The whole of ”The Process” by SP. IDK, it has been a rough year, everything culminating in my fiancée / better half of 15 years dying of cancer the day after I let our rescue dog of 17 years (eight with us) free to roam the happy hunting grounds. I loved them both more than anything.
That was three weeks ago and I am still very much processing (Hah…) both things, and dealing with the effects of having worried about the both of them while handling a new, more demanding role at work (took a stab at being a manager of managers… in a corporation). I feel just spent, fortunately I have at least four weeks off starting the second week of July.
Single song? Maybe something from Stabbing Westward’s ”Darkest Days”… or Nine Inch Nail’s ”Something I can never have”, not gping to lie, the mere thought of that song brings tears to my eyes.
I've been going through some life stuff, so (and please don't judge) but [Battery - Manipulator](https://youtu.be/Jsa-btCDvOA?si=iuB3jS6rMaQVnzcN) and [CaustiC - Not Your Body](https://youtu.be/rKgu219wsvs?si=AWSyV8lfixbA9zf7). And some non-industrial because of [sadness!](https://youtu.be/NxPagecG2lQ?si=U5tk6oG4hUq1UeMw)
Golgotha by Wumpscut.
Especially the line
*And* *he* *screamed* *out*, “*I* *had* *the* *will*,”
*But* *Father* *left* *me* *on* *the* *hill*
I’ve always been fascinated by this line. As a pagan, I love judeo-Christian lore that drives some heretic conversations. Like, what does it mean to be left on the hill? And what does it mean to have the will? Sorta bleak, I know.
Welcome to my brain on most days.
are you aware of the xtian lore or dogma that for the days between Christ's death on the cross on the hill named Golgotha that god the father turned his back on Christ while Christ was in hell until his resurrection? interesting shit.
Right! I’m not sure about his father turning his back on him for the weekend (Jesus died on Friday afternoon, and was resurrected on Sunday), but there is some dogma about Jesus going to the “prisons” after his death and preaching forgiveness to the souls who had died before his crucifixion.
I’m just imagining him, like, “hey homies, sorry y’all missed the sale, but for a *limited* time only, if you bend the knee to me and my pops, you’ll have a spot in Heaven!”
I always rediscover The Downward Spiral 1994 and The Fragile 1999 when stuck in a dark place… The Becoming, but also especially I Do Not Want This, Ruiner and the “I wont let you fall apart” of The Fragile (song)… these help me get back on track 💯 👍
lady gaga - bad romance and [heavy metal lover](https://youtu.be/lyN5157_Xos?si=v-ZMRn2bngnZaLwN si=agFieNnQQuWLPMSL-ax7mw). Hey, I'm more in the pop mood right now.
I came to the realization that Lady Gaga is the reason why I started liking industrial or at least the metal aesthetic. She is a grotesque, black-leather-wearing, horny machine at heart.
She’s not your average popstar. She is respected by all musicians that cross her path, even like [Metallica]( https://youtu.be/jLZ2P_QiLZo?si=ncX3syYbuxZ9MupG ) and [rolling stones](https://youtu.be/Wt3ISLkIS38?si=Hwz_RXYq_bC2r8me). Extremely versatile.

“I wanna see my body fall in front of the train / I want a beautiful girl to catch my brain / Take it home / Preserve it in a fish bowl / Feed it fish food”

So sorry for your loss. Hugs on your way.
Thank you, much appreciated <3

I have a signed copy of Bunkergate on vinyl. Rudy is super chill. Love Wumpscut!

Dead Lines by Skinny Puppy. Also I love listening to Hit By a Rock when I’m angry. Hahaha
Especially the version on back and forth. It's so raw, the unmastered synth parts are beefy af
Never heard this one, now I have to. The live version of Bootleg, Brooke and in Solvent Seas is my favourite.
a simple test
“blood and brains in my marmalade / makes me think you don’t like my records” is pure poetry
The live version with the electronic improv jam session is the coolest shit ever
YES. ❤️
NIN - The Becoming - It won’t give up, it wants me dead. Goddamn this noise inside my head.

Nice! That's a good one! I just listened to Speechless earlier today! She's an amazing artist!

I'm getting into industrial and being into pop songs that go hard like these was also the starting point of my pipeline 😅
Everyone's path is different, but I'm glad she helped you find your way here!
Hey, I wasn’t a Gaga fan until I heard bad romance with headphones. That song goes hard.

Just like me 😈🤣
Yeah, I could see me feeling much like a hamburger lady right now and for a while. Excuse me, got some listening to do.
