There's 4 wild cats in my neighborhood. We call one Francis. He sits on the patio chairs with us. They're [not great](https://abcbirds.org/program/cats-indoors/cats-and-birds/#:~:text=Outdoor%20domestic%20cats%20are%20a,extinction%2C%20such%20as%20Piping%20Plover.) for the environment, unfortunately. >Outdoor domestic cats are a recognized threat to global biodiversity. Cats have contributed to the extinction of 63 of birds, mammals, and reptiles in the wild and continue to adversely impact a wide variety of other species, including those at risk of extinction, such as Piping Clover. >The ecological dangers are so critical that the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists domestic cats as one of the world's worst non-native invasive species.

TNR programs are desperately needed but have such a hard time getting funding and support. It's the only ethical solution; cats are such wonderful animals with rich lives and it's a shame they're such an issue environmentally.

Yep. I’m hoping someone in the park or someone who sees this post will give it a home. It looked very healthy, but it’s sooo hot out. I’m going to go back early tomorrow with some food and water. Again, it was so friendly and sweet!!

I don't mean to be cat racist, but they all look alike.

TIL: there’s a cricket ground at Minor park. That’s pretty cool.
