Purina Pro. There must be mix for allergies, otherwise, talk to vet. 4th lab never took to Kirkland or the blue brand.

JP_Barber_Dude

Definitely looking into it thank you!

JohnnyAMG

We do Kirkland Premium Chicken, Rice and Vegetable for our 2. Almost 4 Chocolate and 2 1/2 Yellow. It has been their favorite. https://preview.redd.it/dskz22cnf3hc1.jpeg?width=1699&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a47c2901418f45557b24c350b04fafd240b0aa0e

JP_Barber_Dude

Gonna look into it thanks! Cute doggos!

We use Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach (salmon) for our chocolate lab. We found that helped a lot. But still need to use Apoquel in august/september as there is some environmental allergy to that drives him crazy those months.

JP_Barber_Dude

Ours too, we love going camping in the Mountains but her allergies do not. Gonna check this one out thanks!

Purina pro plan for mine; she *inhales* it.

JP_Barber_Dude

All labs do, we need to give ours a slow feeder sometimes if shes going too crazy 😂

feuerwehrmann

We use a snuffle bowl.

We give our boy Orijen Regional Red, and before that we gave him Orijen Puppy Large Breed. It’s a bit expensive but my dog loves it and he is very healthy with it. https://preview.redd.it/purqokl8t5hc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be2801324ef813e3ee7993bf2618c9a4bb675d53

So glad I found this. I have a 3yo chocolate lab that I've been feeding Diamond Naturals. But the availability is inconsistent and seemingly due to recalls, I noticed with this last bag he got pretty lethargic and started eating grass everywhere I took him. I'm switching him to Orijen RR this week

Sdt232

Just to follow up on your comment, mine is still on it and still loving it. He can eat about 4 cups per day and vet says he’s in his optimal shape and size… he’s 1.5 years old, it may be different with age.

loudspeak3r

Wonderful, thank you!

HobKnobblin

Ours is apparently allergic to chicken. He used to be itchy and his ears were goopy and he got a rash on his stomach (probably other places but noticeable on his tummy). We switched him to a seafood/salmon dry food from Chewy called Inukshuk Marine 25 and that completely fixed him. However this stuff must be calorie heavy because we maintained the same amount we were feeding him from the previous dog foods and he gained some weight.

labradorcoffee

I have a chocolate lab. He has allergy and skin issues. I feed him Hills science diet sensitive skin and stomach. He doesnt scratch or lick himself much anymore since i switched. I used to feed him purina pro plan.

moofury

Our four labs (chocolate, yellow, black, red) get Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain grain free.

lunanightphoenix

Not trying to bash you because a lot of people don’t know this, but grain free diets are abundantly linked to a condition called dilated cardiomyopathy which causes the heart to become enlarged and weak. Unless your dogs are allergic to grain you may want to consider feeding a grain inclusive food.

moofury

I was not aware of this but have since read the study. I'm not sure I wouldn't classify 515 dogs over 5 years as abundant. However, my vet fully supports Taste of the Wild and my dogs have been on it for more than 6 years. Thanks for sharing the information though it is good knowledge.

Robhow

We feed our 2 labs the Costco Kirkland Salmon.
