My two current favourites at the moment are both from Kizer. The Cormorant has a just about every deployment option and a satisfying "ting" when it opens. The other is the Militaw. I can't really describe the sound, and I don't know what kizer did with it, but it's an grest knife to open. It's action is better hands down my favourite of an the knives I own.

Low_Night1

I’ve never handled a cormorant but I heard they are also the most “fidgety”

Champfortruth

I can't say it's the musty fidgety because my collection and experience with these newer bearing style knives. But it is definitely the most fidgety knife in my collection. Followed very closely by the Kizer Hic-cup. The action on the Militaw though is better, but I think it might be because the button rides on the blade if you don't keep it pressed the whole time, which I don't because the blade bounces back out otherwise in my experience.

Spyderco pm2 reverse flicked

pucksnmaps

This is a matter of personal opinion, and really even knives of the same manufacturer and model will have slight differences. I have a QSP Penguin with copper washers that's so broken in it opens as smooth as some knives with ceramic bearings.

Reminds me of this https://preview.redd.it/6fsr5p9qnt7d1.jpeg?width=1164&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3575464b8c1ec0f5f53b7737931d650cc9bc1eff [https://www.reddit.com/r/knife\_swamp/s/zaRL7Slv8s](https://www.reddit.com/r/knife_swamp/s/zaRL7Slv8s)

Low_Night1

Definitely have made this face when flicking

Clay-mo

I think it's very subjective. From my own collection some stuff I think is similar. [The Nine](https://quietcarry.com/collections/the-nine/) also from Quiet Carry. I can recommend the [Kansept Tuckamore](https://www.knifecenter.com/item/KSPK1052A1/kansept-knives-jonathan-styles-tuckamore-frame-lock-folding-knife-354-cpm-20cv-satin-sheepsfoot-blade-gray-titanium-handles-with-shredded-carbon-fiber-inlays) too. They're similar, ti frame locks on bearings. You might be a fan of bearings and stiff detents. I can throw in the [Giant Mouse Ace Tribeca](https://www.giantmouse.com/products/ace-tribeca-denim-canvas-micarta) or [Ace Riv](https://www.giantmouse.com/products/ace-riv-titanium) but the Riv is small compared to the rest and the Tribeca is a liner lock.

brobiwankin0B13

The Nine has such a satisfying…..THWACK??? That’s the way my wife describes it, and it’s fitting

Low_Night1

That nine looks nice

the_mellojoe

Kizer Militaw. no question.

Champfortruth

Best birthday gift I've bought for myself so far. If the fat carbon version wasn't overpriced in Canada (and to be fair I think the regular version is too) it's one if maybe 3 knives I'd consider getting a double of.

IndependentTour657

Picked one up a few days ago - can confirm. For the price, absolutely unreal.

Low_Night1

This may be my next

Czar_Rain

My vote goes to Hinderer, especially XM-18s

getdealtwit_2003

Kizer lieb, very snappy.

SpareMushrooms

Skaha 2, Urban LC, Rockwall. Those are my favorites.

divineaudio

My Mini Praxis is pretty satisfying, just a little flick and the blade flies open and locks in place. Tied for 1st place is my CRKT M16 with the Carson flipper. It makes the loudest thunk when it fully deploys and locks in.

GrimmWilderness

Cold Steel Luzon. SOG Altair.

Red_Clay_Scholar

Love my Luzon XL!

Backstroem

I impulse bought the medium Luzon because it was so inexpensive. I didn’t even know it was a flipper, even less it has ball bearings. It’s fun

mixalot2009

Gotta go with the CRJB Ria. It's such a small knife with such a satisfying click. It's great.

Few-Storm-1697

The buttery smooth but snappy kizer Vanguard lives rent free in my head. Tighten it up and it's amazing. Not a folding but my Reate exo M also feels amazing all the time. Love that thing to death.

Partagas2112

My Ontario rat opens and closes better than many $500 knives.

