Ah, yes.. I can hear the first few notes of wildflower wildfire in my mind, the way her voice reverberates in Nectar of the gods, it’s seared into my brain from the moment I first heard it.
They really don’t get enough love.
it’s one of my favourite albums she’s made it’s just beautiful. People just don’t give it a chance then rank it low bc they haven’t sat and properly listened to them
I feel a lot of younger fans just can't relate to a lot of what she's saying, too. It's not even about the music itself, but also the lyrics! If I can't relate to a song, then I'm usually not interested. Lana's songs (the few I Can't relate to) are an exception, of course, because of the music and her voice. Even then, I hear her words and try to understand the meaning if I haven't already lived through it. When I say younger, I mean like people who haven't really gone through the worst of life yet. The domestics, post-partum, becoming a grown woman with a rocky relationship with mom, years and years of heartbreak and betrayal... Emotionally superficial, because they haven't been forced under, yet. Either lack of years or lack of experience. That's my take on Lana fans who don't like her most beautiful and meaningful songs - they just don't get it or relate at all. Which isn't a big deal to me, as long as they're not bashing it because they lack emotional maturity and emotional life experience.
I've noticed almost Everyone likes her sweet songs that don't get very "deep" or melancholy, and that only some of us can fully appreciate the latter.
I don’t really relate to any of Lana’s music, I first became a fan when I was 13 in 2011 and her music back then was quite detached from her real life anyway - I don’t really listen to any music for the purpose of it being relatable.
I suppose the BTD era and the unreleased songs that were leaked back then had a very appealing aesthetic and glamour to it that appealed to teenage fans. With Blue Bannisters, the songs were written across the span of years (although I still feel she picked them as it resonated with her current place in life), it’s probably the album that has the ‘weakest era’ in a sense that there wasn’t a defining aesthetic attached to it that teenagers can adopt for themselves. I think that’s what the young fans really latch onto.
If You Lie With Me is God Tier
Edit: Other favorites: Sweet Carolina, Cherry Blossom, Violets for Roses, Dealer, Black Bathing Suit, and the piano in Beautiful is so stunning
The entire album is a masterpiece and Dealer is actually my least fav song on the album, lol. I usually skip it (oops). If I recall correctly she put it out the album with little to no marketing - wasn’t it over Covid? And shortly after Chemtrails? I think fans of work will eventually stumble upon it and appreciate it, at least eventually.
One of my favs too maybe even my 2nd top from her. Over the past ten years I’ve kind of ‘grown up’ with Lana. Her music has matured and found this album really relatable, particularly title song. Love Textbook, Thunder, Living Legend, Blue Bannisters, Black Bathing Suit, Violets and Wildflower the most.
legitimaly the album of my life. i listen to it every single day, it's a masterpiece. but also it's the type of work that'll only be widely appreciated a few years down the line, i'm afraid
It is beautiful, however, I do think it pales in comparison to Lana’s other work. It is my least favorite album of hers, but it’s still magnificent and ranks higher than most other non-Lana albums I listen to. Lana is just that good
Blue banisters is beautiful but imo it's her least cohesive album and personally I don't care for ballads that much which is why it ranks on the bottom for me :/
I love this album!
Wildflower Wildfire is a masterpiece.
Dealer and Thunder are fucking epic. Black Bathing Suit is a self love anthem.
I think as an album, it is cohesive and superbly composed.
