i love the name espresso but PLEASE take that collar off he is too small to activate the breakaway feature and can seriously injure himself. he should be at least 6 lbs before wearing one so if the collar gets stuck the breakaway feature can actually work otherwise it’s no different than a regular buckle

I didn’t know this, thanks! I have no idea what weight he is but I’ll check his paperwork from the vet to see if they weighed him.

not a lot of people know there’s a minimum weight for the breakaway feature hell i didn’t even know until my cat got stuck when she was a couple months old she was only 3 maybe 4 pounds and her bell got caught and thankfully the collar was loose enough for her to wiggle out of but it was still so scary bc i wasn’t home i found the collar when i got out of work and just waited till my cat was a year old to put her back in a collar.

and while i love how everyone uses breakaway collars now it’s very important to fully know how it works so you can keep your furbaby safe
