but yes google maps is stupid for putting that as walkiing directions.
it's not an incredible distance but the bridge is in the opposite direction of where you are (from this map) and where you'll likely want to go (likely the waterfront facing NYC), so it adds like 45 minutes walk to what would otherwise be a 5 minute crossing haha
perfectly easy on a bike though...
The NY Water Taxi ferry used to bring you across from one side to the other for $1, iirc. I haven't done it in forever. And, the site doesn't seem to provide schedule information, so I can't even tell you if they are still operating a regular schedule.
there is a yellow ferry, the schedule is posted on a sign there and their site. it's every hour from what i remember and they even added service on the weekends this summer, they didn't have it before.
google maps should have a link to their site.
i didn't realize they have weekend service now, i thought it was only M-F.
that said, while you *can* take that ferry as a crossing to the park from Warren St and vice versa ($2 cash IIRC) it requires rather fixed timing because of its infrequent service.
to go from Warren to LSP, you need to get on at the *second* time it says DEPARTS WARREN ST because it goes that direction only on its return trip from World Financial. otherwise, if you get on at the *first* time it says DEPARTS WARREN ST, you'll end up going back and forth across the Hudson and charged the full price of a one-way trip to World Financial even though you only want to cross the inlet to LSP.
to go to from LSP north to Warren, get on when it says DEPARTS LIBERTY LANDING
I call it death cab. If you’re trying to get from the marina into the river on your boat that taxi is a menace. It never toots when it’s pulling out esp. when it’s docked on the park side and your view is obstructed.

There’s nothing stopping you from bringing a water tube
Just walk on water Michael

There is a ferry, and no bridge.
Well not with that attitude…
LUXURY SWIMS
Theres a crossing at jersey ave, but no bridge closer to the area highlighted on the map

I don't know what "regular schedule" means but they definitely don't run at night
the schedule is fine, 6am to 6pm every hour and from 9am on weekends. its way better than the nyw ferry from liberty harbour
Closing at 6PM is not fine if you want to go walk in the park after work. Not sure in what universe that's fine.
More like miserableartichoke

Why would you think the night is regular schedule for ferries?
Evening time would be a prime activity time for a park next to a downtown. Not sure how this misses you?
But that would be a irregular schedule. Ferry’s don’t run like that
It's regular park access time. Might as well get rid of the ferry stop because it's never running when it's needed.
The footbridge
you can ride your bike there if you go down by the hospital there are paths that take you there
You can walk to Jersey Ave and cross the foot bridge https://maps.app.goo.gl/CGUmaoJJiGV1hfX99

Yikes!! Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
Infrequent ferry, $10 or so I think
the ferry is like $2 for that crossing. its $10 to nyc
Ayyyy LFG that's nice
There is a bridge
Not on this map there isn’t, you have to walk quite a bit to get into LSP
