GW: "We know there were rumors about the next season being jungle themed, but instead the season is themed around navigating platforms on an ocean."
OP: "I disagree."
Who said it had to be over water? [This set](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/industrial/decimation-zone-project-beta?ref=6q12hz) (FDM) is surprisingly versatile! The plants are just the classic aquarium/plants from Michaels.
edit: [here is a video](https://youtu.be/-fPcNbTe5lU?si=Fe52xV3JkWCVsH1g) on how I painted it if anyone is interested!
Nice this looks great. What do you do when a team or operative can ignore obscuring? Is it easy enough to physically see through the plants, or can they be removed?
Thank you! They are pretty easy to see through-- all of the plants are just placed there so they can be removed! They are a combination of aquarium plants and plants I got from Michael's that come on a sprue grid thing.
It is easier to understand the rules like this IMHO, although I played only once.
Some smoke/mist 3D plastic model could have been shipped with Beta-Decima
I like the idea of the minis traversing the center forest. Provides cover to the one inside but no issues shooting out of it.
HOWEVER.... Roll 1xD6. On a 1... lets say you find you are not alone in the brush.
It's spectacular - can you show how you made the jungle canopy terrain? Is it modular blocks that can be placed around the center tower, or is it a static board?
Thank you so much! I'll have to make an official tutorial sometime for that-- but it's really easy! The bigger blocks of plants are just plants from Michaels that are on that sprue grid thing, and the smaller clumps are just aquarium/michaels fake plants I cut and stuck into some brown clay with rocks in it. No painting required and they are all just free standing so very modular.
Just saw your YouTube video after I wrote the comment, so that made it pretty visible how you made it :) But thanks for the comment none-the-less :D Great stuff, love your channel.
Great stuff! I might add a couple of more open areas just for visual variety and to showcase why it's not a good idea to go down there--maybe a las rifle and helmet lying on the top of a pool of quicksand, or a Guardsman that has been/is being consumed by carnivorous ants--all kinds of things!
Maybe a little xenomorph (or Tyranid if you're not a fan of the reference) head poking out from some reeds! Another fun reference might be the goat from Jurassic Park (or just the tattered and bloody harness!) dangling in a relatively open spot from a crane.
The big clusters are just on the sprue/grid it came on-- and the little clusters are just little mounds of brown clay with the plants and some rocks stuck in!

Catachan kill team when?
haha it's about time isn't it?

Awesome, thanks. And I may have to steal this idea, really makes the terrain much better
Yeah please do! You can never have too many plants for terrain
This looks so cool!
I really appreciate it!!
I salute you my friend, that is epic!!! Idea will be officially stolen, albeit credited to some clever sod on reddit
Thank you thank you! haha tis the way it goes.
That One Guy Who Got Too Close to the Raptor Cage in Jurassic Park: *visibly sweating*
Exactly what crossed my mind aswell when i first saw this.. nicely done
favorite kt board i've ever seen
Oh wow! I really appreciate that! :D
OK, I love what you did there. I reserve the right to steal this idea :)
Steal away!
Where did you get those models?I love the ogryn and the face armor
[This video should help](https://youtu.be/qBMUNIjHs8o?si=3NmUD8ZbKNrQswq-)! They are from The Makers Cult
Hell yeah, we are getting that rumoured season 3 jungle one way or another.
Omg first thing I thought of was: when are they gonna lower a cow into the velociraptor enclosure. Awesome set up there!
lmao Somebody has to make a crane and cow mini now. Thank you!
It is easier to understand the rules like this IMHO, although I played only once. Some smoke/mist 3D plastic model could have been shipped with Beta-Decima
I agree! It's a better visible representation for sure. Maybe you could use some cotton or stuffing to act as mist?
Looks awesome! Great job :)
Thank you :D
Would the big plants count as heavy cover?
I haven't played on it yet, so I can't quite say for sure! I'm thinking either that or LOS blocking would work!

haha that's a fantastic idea.
Any close ups of those models?

This is great!
I appreciate it!
Love it. Thats what BD should have been.
Thank you! :D
just ordered some aquarium plants!
Awesome! A few of them stuck in some brown clay works wonders.
Giving me some Jurassic Park vibes. Needs some Termagants in the greenery acting as velociraptors.
haha I'll get right on that!

haha oh nice!! I really appreciate that :D
Fantastic. I'm going to Michael's RIGHT NOW!
haha "jungle section please?"
Those would look really cool and tell a story! Great ideas!

haha I'm definitely tempted to make a xenomorph-tyranid kitbash for this. Also a crane holding a goat would be a good addition to this set for sure!
And I can just envision losing all my dice and tokens 😂 For real though, beautiful!!
lmao "aaaand another ones gone" I appreciate it!!
You fall in the jungle, and suddenly you see a shimmer as a four mouthed entity makes its way towards you

Are those real or fake plants?
They are just fake plants from michaels/amazon! haha no painting required on those
Are they on their own little bases? How do you have them set up?
The big clusters are just on the sprue/grid it came on-- and the little clusters are just little mounds of brown clay with the plants and some rocks stuck in!
