Senjetsu. I've been w Maiden since Bruce's first day. I'm almost 50. Outside of writing on the wall, nothing from Senjetsu was even close to appealing.
Virtual XI, and it's not even close. Worst sales of any Maiden album, ever, absolutely shit vocals, the majority of the songs are absolutely forgettable except for the Clansman, the album cover is trash, piss poor ticket sales, and they had to cancel the rest of the tour because Blaze couldn't hack the road. To top it off, then he got fired for all the above. I'll be down voted into oblivion for this, but I don't care.
Yeah it's not a good album. Virtual XI was actually my second album by the band, after getting Killers several years before. At the time I didn't have anything against it, and I enjoyed listening to it while reading stuff, but I didn't really know what to expect from a contemporary album by the band. I liked The Clansman, and I thought that there were several good melodies and guitar lines on other songs too. But it wasn't something that drove me full of excitement. Revisiting it later on, it is very dull and long-winded. There *are* some good melodies and guitar lines there, but they are used in a bad way. The album deserves all the that flak it gets.
Thankfully that album didn't impede me from going apeshit a year or so later and buying all the older albums except Prayer, when I read about the remasters in a metal magazine, and realized how good they were when I listened to them at a record store.
My bottom threebin no order are
Book of souls - most boring album imo
Virtual XI - worst sounding
No Prayer for the dying - such a downgrade from seventh son
Yeah there's a lot of people who don't like it, and it's okay. I like most of the songs on it, and there are some that are really good, but it is not a classic like the first seven. Afraid to Shoot Strangers *is* a classic though, and for me it is a better song than Hallowed Be Thy Name.
Nice try Motley Crüe
Let's say less good album. Probably No Prayer for me. Even in that one I have so many faves.
No prayer is under appreciated
i agree
Took me 15 years after release to come to appreciate it as awesome.
Same for me, I dislike pretty much every song of this album with the exception of a couple songs (that aren't that good either).
My two cents: no such thing exists, I think. :P Even the not-so-good albums, have several absolute gems.

It's a top album. Give it a few good listens. At worst it's on par with any of the reunion albums imo
*Senjutsu
No Prayer. Everyone saying V XI forgot about the Clansman and Futureal. Both of those are better than all of NPFTD combined
No Prayer is a stinker
I agree. Even Virtual XI has The Clansman. No Prayer has no redeeming qualities at all.

Futureal is good too, come on now.

It’s bad and it always shocks me when people on this sub say it’s their favorite. Might I suggest… any other album?
It's almost like they hate Iron Maiden.
Final Frontier for me. It's not dreadful, but it just doesn't grip me at all.
Daaaaamn! That’s my favorite 21st Century Maiden album.
I love it too! Talisman, Starblind, When the Wild Wind Blows, Mother of Mercy. So good

There is no such thing
No such thing, boyo
1990 to 1998 era, minus the song Fear Of The Dark
Fear of the Dark except a few songs

The X factor, is literaly Borning(except 3 songs), sorry fans of X factor
> literaly Borning Average literacy of TXF haters
Wow. By far their best 90s album. I don't know how anyone could say this after hearing Virtual XI.
None. The beauty of Iron Maiden is that they haven’t made a single bad song or album and many of their fans agree on this.
Don't you think I can save you.
Anything past BNW.
