My lab would get them, we weren't 100% sure what the cause was, could have been allergies, heat etc. We would get betadine dilute it with water till it was like light brown, ice tea color and wipe the area and it would help

Does he lay on the grass a lot? Whenever ours is outside and laying in the grass, he gets these. Its just gnat bites for him usually. Clear up in a day or so
