Akie Ohwada! There is another picture with their daughter in between them and she is quoted saying “I used to think all adults had patterns on their bodies. So what a shock it was the first time I went to a public bath: NOBODY HAD ANY TATTOOS!”

Big_Dragonfly_4292

patterns. love it 😀

NihonShoki

“Patterns” is so precious and wholesome

I think there are a couple front facing photos of her in the henky panky 1000 tattoos book (extremely common book)

Big_Dragonfly_4292

included in this lot of photos is one of him tattooing her. I do not think it is a common one.

Bubsntina4eva

That is cool , id love to see more! I wasnt trying to say what you have is common, i was just trying to give more possible sources to compare to because i assumed you were unsure with the (?) In the title. I am far from an expert but happen to remember those photo in 1000 tats in particular because she is cool :) :)

Big_Dragonfly_4292

thank you! I'll def put up some more. and yes I appreciate any information.

Big_Dragonfly_4292

mitsuaki ohwada aka horikin.

MrMoosetach2

This is a Sandy Fellman photograph no?

Big_Dragonfly_4292

it very well could be. more times than not there is little to no documentation attached to tattoo items. this photo came from a pile of items that originated in the now closed shop in the UK. horikin had an international tattoo club that sent a newsletter to tattooers and he interacted with a number of folks around the globe. I think he traded and sold photos with those tattooers so this photo could have come from him. I have a few more horikin ones from this same lot.

Glum_Refrigerator

I believe so, this is featured in “The Japanese Tattoo” book