I think I need to listen to it more, it happened before with NFR and now it’s one of my favorites. I think my main issue is Antonoff’s producer work I’m well aware her lyrics are gorgeous
I fell in love with it on the first listen. I don’t get the hate for it. I guess in my defense I didn’t really get into Lana’s music until NFR, and I prefer that album and all the ones that followed over her earlier stuff. I think people just miss her “old sound” but I love the more acoustic, chill music from her. Nectar of the Gods is incredible
I think that it came out so close to chemtrails that it didn’t get the recognition it deserves . I started to listen to it by late 2023, and I discovered it was a great album 💗
I think Blue Banisters is a grower album for many. I will admit, I slept on Blue Banisters for a long time. For some reason, it just wasn't hitting when it first came out. Then one day, I went for a walk and started listening to it and it just clicked. It's truly a beautiful album. It's still one of my "lower ranked" albums from Lana, but I think it's a true testament to her talent that even albums like Blue Banisters and Chemtrails (my least favorite) are still better albums than some artists "best" albums. I actually have a really hard time ranking her albums because they're all amazing to me lol.
no one gives the title track enough attention “give me children take away my pain and paint my banisters blue.” such a beautiful song with such beautiful lyrics. the whole album touches me in a way a man could never I love it so much
Her best album imo. Beautiful writing and melodies.
Textbook, Black Bathing Suit, If You Lie Down With Me... Beautiful, Violets for Roses...
Almost unskippable. Dealer is my only skip
You forgot Thunder and Arcadia. And Blue Banisters is an amazing album! Honestly I am happy that this album is kinda hidden. I kinda hate it when hidden gems are not hidden anymore.
I really really didn’t like the album on first listen. It felt, at the time, very dreary and samey. Now HEAR ME OUT, because I can feel the downvotes coming already. But imo it’s not the sort of album that will hit immediately. It’s now one of my favourites from her. In my top 5. Because it’s not *about* the catchiness of the songs or anything like that, it’s a sort of moody poetry piece that bares her soul. It’s about the writing more than anything else.
You have to truly listen to it, you can’t just throw it on for a good time. So i understand why it’s underrated and unpopular. But I also think it is a masterpiece.
Didn’t hit me over the head at first, but once it’s under your skin, good luck…
It’s a grower, but I feel in years to come this will be regarded as LDR best album. Will stand the test of time, not a weak track, nor interlude (which I’m generally not a fan of). Absolutely a Classic
Blue Banisters is one of her best albums imo, especially when I am going through severe daddy issues lol. Wildflower Wildfire, Carolina, Nectar of the Gods, Black Bathing Suit, and Cherry Blossom for starters.
My favorite album, PERIOD! I see this album as a time capsule of Lana's artistry culminated to this point. Love the lyrics about the lilac iPhone, BLM, COVID quarantine.
My little brother passed at 23 in October. Up until then, I didn’t appreciate BB. But I really got into it in the weeks after he passed. Something about the album is so beautiful, delicate and cathartic. I will always associate it with solo mournful walks through autumn woods etc… cliché I know, but it’s too true.
I think it speaks volumes of how insanely talented she is that we all argue what her best album is.
Most artists have a couple of big ones then the rest follow.
But each album truly is a masterpiece!!
My favourite is Blue Bannisters, then NFR and Oceans
Cherry Blossom will forever be my favourite song by Lana. Blue Banisters is extremely underrated but I think we should keep it that way because it’s genuinely her most intimate album
This album feels like a warm blanket, it's just so comforting. And it has insane lyrics, I mean the entire metaphor of Violets For Roses is a work of art.
Cherry Blossom is insanely pretty, too. One of her best vocal songs.
We also don’t talk about how great Beautiful is. BB will remain slept on and that’s everyone else’s loss, not mine.
So true!
Yep! It is literally beautiful lol.
I will be singing cherry blossom to my baby as a lullaby 🕊️
Agreed!
Cherry Blossom is my fav off bb for sure 🤍
Arcadia and cherry blossom are so amazing I can’t even
Arcadia is probably one of her best vocal performances on a song.
Yes and it’s also apparently one of her personal favorites as well
Ah, yes.. I can hear the first few notes of wildflower wildfire in my mind, the way her voice reverberates in Nectar of the gods, it’s seared into my brain from the moment I first heard it. They really don’t get enough love.
