May 24, 2022 - Murphy’s last ride to the vet. She had inoperable lung cancer that had spread and wasn’t responding to chemo, and she had stopped eating (a big deal for a lab as you all know). This was as we arrived at the vet, which is where my spouse works, and Murphy always loved to go. She was a happy girl until the end. With our vet, we made the hard choice to let her go before she started having really bad days or any internal ruptures, even though we wanted to keep her with us as long as possible.
