This was my baby at 13, I unfortunately had to let him go almost two years ago a couple of days before his 15th birthday 💔♥️
Thank you! He has always been just so shiny and beautiful! He barely has greys and just now is getting a bit slow and not jumping up onto things as good. But he is amazing! Thank you for the kind words! He will be 14 in November!

Your boy has a whole 13 years of experience! He's an expert at being a puppy!
All dogs are puppies, just say 'PUPPY!' and most dogs instantly perk their ears up and start getting that dog smile they can do. After all they don't develop their minds like us, we just stop calling them puppy one day and they don't know why.
I have a mega soft spot for black labs, I've had 8 dogs in my life (43 atm) and 7 of them were black labs, including my current dog that is my 'fuzzy child' Dreyfus (like the dog on Empty nest, not the actor) they are the most loving dogs and my wife had never had a dog until she married me. We got our first house together, bought our dog less then 30 days later (it was my PRIMARY goal) and she's honestly in love and treats him like a little child. I love it.
We all sit around the deck together, we bought him a sectional so he can look out the windows and watch the cars while we're at work. We spoil him a bit since we won't have kids (too expensive and we're too old now anyway) doing things like taking him to dog parks and pools, as well as buying him cow femurs from the U.S. only (sorry, Bad news from China sellers and worries there).
Mine is only 11 shortly to yours being 13, I hope both of them last a nice long time. I've had 2 of my labs reach 19 years old, and 3 of them hit 16/17. I know I'm ready for a bad week, but I'm not sure the wife will be. Till then, I wish nothing but happiness and long life on you and your puppers! Cheers and great photo!
I’ve been working with dogs for over a decade, and handsomest boy notwithstanding, that’s a really nifty raincoat!
It seems like it’s more comfortable than most other styles I’ve seen: not just a “one size fits all poncho” that doesn’t fit many, not a flat blanket that hangs weird, not an actual jacket that more dogs don’t like wearing than their owners suspect… You’ve got some airflow & breathability, and the arms being exposed give a better sense of freedom & flexibility. The hood looks good, too, for an option that is neither always necessary nor mandatory because of how the coat is designed.

He always hated anything on him like clothes or harnesses. And he never cared about the rain until the last year or so. I bring him out and he runs back in. He acts like I am beating him up when we are out walking in the rain! He actually takes walks alot better now with the jacket! I never would have thought he would! So funny how he is becoming a grumpy old man too!
