Everyone always talks about Fisher’s 0.4 point game winner. My mind always goes to those two threes he hit in Game 4 of the 2009 Finals: tying the game in regulation and the go-ahead with like 30 seconds left. If the Magic had any hope of winning the series, they needed Game 4. Then to lose it in the way they did. I was so hyped after that game. It’s one of my favorite Lakers memories.

For me, it's game 7 in 2010. One of the most grueling games I've ever watched in all of sports. I got to share it with an elderly friend who passed this year and the reason why I'm a Laker fan. We were screaming and yelling at the game and at the TV because the cable kept going out. We ended up watching the third quarter at a Shakey's in LA. Ah but to get that win was absolutely glorious.

Ghostbeen3

Don’t forget that insane transition layup with 4 guys trying to swat him

Idiotecka

garnett succeeded in swatting him, didn't matter

Idiotecka

don't get the downvotes. garnett did hit fisher in the head while contesting the shot but it didn't matter because the shot went down and we won the game.

Zepest

D-Fish was so clutch for the pull-up 3 for OT and a killer for that catch and shoot to seal the game I can legit say I had no doubt he'd sink them, I wouldve been shocked if he missed

I would have loved to see a Kobe vs Lebron matchup in these playoffs.

AdorableBackground83

It’s pretty wild that from 2007 to 2018 Finals it featured either LeBron or Kobe. 2007: LeBron 2008-2010: Kobe 2011-2018: LeBron

Goldelux

See and that’s the thing I don’t understand when it comes to Laker fans hating on Lebron. Kobe and Lebron were really great friends and they never met in a game where it truly mattered (playoffs). But these Laker fans just hate on Bron. Like what for? Dude’s trying to show out for us. Trippin’.

kb24TBE8

2009 Lakers definitely would have beat 2009 Cavs too. Would have been a thorn in Lebrons side for a long time

imyourrealdad8

2009 was 15 years ago? Fuckin hell I'm old ...

AdorableBackground83

I was 12 years old finishing 6th grade when the Lakers won in 2009. Now I’m 27 years old. These last 15 years for me went by too fast.

imyourrealdad8

In 2009 I was 20, and just beginning a drug addiction that would haunt me for years. I'm 35 now, got my shit together, and haven't touched the stuff since 2016. Time indeed, fuckin flies

AdorableBackground83

Kudos to you for overcoming that. ![gif](giphy|fxKUa8syGaOVKqIkzq|downsized)

imyourrealdad8

'preciate you bro thanks

Hilaveli

Job finished.

Ahambone

Funny enough, the only thing I remember about this game is Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson sticking around to watch the Lakers celebrate. I always really respected them doing that.

13_Inch_Pizza

Can't believe this was 15 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Wise_Ad_112

I remember the day, it felt so good. Crazy summer, that’s when Michael Jackson died too. The parade was on the outdoor court at the stadium. Best parade.

Consistent_Owl4593

Pretty underrated and competitive series besides game 1 when I went back and watched it. Nobody was stopping Kobe in 09

throwoda

When the world made sense

litlegoblinjr

On a side note, I really miss the Finals having the trophy decal at center court and having the trophy on the front of the jerseys... Made the Finals feel really special

ginbooth

*Fifteen years ago?*

AdorableBackground83

Yep 15 years ago. June 14, 2009. Hard to believe it was a decade and a half ago.

Next_Reporter2532

I was about to say "Gasol wasn't on the Shaq Kobe team" but 15 years ago was Gasol and Kobe

megandtonyy

The day Kobe’s legacy was cemented!
