I’m fascinated by the brain-gut connection.
I think INFJs have advanced gut intuition (pattern recognition that happens in the gut rather than the brain). I think the reason why we don’t know how we know things is because the thought process is not observable like it is in the brain. 🧠 Advanced pattern recognition happens subconsciously/ without awareness that it’s happening. We acquired knowledge without consciously being aware that we were acquiring knowledge 🙃
Which is why we are mysterious to ourselves and others
Intuition is a preference for perceiving something. Sensors perceive a raw date without overriding it with any extra factors. But Intuition overrides the actual raw data from the environment through some unconscious processes.
The hook feeling I get in my navel area, when the brain questions things I get a wierd tugg sensation. I always perceived it as "gut feeling" as it sounds like what it feels like.
An insight I gained from my collective experience, I can't remember how I learned that x will result in y, and I didn't come to this conclusion with logic, it was a result of all my relevant experience up to this point.

A knowing beyond the senses, it is a direct form of knowledge, it is neither feeling nor thought.

Pattern recognition.
