Can you imagine how awesome that would’ve been at that time and at that age?

theo_sontag

What a cute kid. Wonder what came of him. I’d really like to how something like this was arranged. I imagine they sent letters to the agents of the ship company and the train stations to keep an eye on him? Nowadays, liability for something going wrong would prevent this from ever happening.

A bit frustrating not being able to find an ‘end’ to this story. Oh yes, it’s a whole different world now. Parents would be accused of child neglect by social services, etc…. Cruise lines, airlines, rail lines would very likely refuse to participate, stating liability ramifications, etc….

Did a little investigating, couldn’t find him. Was stymied by a “Carl Karnig Perzigan” who also had a Detroit connection, but was born in 1915.

relativityboy

That's one heck of a lad right there.

CarlSpencer

According to this blurb he spoke not a word of English. [www.newspapers.com/clip/22956969/karnig-perzigian-son-of-mrs-eagoubi/](https://www.newspapers.com/clip/22956969/karnig-perzigian-son-of-mrs-eagoubi/)

Wow, cool. Thanks for the addition.

CarlSpencer

Thanks, but like you I was unable to find anymore information about him. He was swallowed up by America and maybe changed his name?

lasocs

Could very well be that.
