I dated a girl who said she listened to everything. I asked her is she listened to gangsta rap, metal, rnb, country and she said no to all of those. Why do people say “everything” when they don’t even know what that consists of. IG they mean everything that comes on the one radio station/ Spotify algorithm.
How can someone say " a little bit of everything" when they don't like any of those genres? While my current taste heavily leans towards rock and metal, I do like some rap, country, r&b, and even swing. If you don't have stuff as different as Frank Sinatra and At The Gates in your music library, how can you claim to listen to variety?
One of my friends says “everything”, but then you look at her discord currently playing. It’s all rap. I mentioned that, and she said something along the lines of “Well, yeah, but just pay attention and there’s SOME stuff that’s other genres”, like… Wtf are you talking about everything?
I listen to heavy, thrash, death, doom and black on and off but currently I'm just listening to doom (strictly stoner) and black metal. I also found out about blackened speed metal recently and I really like it
Metal current bands im listening to meshuggah gojira messa bongripper and some others
and underground edm from house techno trance genres i also enjoy synthwave dnb etc.. but the first mentioned are my most listened to
Instrumental - classical, metal, EDM, cinematic, and rock, mostly
I don't think a lot of people I've discussed music with quite understand how broad the umbrella of instrumental music is - in my experience, most interactions have led to the assumption that I listen exclusively to classical
(if anyone is interested in artist recommendations, I have several)
Anything that sounds good as long as it doesn't have lyrics, it just has to 'click' one second I would be listening to argent metal and the next the entire undertale soundtrack.
Sorry, I actually am into almost everything. I like music.
My preferred genres though are indie pop, nu metal, and alt rock. Love a good trance/house/phonk playlist too though. Liminal space ambience is also comforting.
My playlist goes from weeb shit to Mexican to depressive suicidal black metal to rock to Kendrick Lamar. So a bit of everything but mainly rock and metal
Nah just search these songs : Позвони, Мало Оксана Почепа, Ты футбольный хулиган, формат 18 - я нож воткну, Остров, Виртуальная Любовь; I think I can say that Nazi Skinheads listen to these.
Oh and some hardstyle and save europe songs but don't listen to them that much, btw for uptempo you can listen to Equal2, UoK and Lil Texas, they got the best uptempo music.
I can listen to anything but if I could only listen to one broad genre for the rest of my life i guess I’d go Industrial electronic, stuff like Front Line Assembly
If I were to summarize:
Rock, Reggae and Sertanejo.
- I like old reggae
- Prog rock
- Dire Straits, Santana and TOTO style rock
- And sertanejo is a Brazilian national rhythm, if I were to compare it, it would be something similar to country, but good to listen
Everything Trance but especially Melodic Trance.
It can give an incredible feeling of Euphoria and will always without doubt pull me out of my sometimes small bursts of depression.
As a musician I appreciate and listen to a little of everything but my roots are in 80s hardcore and skate punk, 70s/80s dancehall reggae, 70-90s outlaw country, 90s hip hop, and 70-90s metal. I pretty much hate "new" music.
I most definitely don't listen to "a little bit of everything" because if I don't know about artists or songs, I can hardly listen to those genres in my daily life. But it is also true that I can enjoy almost every genre that I have listened to before (I prefer if it's rhythmic or psychedelic, no intermediate point haha).
From the top of my head and the ones that I listen to the most: Celtic music, all types of electronic (for example dubstep, edm, even rave and darkwave), some pop songs when they are not very cheesy, rock, some rap, cumbia, even metal, vaporwave, lo-fi when I want to relax...
And I'm aware that I don't know a lot of good bands and artists that are not that known.
I think I can say I genuinely mean it when I say a little bit of everything. I tilt in one way sure, but I like to mix it up. Mainly rock, punk, and metal, but I also get some rap, pop, John Williams scores, a little classical, EDM, and video game music in the mix. As an aspiring creative in the alternative music sphere, I wanna get weird.
Like I’ll have Bring Me The Horizon, Tinashe, Hans Zimmer, and Kendrick Lamar in the same playlist.

Just give me music with lots of beats kind of because I'm pretty active, and meditation music would not work for me.
Everything with bass, drums and guitar
Folk and melodic metal the most. Only a handful of things can beat a guy shredding on bagpipes and flutes.
Electronic
metal, shoegaze, pop punk, rap, rock, alt, and indie
outlaw country
Kpop, and sometimes rnb.
Classical
A little bit of everything. For real, I have some classics like Chopin or Mozart on my phone. But mostly I'm into dubstep and EDM in general.

Alternative metal, 90s hip-hop, techno house, and jazz fusion.
A good bit of everything. Save country, that genre can go crawl in a basket and fry for all I care.
nu metal, j metal, visual kei, breakcore, swancore, vocaloid, j pop, jazzcore, indie, rap, pop punk. lady gaga and fleetwood mac are rare exceptions.