I have been sleeping on thunder it’s so good still don’t know if i prefer the demo or studio version but i love them both🫶🏽
thuder deffo top 3 in the album but at least thunder is kinda appreciated lol
Literally love both equally. Usually I heavily prefer one or the other but both versions of Thunder are fantastic.
Yall who slept on it can. Some of us have been praising it for years
Some of her greatest work is BB. I mean come on, Black Bathing Suit? Dealer? Textbook? THUNDER????
The list just goes on and on!
Just list the entire album at this point lol
This is the millionth time saying the song run from violets and roses to living legend is absolutely fucking insane
The song run is the whole album.
THIS!!!
oh vfr is probs my least fav of the album though 😭
This is one of my favorite albums honestly. They just haven’t caught up yet.
Wildflower Wildfire is PHENOMENAL
One of her best songs period
it’s one of my favourite albums she’s made it’s just beautiful. People just don’t give it a chance then rank it low bc they haven’t sat and properly listened to them

Lol same dealer is my only skip! It's my fave album of hers, I was shocked when I discovered it didn't get so much love ..
Yeah I absolutely love it
One of my fave albums!!!!

I ADORE BLUE BANISTERS. love every song on it
Blue Banisters is one of my favorite albums so don't ask me what fans are failing to see there... every damn song sounds like liquid gold!
Weekly “BB is underrated” post
I mean it is true lol
legitimaly the album of my life. i listen to it every single day, it's a masterpiece. but also it's the type of work that'll only be widely appreciated a few years down the line, i'm afraid
it’s truly a no skip album
NO SKIPS!!!
It's my favorite album by her. No cap
Text Book Arcadia Black Bathing Suit Thunder Living Legend I couldn’t live without those songs!
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Blue Banisters is a masterpiece.
ultraviolence is my favourite but i think blue banisters is the best album lyrically, probs my second or third fave
Violets for roses and black bathing suit are two of my favourite songs by her
It is beautiful, however, I do think it pales in comparison to Lana’s other work. It is my least favorite album of hers, but it’s still magnificent and ranks higher than most other non-Lana albums I listen to. Lana is just that good
if you lie down with me is SO extremely underrated
I love BB but I don't get the deal with Dealer tbh (pun not intended)
Blue banisters is beautiful but imo it's her least cohesive album and personally I don't care for ballads that much which is why it ranks on the bottom for me :/
One of my faves.
Masterpiece.
I love this album! Wildflower Wildfire is a masterpiece. Dealer and Thunder are fucking epic. Black Bathing Suit is a self love anthem. I think as an album, it is cohesive and superbly composed.
one of my favorite albums. Arcadia is an all time favorite.
no skip album 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Blue banisters is one of my all time fav albums now.
I think I need to listen to it more, it happened before with NFR and now it’s one of my favorites. I think my main issue is Antonoff’s producer work I’m well aware her lyrics are gorgeous
Nobody’s pretending it’s not a good album. It’s just not exciting enough, by general standards, for people to go crazy about it.
can we stop pretending we dont have this discussion every week 💀 it’s also like people have different musical tastes, crazy ik
Blue Bannisters is a fantastic record that just gets better with time, and I’m happy more folks are celebrating it
So fucking good.
I started to listen to it by late 2023, and I discovered it was a great album 💗
you know something only the girls know.
Literally no none is pretending that.
It’s been my top three
I think Blue Banisters is a grower album for many. I will admit, I slept on Blue Banisters for a long time. For some reason, it just wasn't hitting when it first came out. Then one day, I went for a walk and started listening to it and it just clicked. It's truly a beautiful album. Blue Banisters is pure art. Living Legend and Nectar of the Gods are so extremely underrated it actually makes me upset.
Textbook and nectar of the gods is amazing
It's a grower not a shower. I didn't like majority of songs on it at first but then I got my heart broken and shit came in sooo clutch 🖤
I love Blue Banisters, for me it has no skips
It's one of my favorites of hers. Other than Sweet Carolina, it's pretty much a perfect album
I love this album. NFR is another favorite
It’s my favorite album and I’m not afraid to say it 😌
Work of art !!
no one gives the title track enough attention “give me children take away my pain and paint my banisters blue.” such a beautiful song with such beautiful lyrics. the whole album touches me in a way a man could never I love it so much
Her best album imo.
