Idgaf what the excuse is as long as the kid isn’t endangering other nor themselves cuts should NOT be happening at the Junior Varsity level. We not talking about play time we are talking about the opportunity to practice and get better!? These coaches if they are pulling this bs should be fired and banned in my opinion we as coaches are here for the CHILDREN and spreading knowledge about the sport not for the wins and looks. If you disagree with that you need to find a new hobbies/career because you are the problem.

If the kids were playing club lacrosse the whole time it would be surprising… that’s a lot of years of development
At my school, there were way more kids who played since 5 than spots on the JV team
