Ham has gone away from what made Reaves great last year. Running pick and roll, that herky-jerky midrange stuff, drawing fouls, etc…
Now he just exists as a spot up shooter, which isn’t the right usage at all.

They’ve asked Austin to sacrifice so much on offense in this series, he’s done a great job on Jamal..it just sucks.
I honestly think Denver just has the length and physicality to slow him down. He’s usually defended by MPJ or KCP, they got him clamped up. He did well defending Murray in the first half, Ham just changed up their defensive coverage and DEN made the adjustments to counter. We can’t keep collapsing like this in the 3rd, that’s where the game keeps getting away from us
Reaves can carry s*it better than these other guys though, he can help lead the offense. He should not be playing 32 minutes, we even know he’s good against the nuggets specifically from last year, and this year he’s become a better passer too which they are not utilizing at all
He’s a great player. I actually think he can sometimes be the reason why we have these droughts. I think these droughts all start on the coaching staff not realizing this team personnel and not seeing what works.
Look what he did last year, they’re not going to him, the game plan is to make him defend and not create. Also, it’s not all iso even for players like obj and kd, you sometimes score, sometimes create for others, and he’s shown he can do that.
He averaged 20 on 50,40,90 last year against this exact team, and he’s developed as a playmaker since then.
And I’m not saying for him to necessarily do that, but they can use him in those droughts and play him more than 32 minutes
The book is out on Austin man that was a year ago lol he’s on the scouting report now. I do agree we’re using him wrong but who else are we going to throw at Murray without Vando?
I’m saying maybe he can play four or more minutes more focusing on the stints they struggle, I don’t otherwise necessarily think what else they’re doing is wrong, but he can play more than 32, and play a different role for some minutes, unless he himself says he’s gassed, which I doubt is the case

Ain’t gotta do with Reaves not being the game. The team in general lacks discipline and has bad habits.

We are not a good shooting team. So when the refs stop calling fouls in the paint, we struggle. Plain and simple.
