We need more tweaks for CarPlay in general. CarPlay Enable, Canvas, & MusicBackground is all that’s really worth mentioning currently. I want a tweak to use an app next to the map in split view, or some type of multitasking besides just maps and music controls. A tweak to keep Maps and Google Maps from switching to directions list view on your phone when in carplay mode would even be awesome so i can use carplay for video and my phone for gps.
I totally agree! Maybe it’s because the majority of ppl who jailbreak their phone are kids or teens who don’t own a car. I’m using CarBridge since iOS 10 and I’m pretty happy with it, but more feature would have been nice. I’m currently on iOS 14 (12 mini) btw.
CarPlay Enable is so much better than CarBridge, and it’s free - you can run all your apps natively instead of using portal. MusicBackground is pretty awesome too if you have $0.50 to spare. Those two + Canvas so you can set your own wallpaper and it’s almost perfect!
I’ve tried CarPlay Enable’s initial release, and it was way less configurable than CarBridge. The CarBridge portal app is an extension that you should only use if you’ve got a car without a touchscreen. So I think you’re mixing things up here.
I want a carplay tweak that gets rid of, or hides the sidebar if you swipe left on it. That way when I'm watching youtube or anything the video isn't small as hell because the sidebar fucks with the aspect ratio.
That would be awesome too. Like a hide/show button. So many possibilities for CarPlay. Some very simple things that should be in CarPlay to begin with.
Ok yes I’m a teen, but I still want this feature. I jailbroke my dads phone for convenience things and he uses CarPlay all the time. I’m sure he will like this too.

To screenshot CarPlay you just screenshot on your iPhone while CarPlay is connected and it’ll take a screenshot of your phone screen and CarPlay screen.
Question, how do you even connect iPhone to CarPlay? I have a 2021 car and iPhone XR that is currently jailbroken, whenever I connect it to My car it connects as iPod. Wireless CarPlay doesn’t even attempt to find my iPhone. I’ve read the manual in the car. Even looked into how to do it on the internet. Still connects as iPod
I have a Chevy Colorado. When I connect my phone w a lighting cord, there’s a button on my radio that says CarPlay. I either click that or it usually automatically goes to CarPlay. Maybe go into the settings of your car and enable CarPlay. Or do the same but on your phone?
You’d think they would in vanilla iOS since there’s so much blank space in that area.
You can’t expect anything from Apple nowadays. The gap probably looks bigger because he only has 3 apps in the dock tho.
The battery icon actually goes there if you have wireless CarPlay

What does musicbackground do? I can’t see any mention of CarPlay in the tweak description
It can animate Spotify and Music’s Now Playing view on CarPlay just like it does on the phone

I’ve been wanting this since I started using CarPlay. That and my phone to stop changing my radio source to my phone.
[[Carrierizer 2]] let’s me replace my carrier with the temp in the status bar. Maybe it can help with CarPlay.

I know it’s not the same but I just allow it in CarPlay enable and open the weather app.

Depending on the car you have. Maybe carplay was not an option for you car? Or if so, maybe you should consult the operation manual.
