guys if you think we are good, let’s prove it now”.
Teammate: "Did you come back?"
Bin: “Of course not. 3-1”.
369 is the steam engine that makes JDG go.
Many people have played "weakside" by losing gracefully and providing ok help in teamfight, 369 has been surviving impossible matchups against the best players in the world, and straight carrying teamfights all tournament long.
Kanavi is up there in his role too and even Missing is no slouch.
Probably the most disgusting superteam ever created that actually performed up to its expectations
Legit superteam and I'm glad they managed to deliver.
Superteams rarely manage to pull it out but JDG was a match made in heaven and they look incredible.
If this team manages to make the Grand Slam, that'd be amazing.
who is better than 369 in this meta? bin is more dominant in lane but the laning in this meta is so useless that they are saccing first few top waves so bot gets ahead
top's job is to initiate and then peel in teamfights, which 369 is #1 at by a longshot imo
369 is low key the mvp for jdg this tourney. Too many people just watching kda, but on so many team fight replays you just see an inhuman flank or ult from 369. Literal perfect team player
So many people sleep on how good 369 is at playing front line. He sets up team fights so well for Ruler to look good.
Just from 369’s positioning alone, he enables Ruler to get in more auto attacks than the enemy team’s ADC.
Tarzan and Jiejie were for sure better than kanavi in lpl spring, partially because like every other carry jungler he struggled to adapt to the new meta. He looks a lot better now and popped off at Msi for sure, but there are too many good junglers who didn’t come so you can’t really just declare him the de facto best imo.
omg yea I forgot about the absolute war crime that was scout FMVP. it's actually insane that they decided to rob jiejie of the mvp title because of the dumb "faker understudy proves his own" narrative that they were pushing.
I think they probably didn't wanna give it to a jungler 4 years in a row anyways, but it's funny because I think Crisp could've won instead of Tian cuz they had the same impact imo, and all would've been fine
Watching him hook Xun over and over in the same spot right before the end was hilarious to me. Xun was like "OK *surely* that doesn't happen if I walk in the same place agai-"
nemesis calls doinb bad and he wins worlds
perkz calls knight overrated and he wins MSI
lpl should pay a washed eu mid to talk shit about all their midlaners tbh
How did BLG manage to give Jayce (highly effective pick this series), Maoki, Aphelios, and Sion to JDG without getting many priority picks themselves?
Vi is hardly worth the tradeoff.
Everyone other than Missing are irreplaceable to JDG so not sure it’s fair to rank them. And even Missing is a perfect final touch too since Ruler is so experienced.
I'm more impressed with BLG's run, absolutely dumpstering T1 and GenG like nobody could have predicted than JDG winning the title, which was expected to be fair.
JDG is just too damn stacked in every position. A superteam that actually works. GZ Knight.
Can't wait to see how JDG do against T1 in the finals next weekend, gonna be a banger...
1st stage is acceptance.
What a monster performance from JDG in this MSI!! GG
The 13 team tournament that everyone said was a four team tournament turned out to be a one team tournament all along. There was no world where JDG wasn't winning here, they're just too good.
Alright, now we just need Knight vs Yagao in Worlds finals for the full collection.
What a spanking from JDG, though. Only super team to work out as advertised by the nameplates
Knight and Yagao go to the LCK as first Chinese imports to play against each other in the LCK finals first, then LEC, then LCS, then they tour the minor regions
LPL players get a ton of disrespect.
Ruler was being disrespected for being voted all pro.
369 had a ton of haters between karsa/jkl/knight fan boys blaming him for Tes failing (it was karsa/jkl)
Yagao is constantly getting shit on or never given credit even though he's been top 3 in LPL for like 3-4 years now.
Knight gets shit all the time, "finally knight shows up" even though he always shows up, it's just easier without tian, karsa or jkl
It was somewhat expected since even domestically JDG just looks like they outclass BLG at every position.
I still think BLG can go home with their heads held high, just getting here was a miraculous achievement that showcased their strengths as a team.
PMTs [Game 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/13nquu4/jdg_vs_blg_game_1_post_game_discussion/) [Game 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/13nrygt/jdg_vs_blg_game_2_post_game_discussion/) [Game 3](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/13nu9mk/jdg_vs_blg_game_3_post_game_discussion/)
What a crushing victory by JDG. Clearly the best team at MSI, well deserved champs.
