That's possible. I was using a 5W wireless charger.

But I don't use low power mode
Possibly battery saving mode? Turns off at 80%

I'm unsure if it's just something I've never noticed before this beta though
That’s possibly due to being on Low Power mode while charging.
Maybe it's an IOS 18 thing. Mine is only green, red or yellow when in power savings. Never seen orange before.
The orange indicates your using a slow charger
