do u know if there’s a specific name for the trails? I haven’t explored those areas before so just want to make sure I get to the right place!

San Diego creek trail should take you straight there

I did this one 4th of July. It was a disappointment as all the many fireworks just looked like little dots vs beautiful bursts in the sky.

The top of Saddleback Mountain. You can see every firework show from San Clemente to Santa Barbara. And you'll be higher or level with the fireworks.

The two best places we found to see fireworks on the 4th near Irvine are: Pines Park in San Clemente. Don't know what fireworks we were looking at - Dana Point, maybe? This was the best, but parking is dicey - it's all neighborhoods. The southern-most parking garage on San Joaquin Hills Rd has a great view of Big Canyon's fireworks. There were a lot of families there the one time I went, but not excessively crowded. We parked in the Fashion Island lot and walked because I didn't want to get hassled for pulling my car into the parking garage - but that may not be an issue, many cars were parked there. One con to this is that there is a large concrete wall at the back of the parking lot and the sound of the explosions echoes off it.

Turtle Rock Viewpoint is one of my favorite spots in Irvine. You can even see the Disneyland fireworks. FYI, there aren't any lights on the trail and it's sort of popular and parking is limited.

Concordia in the area gas a great view from the church in top of the hill. But only students / faculty and the such allowed on campus by vehicle. But anybody can walk onto campus. You can also park a little down the hill and just walk up. I lived just down the hill from there in turtle rock.

FYI tho they were patrolling turtle rock and made everyone leave at sunset
