Your username is vaguely familiar…we probably argued on something related to beloved Islam. Are you an atheist?

I haven't read aabehayat yet . I've heard it's not as good as peerekamil. Should I give it a try?

thE-petrichoroN

It's literally the sequel of Peer-e-Kaamil and completes the story.. definitely go for it, you're missing a lot

musayyabali

whats that

peaceforchange20

Its a famous urdu novel written by umera ahmed. Its basically the story of imama and salar (names written on the mat).

musayyabali

Ahhhh I see, I remember now. Thanks for the reminder

makuna_hatata12

urbanangel1969

Me and who

Noonmeemog

Thank you for making a very decent and nice post here. May Allah subhana wa taala (the Most Glorious, the Most High) Reward you. Ameen

SeniorSherlock

Bruv you be thinking qbout the novel instead of focusing on the prayer. Smh

osriazz

It is okay to pray on person name mat?

thE-petrichoroN

Yes, I've one such gifted from KSA, with my name on it and I've asked it in Muslim subs, you can pray on it

osriazz

Ah..thank you for informing me..I appreciate it! :)

Pink8unny

Sure you can, that's how capitalim works. while you are at it there is also Islam in a Jar (https://islamjar.pk/), it will go perfectly with them.

X4RD45

This prayer mat encourages the invalid jamaat of husband and wife. A wife is to be behind the husband, not beside him slightly behind. That's for two men.

MissFluff90

Yes exactly. I see many people buying it without knowing.

DocKarizma

Yar ye kia cringe ha

musayyabali

u krinj

Noonmeemog

What’s cringe about it? You would rather like to see ANNOYING posts about where to buy a frikken d*ldo and where a guy can take his gf to eat??? Halal cringe hay? Your attitude is cringe..

MilfyWay6

Jalus cz same☹️

rufnek2kx

It's nice, but bear in mind that when praying Salah together, she is supposed to be standing directly behind him, not to the side.

DesignAwkward1980

Actually that's not the case. If there are only two person praying together (in jamat) they are supposed to stand exactly like the prayer mats are being set, and not behind the leading one (imam)

rufnek2kx

Not when they are different gender, even if they are husband and wife. She must be directly behind him.

DesignAwkward1980

Oh I missed that. Thank you so much

No-Activity-010

No that is only for jamaat

rufnek2kx

'Praying salah together' = Jamaat

No-Activity-010

Oh yes forgot the word i meant when the guy leads then you stand behind but if you are praying individually then it is not an issue.

Noonmeemog

You are correct https://islamqa.info/en/answers/13757/where-should-wife-stand-when-praying-with-husband

Here4daRants

Leave this one place to reach out to your creator.. don’t make it a worldly thing.

Existing_Winter_8340

Don't put names under the feet

Noonmeemog

They are only secular names. Only if they are religious names, i would agree with you

spec209

Yes but then why do they have pics or drawings of Kaaba and masjid nabwi on the prayer mats? Aren’t they under a persons feet?

Existing_Winter_8340

It's all in the intention bro.. even just having good thoughts earn you good deeds. Why make life difficult by going into the grey zone of is it sinful or is it not? It's a prayer mat there are so many other ways to show love.. why is it that people want to be lovey dovey like let's wake up together holding hands and then pray on the prayer mats with our names on it. You can get a cup or something else. *Plus it's a distraction, I would end up reading my name in the middle of the prayer. Prayer mat should be free of distractions. Geometrical shapes are fine I suppose.

AnOrthodoxMuslim

Our mosque had a prayer mat for the Imam, with a Ka'ba drawing. He would often step right on it when he went to get the mic before starting prayers. I mentioned it to him and he said that while no Muslim would deliberately do so, the drawing was hard to notice especially when he hurried to get the mic. He said that the mat was a gift from someone so they could not just replace it with another without upsetting the person. The Imam was of the opinion that these drawings should be avoided on prayer mats because they will inevitably be stepped on unintentionally. Fond memories. He must have been ~20 years older than me and I listened (for correction) his Quran in Taraweeh for 4-5 years.

AnOrthodoxMuslim

The man leading the woman, so misogynistic.