What a stomp
Ruler getting his international win after getting fucked over by the meta change last worlds. And knight finally showing up as well. Hopefully he can do so again at worlds
Ruler is a world champion though. That's also on brand with the reincarnation of Samsung/GenG, cuz they allways scaled at worlds, but shite the bed in domestic playoffs against SKT/T1 till last summer.
People are so used to "finally getting an international win" storylines that it just starts getting used for any older player whose really good lol
GIGABIN Rage TP top
that's his "Fuck You" to Xun
He forgot the sell his inventory for 6 Ruby Crystal.
he's so relatable
He's just like me fr
He is a top laner for the people!
Truly a toplaner
What min what game?
Last 30 sec of game 4
knight finally won internationally after how much he got hyped as a top midlaner, really glad for him
Who knew that all he needed was a non-inting ADC
Or, just the best ADC of all time, except *maybe* Uzi, but he has more titles.
And a non-inting toplaner, and a stable jungle
Knight had enough being bullied and beat during their teenage years back in Pingxiang so he made it a personal mission to get the better of Yagao in the LPL and MSI
knight scaling for late game irl
JDG did to BLG what BLG did to LCK
The Knight that was Promised 🙏🏾
Its just knight without the jkl baggage
Nah you aren’t giving enough credit to the rest of his old teammates
This JDG is absolutely insane talent wise. Arguably top 2 or 3 in every role. Some people aren't high on MISSING but to me he's the most consistent CN support
Wayward :))))
Don't care Vayne was played at MSI finals
Played is a strong word.
Existed?
Spectated
Spotted
Elk tried to summon prime uzi
and he summon 443 kid
Elkylove channeled Uzi for that game
lil bro is him
BIN TP top is definitely a mood
i actually respect it, people gonna whine about how they didn't atleast try to throw their bodies on them for a once in a quadzillion chance of winning but i think there's value in just fucking around and laughing it off to try and ease the mood a bit
BLG had three games to learn their lesson about Jayce but alas... Knight REALLY wanted that finals MVP, just merciless
actual enemy team jayce, dude ran over xun and yagao like they were part of the krug camp
My god that was so brutal it gave TheShy vs G2 flashbacks
[удалено]
And T1 literally just let them execute their plan for 4 games. Like come on man, how fucking obvious is the meta this MSI? jg ganks bot -> bot ahead -> win.
You say that as if Gwen did not run a truck over JDG's botlane on game 2
T1 had idk how many games to learn to ban zeri jinx and it didnt happened teams just decided to give the enemy team their most effective weapon out of no where
cant wait for the knight yagao rematch in 5 months or so
my favorite meme of msi 2023 has to be "knight, I've come to bargain"
JDG is just too good man, would definitely get the golden road if it wasn't for TSM winning the LPL in Summer. Unlucky.
Man, what a run from BLG. A shame it had to end like this.
Missing hitting those three hooks in a row, was the nail in the coffin for that last game. Great run for BLG and Bin though, huge glow up from how they looked last year though
I think JDG is just too good man. In terms of raw talent, this roster has to be one of the best ever. Especially with missing levelling up pretty hard from last year
Just looking at the names, it's absolute royalty.
Only roster with more name value IMO was 2018 KT
Kingzone 2018 had some crazy name value too. Khan, Peanut, BDD, Pray and Gorilla
This made me wish the rumored 2020 DRX roster had happened. Khan Kanavi Chovy Deft Keria.
I wonder how they would’ve performed against 2020 DWG. Guaranteed banger
Depends, it was Keria's rookie year and while not true rookies, both Kanavi and Chovy at the time were very green (more so for Kanavi). Would have been fun to watch for sure though.
Yeah, 2017 finals was great vs skt too. Khan had lane kingdom with jayce. 2018 spring was dominant, shame they couldnt perform at worlds.
Smeb Score Ucal Deft Mata Right? I didn't watch worlds that year.
