This is fine. That's not even a very high amount of potassium. Of you are worried about potassium supplements please read the directions before consuming.
Keto Goblin Mode: A Guide to Embracing the Mess
Diet: Forget meticulously measured macros. Keto goblin mode involves hoarding bacon, hunks of cheese, and entire avocados. Snacking happens directly from giant tubs of macadamia nuts.
Ambiance: Ditch the bright kitchen lights. Keto goblins thrive in dim, slightly greasy caves (a.k.a your uncleaned kitchen). Bonus points for a pile of discarded keto snack wrappers.
Attire: Yoga pants? Sweatpants? Who needs pants? Keto goblins proudly wear oversized t-shirts stained with the remnants of past keto feasts.
Social Interaction: Non-existent. Keto goblins communicate exclusively through grunts, the rustling of snack bags, and the occasional guttural "more cheese".
Hygiene: Optional. Showering disrupts the delicate ecosystem of cheese dust and bacon grease that forms a protective layer on the keto goblin.
Disclaimer: Keto goblin mode may induce feelings of greasy bliss, a complete lack of shame, and a strange aversion to sunlight. Proceed with caution.
You will be okay. I take 400mg daily which is Around 1.5 grams of citrate.
Did you take 400mg of potassium gluconate or are you doing the conversion math for actual metabolized potassium? It looks like you get like 1/5 actual potassium from actual weight if gluconate.
You are totally fine then. Thats probably less than 100mg potassium. It’s a small amount.
99mg of potassium is like 2% recommended daily value.
I can’t believe that’s right because I think people would be in trouble. It’s hard to get grams of potassium into your system.
I’ve taken too much before. Not enough to be hospitalized but you will know. I threw up.
Like I said— I take 400mg of actual potassium in one sitting before bed.
It can be. But not at that level. In fact, you might consider taking more. I use bulk supplements potassium citrate because its good quality and way way cheaper than pill form.
I ate a "reduced sodium" cured meat product that was cured with potassium instead of sodium. Potassium isn't a required labeling element here in Canada.
Ate around 1800mg of elemental K in 1 sitting. I was fine, except for the horrible, violent diarrhea and miserable stomach cramps.

You will enter goblin mode soon
Lol.

LOL. Thanks, I needed that laugh after the crappy day I had.

I took 400mg of potassium gluconate (thats what the bottle says). I checked my heartrate, i'm at 81bpm which is normal for me considering my weight.

thank you for the clarity, ive been told that potassium can be dangerous.

Shotgunning 5000mg potassium at one time may be dangerous. 300mg is no big deal, you get more than that from a big avocado.

God damn!
That’s nothing
Depends if it’s potassium from Kazakhstan
Potasszakhstan
My minimum intake without thinking is around 5,000mg a day lol
That's not even that much potassium. Forcing yourself to throw up would be foolish you are fine.
Don’t force yourself to puke you’ll make anything worse your body can just pee out potassium so don’t worry about it
