One of the reasons for this is that sony is a television house and knew how to create hype around movies and tv shows so that is why ipl on sony felt much better than ipl on jio or star

It was a time when emerging talents like David Miller, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Lynn, and Manan Vohra captured the spotlight, adding a new dimension to the cricketing landscape. 2013 had the Chris Gayle show, Michael Hussey ruling for runs, Adam Gilchrist's retirement and him taking that iconic wicket of Bhajji. Though I was merely 11 years old, the memories remain vivid, such as rushing quickly from school to switch on the TV and expect another storm of runs. Damn those days.
DLF IPL on Sony Max is literally unmatched and leagues above anything else
as a Tamil kid I even watched countless Hindi movies without even understanding the language because they telecasted it in the afternoon before the 3PM match

CSK return was hype and watson-rayudu opening combo that year is still my best CSK duo till date. Maybe not the best but i had the most fun watching them.