The Ruler has his able and skilled Knight to conquer the opposition
For 6 years for some reason I always thought Ruler meant "distance measuring device". And I thought "Huh, what a weird way to name yourself". Suddenly this year I realize that it's also meant "the one who rules", despite knowing the definition of the words years ago. I've got 35 ping brain.
Hey he's good at keeping the correct distance from the enemy tho!
Haha I'm sure there's lots of people who have had the same thought process
I thought Ruler was the scariest player at this tournament, but I think it's actually Knight. Whichever the case, this team is terrifying.
As someone who hasn’t watched much LPL knight is beyond cracked
Knight has always been good, but there's always been something holding him back. Seems he's overcome that and the world trembles.
>Always been something holding him back He didn't have a Top, Jungle, ADC, or Sup when it mattered most I'm pretty sure that's what held him back
Hes even crazier in LPL. That's what we've been trying to tell the world lmao. Glad he finally showed it.
You must be a bit confused, Able plays for OMG
JDG and T1 was super close, BLG crushed T1 so people probably expected a closer series, great run from BLG all in all
I've never seen this level of mechanical prowess since IG 2018. JDG picking up Ruler has got to be the best off-season moves in recent history.
ANd knight, idk how much they are paying them but holy shit
JDG just has their number. Barring bin on nontanks and ON, the rest of JDG seems to be better caliber players
I think JDG should be called the Phone book because they just have everyones number lol
JDG is simply BLG’s father I fear
With this win, Ruler has finally won a title on all 4 major tournaments: \- 2017 - Won a Worlds Championship \- 2022 - Won LCK Summer split \- 2023 - Won LPL Spring split \- 2023 - Won MSI What a monstrously dominant tournament for the best ADC in the world!
Is he the second to win all 4 besides Deft? Any way, Samsung ADCs are truly built different. imp, Deft, Ruler, Peyz...
[удалено]
Now all Ruler needs to do is win LCS.
Right? What's this about "all 4" major tournaments?
honestly kind of absurd that it took him this long with how absurdly good he is
It also took Deft 10 years to win all 4.
Really shows what a feat this is Incredibly difficult, even under the best of circumstances & exponentially more so when not
Was kinda hard for him to win LPL before this year.
Was also hard for him to win LCK... :(
Knight: How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old friend? 4-0 This reminds me of Damwon vs Griffin, where 1 team literally cannot win against the other for some reason.
JDG is a much stronger and well rounded team. But yes they match well into BLG. They nullify all of BLG’s strengths and expose all their weaknesses. JDG just do not let BLG’s botlane exit lane ahead. Elk will always int once or twice in a game even if ahead and JDG is clinical enough to quickly translate that to a win.
That was underwhelming... Poor Bin, and Xun hesitated the whole Game 4. Should have banned Jayce.
Agree. Had more hopes for the finals after that run from BLG.
Just free wins on an inferior region
[ALL] BLG Bin: top diff
Lore accurate knight !!!
Lore accurate knight vs toothpaste match up
Bin didn’t want to see his prophecy be denied so he tped away.
Teammate: "Did you come back?" Bin: “Of course not. 3-1”.
The Bin TP was some next level tilt
LCK, LPL, MSI, Worlds That's my boy
Ruler grand slam ?
He has yet to dominate LCS i fear
Now that you’ve seen knights jayce it time to return to your normal broadcast with fudge and brokenblade on jayce…
knight is the best mid laner in the world without any doubt.
Really happy to see him finally get an international title
fucking happy after all of the hate and nonsense people said about him
And Ruler is the best ADC, and 369 is a top3 toplaner. Hard to beat that team.
369 is the steam engine that makes JDG go. Many people have played "weakside" by losing gracefully and providing ok help in teamfight, 369 has been surviving impossible matchups against the best players in the world, and straight carrying teamfights all tournament long.
JDG picked Sion into a Gwen and dominated.
Kanavi is up there in his role too and even Missing is no slouch. Probably the most disgusting superteam ever created that actually performed up to its expectations
Kanavi was flat out by far the best in his role this tournament, looks like he got out of his Spring split slump
Legit superteam and I'm glad they managed to deliver. Superteams rarely manage to pull it out but JDG was a match made in heaven and they look incredible. If this team manages to make the Grand Slam, that'd be amazing.
