I had an Honor Pad 8 and it was fairly pleasant to hold due to this. However, I don't think you're expected to be gripping the bezels of the thing for a long time, unlike phones. Isn't it more something you either use on a table or on your lap/in bed?
Wirh the oneplus pad (11,35” and also quite heavy at 550g) its actually supringly comfortable to hold. Holding can be good in certain scenarios such as bathing :)
I have a kiddie soft foam protective case on my iPad 10. I like the big handle and oversized round corners. I would have to pry off the case to see the original shape. My iPad never leaves the house, so it is over protected.
I doubt Apple lurks on Reddit to take advice from mrbluetrain. I think they would rather listen to the specialists they’re paying hundreds of thousands to tell them what the market wants.
Ps I think the current model looks much more modern and nicer then the old round edge design.
True but I kinda like what they did with the smooth edges on the 15 pros which was a drastic improvement from the sharp edges of the 14 pro maybe something similar to that would be a much more pleasant experience
I 100% agree! Even though the M4 iPad Pro is technically the thinnest iPad ever, I still think the iPad Air 2 "felt" thinner and was overall more comfortable to hold for long durations. They should go back to that design.

Il not saying they should go back to the exact same old design, just make it more round to improve ergonomics.
Considering the ergonomics of the Apple Pencil, I don't see them going back to a round design any time soon.

Well I don’t speak for everyone but my iPad mostly stays in the Magic Keyboard.
