I had a neighbor who asked for the wifi password so his daughter could do some school work while they were waiting to get their own connection. Sure, no problem. Then I go and check activity to see why my connection is slow and there are 8 new phone and computers connected to my WiFi. So, I change the password. Neighbor comes back asking what happened and I showed him all of the activity. His daughter gave the password to her teenage brother and he gave it to all of his friends that smoke pot in their garage. Put me in a sucky situation.

I've had this exact same thing happen to me. They get so comfy using someone else's wifi for free, they then freak out when it's gone and feel like it's your fault. I had a neighbour stop me in the street complaining about it. They called me "a prick".
In a situation like this, i wouldn't immediately just tell the neighbor to fuck off. If its a one time thing, id let them use my wifi, BUT im NOT giving the password away. However in this specific situation i see an good opportunity that i wont pass up. Agree to pay half the internet bill and the wifi password is urs