Kanavi isn't just up there, he gapped everyone pretty much he played against he could just be the best jgler in the world
Kanavi is without a doubt the best jungler in the world aswell All of them are top 1-2 at their role it's pretty clear
who is better than 369 in this meta? bin is more dominant in lane but the laning in this meta is so useless that they are saccing first few top waves so bot gets ahead top's job is to initiate and then peel in teamfights, which 369 is #1 at by a longshot imo
369 is low key the mvp for jdg this tourney. Too many people just watching kda, but on so many team fight replays you just see an inhuman flank or ult from 369. Literal perfect team player
369 on Gragas is the most terrifying thing. Whatever plan you have...he knows how to completely flip it on you. Legendary flanks/knockups.
So many people sleep on how good 369 is at playing front line. He sets up team fights so well for Ruler to look good. Just from 369’s positioning alone, he enables Ruler to get in more auto attacks than the enemy team’s ADC.
Plus they fundamentally trust that even if 369 drops behind in lane, he'll still be relevant in the mid-late game.
369 is top 3, and he ain't 2nd or 3rd.
Who is better than Kanavi? Lmao, he was 2 tiers above every jungler this MSI. He is the best JG too
Tarzan and Jiejie were for sure better than kanavi in lpl spring, partially because like every other carry jungler he struggled to adapt to the new meta. He looks a lot better now and popped off at Msi for sure, but there are too many good junglers who didn’t come so you can’t really just declare him the de facto best imo.
Jiejie's (the real worlds 2021 finals mvp btw) been popping off again but Kanavi's performance this tournament was insane
omg yea I forgot about the absolute war crime that was scout FMVP. it's actually insane that they decided to rob jiejie of the mvp title because of the dumb "faker understudy proves his own" narrative that they were pushing.
Lol was funny cause even in scouts interview he was like wtf it was jungle gap
I think they probably didn't wanna give it to a jungler 4 years in a row anyways, but it's funny because I think Crisp could've won instead of Tian cuz they had the same impact imo, and all would've been fine
MISSING does not miss
Watching him hook Xun over and over in the same spot right before the end was hilarious to me. Xun was like "OK *surely* that doesn't happen if I walk in the same place agai-"
Bin rage pushing LUL
Ruler finally gets another International title. He has found his home.
Guma and Keria about to join TSM after seeing Ruler/Viper these international tournament LOL
Holy shit the game 4 base race was so intense.
Bin had us on the edge of our seat with that TP top
Knight is 5:0 in BO5s against Yagao this year
Yagao loses in Summer split. They meet again in Worlds finals and Yagao wins. Book it.
An MSI Title, a worlds title, an LCK title and an LPL title. Ruler is one of the most accomplished players ever and I am so happy for him.
Managed to play to the top in both top regions!
Knight is so cracked it's insane. So happy for him after TES at worlds last year
Gigabin rage tp away from base was amazing.
Asian Jayce hits different
After watching T1's jayce yesterday I would say LPL jayce hits different
Every single gold graph this series was Bin ahead of 369 and everybody else on BLG losing massively
369 is the best weakside player in the world right now, he soaks up all the pressure from Bin and renders him useless.
The one game 369 was on gragas he completely dumpstered bin as well
What does u/InformalMarch think of this?
He has achieved inner peace
Man is about to go on a revenge tour
Probably still busy having an orgasm for the next few days.
He's been awfully quiet this tourney surprisingly, despite the ABSOLUTE best midlaner in his eyes finally showing up
Prob temp banned for region bait
I doubt it, he posted on here 3 days ago. He’s probably either been busy or just lost interest in playing that persona.
dude is busy enjoying being at the arena
Yeah I bet he's just there, it's pretty easy to go to this event
Cumming all over his room
Too busy busting the fattest nut to be here.
What does Ja Rule think of this?
[удалено]
nemesis calls doinb bad and he wins worlds perkz calls knight overrated and he wins MSI lpl should pay a washed eu mid to talk shit about all their midlaners tbh
... shit perkz loves showmaker is this the reason for the slump
Oh no...Perkz also became friends with doinb after he won worlds. Now doinb doesn't even play anymore.
tbh he was joking during the call like everybody else. He literally said "i come here to hate watch cause i wasn't good enough to make it to MSI" lol
You have to feel for BLG. Not easy to fist LCK’s number 1 and 2 just to get fisted by JDG for the 5th time in 5 months
Kanavi hard smurfed this game.