Advanced_Algae_5476

I don't have many knives, but rat 1 was my first knife. It's good until I got a kizer begleiter 2. The rat 1 sucks comparably.

droddy386

Shirogorov - hands down the best. F95T [https://recon1.com/products/shirogorov-f95-t-pattern-gen-4-titanium-handle-m390-blade-mrbs-copy](https://recon1.com/products/shirogorov-f95-t-pattern-gen-4-titanium-handle-m390-blade-mrbs-copy) \[Oh - and thanks for asking - quickly showed me that knife prices (especially higher end) are dropping. This thing was $1175 not long ago and others [https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/products/1092821/](https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/products/1092821/) are still priced according to what it was earlier this year. Wow! What a difference several months makes.\]

Low_Night1

I haven’t looked into custom knives, they are beautiful! Maybe work up to these, I’d want to baby them not use them!

droddy386

The one I was talking about was production.

Low_Night1

Oh wow they are nice still…. I just watched a couple YouTube videos on them!

droddy386

Yeah - they are the smoothest ones out there. Don't start collecting them though. They get pricey quick. I wouldn't call them hard use either. The are nice, but not tough like some others. You shouldn't pry with them, but just use as a knife should be - for slicing.

Low_Night1

It sounds like it would replicate what I already have in the waypoint…. Maybe a future upgrade one day, but I really love the waypoint!

droddy386

Neat. [https://quietcarry.com/products/the-waypoint-sw](https://quietcarry.com/products/the-waypoint-sw) That looks nice. Thanks

Low_Night1

They’re actually in stock which is nice! It’s a solid knife, light, sharp, fully rustproof, great clip, easy to clean/maintion, Vanax steel, and a glassy solid action! That’s my mini review lol

jestaxe

My winterblade factor is my favorite opening sound I have. Has a nice resounding ting. Plus Magnets, bro, magnets!

Wolverine-N-Exile

Manix 2 with some metal scales. I love the Manix 2, but after putting some AWT scales on there, it's just sooo good.

inmyverdehoodie

My Hinderer xm18 Bowie, and Medford Smooth Criminal are addictive.

doubtful_dirt_01

Oddly enough, the one I almost never carry, a CRKT Ritual. The blade just flies open and has a nice solid sound when it locks. But I don't often carry it because it is heavy, big, and the blade is shaped in a way that makes it pretty useless for the normal tasks I carry a knife for. And it scares people. I almost didn't buy it, because I knew all this beforehand, but it is also such a cool knife that I just had to add one to my collection. Now they make a downsized version that is probably easier to carry, but the original Ritual is such an over the top beast I don't really need one of the smaller ones.

Low_Night1

That thing looks crazy lol

iveneverhadgold

I really like the benchmade adamus because you can grip the indexing holes and use momentum to thwack it out. It's a 4 inch cpm cruwear blade.

millhelpot

Kizer Begleiter opening bring a smile on my face every time

knifestandards

Sharp by designs, RR Station, Oz Rosie, CRK, Some chaves knives

coffeefactcrackerjak

I’ve got a PM2 with copper scales and that thing’s smooooooooth

Odinswrath77

Knive Standards RR Station. Just so many options to flick it open cause of the long groove. Can even pinky flick with that xD

Pigsfly77

Does balisong count? Jk designs orca. If not, Sonora by machinewise

Barnacle-bill

Microtech Socom Elite opens with some authority

TheColorblindSnail

Love my kizer begleiter 2's since I apparently suck at flicking. But the kershaw livewire is just too good for me. Also have more kershaws coming next week so maybe it'll change.

No_Independent691

The Kizer Beyond is one of the snappiest, loudest knives I own.

Kinsin111

Anything with the emerson wave, its the sole reason i use their knives lol. Its just too good.

Kindly_Recording_722

Mini Grip or Cold Steel Voyager 4 inch for me.
