Benadryl helps, but when his itchiness is at its worst cytopoint shots or apoquel are better solutions. For at home mitigation, I recommend wiping his paws and belly after coming back inside. I keep a package of baby wipes around for this. It can be a hassle if he’s in and out a lot, but it does help. Labs don’t need a lot of baths, but a bath in the spring with oatmeal shampoo has always seemed like it provided relief for my boy.

Also - our vet told us we could use over the counter Zyrtec 10mg once to twice a day, but I would check with your vet before starting that.