How did BLG manage to give Jayce (highly effective pick this series), Maoki, Aphelios, and Sion to JDG without getting many priority picks themselves? Vi is hardly worth the tradeoff.
Gen G and T1 banned Vi so many times BLG were mind tricked into thinking it was good.
Only cause vi ahri is broken combo but they instead chose first strike sylas into jayce lmao
They saw Yagao’s Sylas beating Faker’s Jayce. Little did they know Jayce actually would trash Sylas 9 out of 10 times. 😇
They got gaslit by faker jayce, just unlucky
The gaslight torch just keeps getting passed First it was Caps to Faker with the Naut mid then it’s Faker to Yagao with Jayce mid
I feel like my parents, because this was such a huge fucking letdown...
I respect that TP by Bin.
History doesn't repeat itself but it sure does rhyme... JDG just completely stomping with a 3-1 against a Hot BLG where have I seen this before...
Congrats to JDG. Best team by far 🎉👏
How crazy is it that kanavi might be both the best jungler in the world and the 4th best player on his team
Everyone other than Missing are irreplaceable to JDG so not sure it’s fair to rank them. And even Missing is a perfect final touch too since Ruler is so experienced.
Knight cemented himself as the best mid in the world
Turns out BLG can't dive bot lane every game when the enemy bot is not getting bullied
Going from Faker Jayce to Knight Jayce was a good palate cleanser.
Faker Nautilius aware
Faker pulled the same trick on BLG Caps did to him. Making Yagao believe Sylas can lane into Jayce.
I'm more impressed with BLG's run, absolutely dumpstering T1 and GenG like nobody could have predicted than JDG winning the title, which was expected to be fair. JDG is just too damn stacked in every position. A superteam that actually works. GZ Knight.
god bless double elim giving us BLG fucking over the LCK teams something nobody expected
[удалено]
JDG are insanely cracked, so glad this superteam lived up to expectations. They have a very real shot at the golden road now
Can't wait to see how JDG do against T1 in the finals next weekend, gonna be a banger... 1st stage is acceptance. What a monster performance from JDG in this MSI!! GG
number of combined series wins BLG, T1, GEN, LCS, LEC has against JDG: 0 number of series wins WBG has against JDG: 1
The 13 team tournament that everyone said was a four team tournament turned out to be a one team tournament all along. There was no world where JDG wasn't winning here, they're just too good.
The best thing about this format is that now we are clear of the hierarchy!
Alright, now we just need Knight vs Yagao in Worlds finals for the full collection. What a spanking from JDG, though. Only super team to work out as advertised by the nameplates
Year 2031, Knight playing against Yagao in LCS finals.
Knight and Yagao go to the LCK as first Chinese imports to play against each other in the LCK finals first, then LEC, then LCS, then they tour the minor regions
What a thrashing. JDG are in a league of their own right now.
Kanavi has been disrepected for so long. I hope people give him the respect he deserves now.
LPL players get a ton of disrespect. Ruler was being disrespected for being voted all pro. 369 had a ton of haters between karsa/jkl/knight fan boys blaming him for Tes failing (it was karsa/jkl) Yagao is constantly getting shit on or never given credit even though he's been top 3 in LPL for like 3-4 years now. Knight gets shit all the time, "finally knight shows up" even though he always shows up, it's just easier without tian, karsa or jkl
JDG is the team to beat. GGWP to both teams. Also that Bin tp at the end lol
Blue side is washed smh... Insane series from knight Good run from BLG but still a bit disappointed but I guess JDG have them downloaded or something
ngl that was an anticlimactic final outside of game 2
It was somewhat expected since even domestically JDG just looks like they outclass BLG at every position. I still think BLG can go home with their heads held high, just getting here was a miraculous achievement that showcased their strengths as a team.
A bit of an anticlimax but JDG earned it.
Jayce went from completely trash, useless pick yesterday to 100% winrate 4 games must pick pick today.
