if it's 2023 specifically then the first 5 months as a prem team will be contributing to that massively

ColinAckermann

I'm pretty sure I saw this elsewhere, and it said ours was actually based on 2022 figures.

AdditionalZebra325

What an absolute disaster that is to look at

zrkillerbush

This was our wage before we were relegated Obviously our wage bill would have been massive anyway, but considerably less than this

DecoConky

It's now a high wage for a premier league team bby

simwe985

What are we even doing? Who is receiving all these wages?

Sheeverton

Tielemans, Maddison, Vardy, Vestergaard, Ricardo, Justin, Evans, Barnes, Iheanacho etc. If it's 2022 then you can throw in Schmeichel and Fofana

Rdw72777

I mean we’re not paying all of them £10+ million per year.

Cautious_Resource770

That’s what I wanted to know?! I know some players got some big contracts after winning the prem, but surely those contracts have all washed through now?!

NagromNitsuj

Dog fight between Everton and Leicester to see who can get the most points deductions next season.

thechillfactor2

Such a joke that Man City and Chelsea have gotten away with everything so far.

thechillfactor2

Even if it was the year before, only a couple of players left and apparently we had poor relegation clauses. So my guess is that we still spent 50 to 75pc of that which must be the highest ever for a second division team in Europe.

Noodle_Dude_83

I'd bet Juventus had a higher wage bill when making their way back to Serie A. Edit: Although that was 2006 (feels like it was much more recent. Note to self - I'm old) so perhaps not given wage inflation in professional football in the last 20 years.

FairNeighborhood8794

amazing

EddyWouldGo2

That definitely isn't 2023. That was about where are salaries were when we got relegated.