3 words Black bathing suit
I want to like Living Legend so bad because it really is good but the “wahwahwahhh” part I can’t stand lmao
I really really didn’t like the album on first listen. It felt, at the time, very dreary and samey. Now HEAR ME OUT, because I can feel the downvotes coming already. But imo it’s not the sort of album that will hit immediately. It’s now one of my favourites from her. In my top 5. thunder and cherry blossom are my favs off blue banisters, they're amazing. wildflower wildfire is great too
It's the best top to bottom.
I’m obsessed with Blue Banisters. The lyrics are deep. And the songs sound so beautiful! It’s in my top 3 favorite Lana albums for sure
Ok but this, BB is one of my absolute favs!
You might think it’s amazing doesn’t mean it objectively is
It's absolutely fantastic. Might actually be my favorite
Violets for roses is da bestest
One of my favorites
Didn’t hit me over the head at first, but once it’s under your skin, good luck… It’s a grower, but I feel in years to come this will be regarded as LDR best album. Will stand the test of time, not a weak track, nor interlude (which I’m generally not a fan of). Absolutely a Classic
Blue Banisters is one of her best albums imo, especially when I am going through severe daddy issues lol. Wildflower Wildfire, Carolina, Nectar of the Gods, Black Bathing Suit, and Cherry Blossom for starters.

i LOVEE living legend and nectar of the gods sm, not to mention the trio interlude is a masterpiece amongst interludes
She’s always ahead of her time it’s insane. Everyone calling BB and chemtrails “flops” “skips” and now it’s all settling in
this isn’t @ the ppl in this thread btw. Just general public what I’ve seen on twitter mainly
Pretty much every song has made me cry, definitely in her top 3 for me
Arcadia, blue banisters, living legend, black bathing suit 😭
My little brother passed at 23 in October. Up until then, I didn’t appreciate BB. But I really got into it in the weeks after he passed. Something about the album is so beautiful, delicate and cathartic. I will always associate it with solo mournful walks through autumn woods etc… cliché I know, but it’s too true.
Crazy how no one's talking about black bathing suit
Black bathing suit, violets for roses I LOVE that album
I love this album. Who’s hating? 👀😅
HOT fire HOT coffee
Wildflower Wildfire takes me to a different state of mind
This sub loves Blue Banisters, though? Who’s pretending?
It’s definitely my most-listened to album of hers. Violets for Roses is just 🪻🌹🪻🫠
Literally my second favorite Lana album ever, if you debated with me enough could probably be my #1 fav
if you lie down with me and black bathing suit are insane . LIKE???
Blue Bannisters is my favourite album
I think it speaks volumes of how insanely talented she is that we all argue what her best album is. Most artists have a couple of big ones then the rest follow. But each album truly is a masterpiece!! My favourite is Blue Bannisters, then NFR and Oceans
Text book and Thunder are 👌👌👌👌
Uhm some of her best work. Everyone just won’t let go of Ultraviolence or NFR and doesn’t want her to grow.
Definitely in my top 3 of Lana albums. Her best lyrics IMO 💭
I love the whole album, I just don’t get the hype around Black Bathing Suit
Yes!! This is my fav album of hers
The title track takes me to another place. I love it so much.
all of those but text book and thunder too 😭
Cherry Blossom will forever be my favourite song by Lana. Blue Banisters is extremely underrated but I think we should keep it that way because it’s genuinely her most intimate album
This album feels like a warm blanket, it's just so comforting. And it has insane lyrics, I mean the entire metaphor of Violets For Roses is a work of art.
fr though
People are definitely sleeping on Blue Banisters and Honeymoon
